    This research is aimed to explain relation of lexical meaning and figurative meaning on Japanese idiom which use part of body`s hand as well as to find out the change meaning of hand on Japanese idiom. The conclusion of the semantic analysis on Japanese idiom which use part of body`s hand is: (1) Japanese idiom have two syntaxes that is positive verb and negative form. (2) te + ga + Adj. structure syntaxes`s idiom doesn`t have negative form. (3) one idiom possibly have different meaning (4) idiomatic meaning can be find out when right substance with left substance have compared

    Religious Behavior of Indonesian Muslims as Responses to the Covid-19 Pandemic

    Covid-19 has become a world pandemic, and Indonesia is among the worse cases. Problems that arise are faced by all parties, including religious elites as well as laypeople. This study was conducted to describe how Muslims in Indonesia responded to and tried to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic. The study uses descriptive qualitative methods to collect data by observation, in-depth interview by phone, and online searching documents. From the research conducted, Islamic mass organizations have a relatively similar opinion that limits religious activities supported by various religious arguments. As for laypeople’s behavior, most are the same as mass organizations and Islamic leaders; very few have different behaviors. In anticipation of the virus spreading, most of them restricted religious activities in full by closing down the mosque and stopping public prayers. Few remained active as before the Covid-19 pandemic

    Planar Two-Loop Five-Parton Amplitudes from Numerical Unitarity

    We compute a complete set of independent leading-color two-loop five-parton amplitudes in QCD. These constitute a fundamental ingredient for the next-to-next-to-leading order QCD corrections to three-jet production at hadron colliders. We show how to consistently consider helicity amplitudes with external fermions in dimensional regularization, allowing the application of a numerical variant of the unitarity approach. Amplitudes are computed by exploiting a decomposition of the integrand into master and surface terms that is independent of the parton type. Master integral coefficients are numerically computed in either finite-field or floating-point arithmetic and combined with known analytic master integrals. We recompute two-loop leading-color four-parton amplitudes as a check of our implementation. Results are presented for all independent four- and five-parton processes including contributions with massless closed fermion loops.Comment: v3: corrected wrong signs for five-gluon Nf2N_f^2 amplitudes with vanishing tree

    Multi-jet cross sections at NLO with BlackHat and Sherpa

    In this talk, we report on a recent next-to-leading order QCD calculation of the production of a W boson in association with three jets at hadron colliders.
