The space of complete embedded maximal surfaces with isolated singularities in the 3-dimensional Lorentz-Minkowski space \l^3

We show that a complete embedded maximal surface in the 3-dimensional Lorentz-Minkowski space $L^3$ with a finite number of singularities is, up to a Lorentzian isometry, an entire graph over any spacelike plane asymptotic to a vertical half catenoid or a horizontal plane and with conelike singular points. We study the space $G_n$ of entire maximal graphs over $\{x_3=0\}$ in $L^3$ with $n+1 \geq 2$ conelike singularities and vertical limit normal vector at infinity. We show that $G_n$ is a real analytic manifold of dimension $3n+4,$ and the coordinates are given by the position of the singular points in $R^3$ and the logarithmic growth at the end. We also introduce the moduli space $M_n$ of {\em marked} graphs with $n+1$ singular points (a mark in a graph is an ordering of its singularities), which is a $(n+1)$-sheeted covering of $G_n.$ We prove that identifying marked graphs differing by translations, rotations about a vertical axis, homotheties or symmetries about a horizontal plane, the corresponding quotient space $M_n$ is an analytic manifold of dimension $3n-1.$Comment: 32 pages, 4 figures, corrected typos, former Theorem 3.3 (now Theorem 2.2) modifie

Valores interpersonales y cultura organizacional en colaboradores de una empresa de seguridad de la ciudad de Chiclayo, 2021

El presente estudio tuvo como finalidad Determinar la relación existente entre Valores interpersonales y Cultura organizacional en colaboradores de una empresa de seguridad de la ciudad de Chiclayo, 2021. Contando en tal estudio con una muestra de 111 colaboradores formales. El estudio forma parte de la línea de desarrollo organizacional de tipo descriptivo-correlacional con enfoque cuantitativo. Los instrumentos que fueron empleados en la investigación son la Escala de Valores interpersonales EVIS-2 (Colunchi, 2018) y el Cuestionario para evaluar la Cultura Organizacional (Lacherre, 2017). Se utilizó además el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman, en el cual se buscó medir las dos variables aleatorias cuantitativas. En cuando a los resultados de la presente investigación, el 38.7% (43 colaboradores) presentan un nivel alto de Valores interpersonales y el 36% (40 colaboradores) presentan un nivel medio de Cultura organizacional. La meritocracia y la gestion por competencias en los trabajadores del Gobierno Regional de Junin en el año 2018

El presente trabajo de investigación titulado: La meritocracia y la gestión por competencias en los trabajadores del Gobierno Regional de Junín en el año 2018, presenta como fin general: Establecer el nexo entre la meritocracia y la gestión por competencias en los trabajdores del Gobierno Regional de Junín en el año 2018. El tipo de investigación es básica, nivel correlacional, diseño no experimental: descriptivo correlacional por la no manipulación de sus variables, porque las relaciones descritas entre las variables se dan en un momento dado. La población en la investigación estuvo conformada por 399 trabajadores y con una muestra de 197 trabajadores. El instrumento de investigación que se utilizo para la recolección de datos fue el cuestionario, con una escala de medición de 5 alternativas y estructura con 29 items. El trabajo de investigación demuestra como resultado la existencia de una relación directa y considerable entre la meritocracia y la gestión por competencias en los trabajdores del Gobierno Regional de Junín en el año 2018. La conclusión obtenida sobre la base de los resultados determina la existencia de una relación positiva fuerte entre la meritocracia y la gestión por competencias con Rho de Spearman de 0.764 , también se encontraron las relaciones positivas fuertes : H2: 0.801; H3: 0.784 y H5: 0.862 y correlaciones positivas medias para las hipótesis especificas: H1: 0.682 ; y H4: 0.683 .Tesi

Chemical interactions between ship-originated air pollutants and ocean-emitted halogens

Ocean-going ships supply products from one region to another and contribute to the world's economy. Ship exhaust contains many air pollutants and results in significant changes in marine atmospheric composition. The role of Reactive Halogen Species (RHS) in the troposphere has received increasing recognition and oceans are the largest contributors to their atmospheric burden. However, the impact of shipping emissions on RHS and that of RHS on ship-originated air pollutants have not been studied in detail. Here, an updated WRF-Chem model is utilized to explore the chemical interactions between ship emissions and oceanic RHS over the East Asia seas in summer. The emissions and resulting chemical transformations from shipping activities increase the level of NO and NO2 at the surface, increase O3 in the South China Sea, but decrease O3 in the East China Sea. Such changes in pollutants result in remarkable changes in the levels of RHS as well as in their partitioning. The abundant RHS, in turn, reshape the loadings of air pollutants and those of the oxidants with marked patterns along the ship tracks. We, therefore, suggest that these important chemical interactions of ship-originated emissions with RHS should be considered in the environmental policy assessments of the role of shipping emissions in air quality and climate.Fil: Li, Qinyi. Core fucosylation mediated by the FucT-8 enzyme affects TRAIL-induced apoptosis and sensitivity to chemotherapy in human SW480 and SW620 colorectal cancer cells

Epithelial cells can undergo apoptosis by manipulating the balance between pro-survival and apoptotic signals. In this work, we show that TRAIL-induced apoptosis can be differentially regulated by the expression of α(1,6)fucosyltransferase (FucT-8), the only enzyme in mammals that transfers the α(1,6)fucose residue to the pentasaccharide core of complex N-glycans. Specifically, in the cellular model of colorectal cancer (CRC) progression formed using the human syngeneic lines SW480 and SW620, knockdown of the FucT-8-encoding FUT8 gene significantly enhanced TRAIL-induced apoptosis in SW480 cells. However, FUT8 repression did not affect SW620 cells, which suggests that core fucosylation differentiates TRAIL-sensitive premetastatic SW480 cells from TRAIL-resistant metastatic SW620 cells. In this regard, we provide evidence that phosphorylation of ERK1/2 kinases can dynamically regulate TRAIL-dependent apoptosis and that core fucosylation can control the ERK/MAPK pro-survival pathway in which SW480 and SW620 cells participate. Moreover, the depletion of core fucosylation sensitises primary tumour SW480 cells to the combination of TRAIL and low doses of 5-FU, oxaliplatin, irinotecan, or mitomycin C. In contrast, a combination of TRAIL and oxaliplatin, irinotecan, or bevacizumab reinforces resistance of FUT8-knockdown metastatic SW620 cells to apoptosis.
