    Summary: The function of Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid such as DHA, EPA are now well known world widely through strong scientific evidences and the importance of nutritional value and popularity are increasing every day all over the world with the name of omega 3 fatty acids.^1,2,3^ However, the fish oil, the source of omega 3 fatty acid had been considered as very vulnerable to oxidation. Many papers say the reason why is because its very easy to oxidize fish oil. The greater the Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid contents in the fish oil is, the faster oxidation takes place.^4,5^ Here I show that tuna oil extracted from Albacore Tuna Head in closed circuit under low temperature, at first decompressing then pressurizing and heating in a container, is very stable against the oxidation and conserved natural contents of Vitamins richly. The oil ware kept in a transparent bottle under natural light and some time under the sun light, with room temperature and opened every day for the sensual odor test during three months. This oil showed a stability of Fatty Acid Composition, Acid Value and Peroxide Value. That mean omega 3 fatty acids are more easy to handle and ample use as food ingredient to put it in many foods such as in a ketchup, mayonnaise, bread and noodle, rather than use in the capsules only

    Efficacy of the New Double-Layer Stent for Unresectable Distal Malignant Biliary Obstruction: A Single-Center Retrospective Study

    Background and Aims. For distal malignant biliary obstruction in cases with short life expectancy, occlusion of plastic stents (PSs) does not usually occur before death, and the application of such a procedure is considered adequate from the viewpoint of cost-effectiveness. Methods and Setting. A new commercially available DLS with side holes, a conventional DLS, and, uncovered self-expanding metal stents (SEMSs) were retrospectively evaluated in patients with jaundice due to unresectable distal malignant biliary obstruction. Results. A total of 64 patients received endoscopic biliary stenting (23 patients with the new DLS, 24 patients with conventional DLS, and 17 patients with uncovered SEMS) from December 2002 to August 2009. Median patency time was found to be 198 days for the new DLS group and 99 days for the conventional DLS group, revealing a significant difference between devices. There was, however, no significant difference in median patency time between the new DLS and the uncovered SEMS (198 days versus 344 days). Conclusion. The new DLS is efficient and safe and may be considered the first choice for unresectable distal malignant obstruction in cases with short life expectancy

    Isothermal remanent magnetization and the spin dimensionality of spin glasses

    The isothermal remanent magnetization is used to investigate dynamical magnetic properties of spatially three dimensional spin glasses with different spin dimensionality (Ising, XY, Heisenberg). The isothermal remanent magnetization is recorded vs. temperature after intermittent application of a weak magnetic field at a constant temperature ThT_h. We observe that in the case of the Heisenberg spin glasses, the equilibrated spin structure and the direction of the excess moment are recovered at ThT_h. The isothermal remanent magnetization thus reflects the directional character of the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interaction present in Heisenberg systems.Comment: tPHL2e style; 7 page, 3 figure

    Petrography of Yamato 984028 lherzolitic shergottite and its melt vein: Implications for its shock metamorphism and origin of the vein

    AbstractYamato 984028 (Y984028) is a newly identified lherzolitic shergottite, recovered from the Yamato Mountains, Antarctica, in 1999. As part of a consortium study, we conducted petrographic observations of Y984028 and its melt vein in order to investigate its shock metamorphism. The rock displays the typical non-poikilitic texture of lherzolitic shergottite, characterized by a framework of olivine, minor pyroxene (pigeonite and augite), and interstitial maskelynite. Shock metamorphic features include irregular fractures in olivine and pyroxene, shock-induced twin-lamellae in pyroxene, and the complete conversion of plagioclase to maskelynite, features consistent with those found in other lherzolitic shergottites. The melt vein is composed of coarse mineral fragments (mainly olivine) entrained in a matrix of fine-grained euhedral olivine (with several modes of compositional zoning) and interstitial glassy material. Some coarse olivine fragments consist of an assemblage of fine-grained euhedral to subhedral olivine crystals, suggesting shock-induced fragmentation, recrystallization, and/or a process of sintering. The implication is that the fine-grained olivine crystals in the matrix of the melt vein represent complicated crystallization environments and histories
