Theatre as a Form of Greatness

In her attempt of proving the theatricality of the theatre, Maria Vodă Căpuşan cultivates a solidly assimilated bibliography, as well as last minute analytical instruments. Her essays have a predominantly theoretical nature, referring less to a certain play or performance, and more to the theatrical phenomena, with its fundamental dimensions and conceptualizations. The author believes that the mythical scripts of the 20th century drama conserve their modelling and integrative functions regardless of the denying passion of different literary, avant-garde or simply modernist movements. Within her books, Maria Vodă Căpușan offers theoretical syntheses worthy of interest from the perspective of new methodological and epistemological approaches applied with a critical discernment and inconspicuous erudition

    Mircea Ivănescu şi convenţiile poeziei

Mircea Ivanescu draws, in the space of his profound, ironic and at the same time parodic poems, a universe of culture-referential reverie and pure playfulness. The poetic register is therefore mainly playful, unmystifying the major themes and the experiences are translated into the fragile ink of bookish warmth. For Mircea Ivanescu, the cultural reference is mainly translated by a faded representation of the real. In spite of some detail pointing to the exterior universe, the world of these poems is made of reminiscence, allusions and affective echoes, rather than of clear notations of the objects. Not few of these poems are built by directing poetic "events" of limited dimensions, events that preserve their hypothetic status, being situated in the plan of possibility, of ambiguity and probability, rather than in that of certainty

The Proceedings of the International Conference European Integration - Between Tradition and ModernityThe results of the 2015 general elections were celebrated as a victory of the Kurdish minority given that the HDP (the major Kurdish party) succeeded to pass the threshold, being the first Kurdish party in the history of modern Turkey to enter the parliament. Although observers foresaw the resolution of the Kurdish issue under the new parliamentary formula, Turkey and the PKK resumed their four-decade old armed struggle. The paper analyses the causes and evolution of Turkey’s Kurdish question, the peace process, as well as the domestic and international context which facilitated the events. After many years of civil war, causing the loss of the life of tens of thousands Kurds and Turks alike, the AKP party launched its so-called “Kurdish opening” policy, granting some cultural rights to the Kurdish minority and announcing peace negotiation with the imprisoned PKK leader, Abdullah Öcalan. Despite this positive evolutions the “Kurdish question” remains a pressing issue on the state’s political agenda, requiring concrete steps both in terms of minority rights and disarming of the rebels
