    Differences in Behavior After Dental Health Counseling with Zoom Meetings for Middle School Students

    RISKESDAS data shows that the number of dental health problems is about 55.6% in junior high school students in Bali Province in 2018. The reason is because of low oral health behaviour, therefore dental health counseling is expected to overcome these problems. The aim of this study was to know the differences of behavior after being given oral health counseling to junior high school students.This type of research is quasi experimental with a one-to-one design pre-test and post-test groups. The sample consisted of 60 junior high school students with a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis with Wilcoxon test.The results of statistical tests in the study showed that there were significant differences related to knowledge (p = 0.000) 0.05, attitudes (p = 0.000) 0.05, and actions (p = 0.000) 0.05, after being given counseling with zoom meeting. Most of the students during pretest had moderate knowledge, attitudes, and actions, after being given counseling with a zoom meeting, the posttest scores increased to good.Keyword : Counseling; behaviour; zoom meetin

         ABSTRACT       The degree of acidity of pH saliva is a way to measure the degree of acid or alkaline of the saliva liquid. Gargling is the simple way to maintain the cleanliness of the teeth and the mouth.the fruits which contain of sour taste are chosen, strawberry and lemon fruits are chosen than any other fruits because they contain sour taste and produce fresh taste. They can use to make infused water. The objectives of this research are to determine the alteration of pH saliva before and after given treatment or gargling using strawberry and lemon infused water.       The researcher used Quasi Experimental or Experimental Pseudo Method. The researcher used pretest and posttest in the research design. The researcher divided two group designs. Both of them were given the same treatment by measuring the pH saliva before and after giving treatment. The sample of lemon infused water are 40 and the strawberry are also 40, so the total of the sample are 80 responden. Data analysis uses independent frequency and statistical distribusi of t-test.       The result of the research are about the difference of pH saliva before and after given the treatment using lemon and strawberry infused water. The difference of average of pH saliva before anf after given the treatment using lemon infused water is 0,3. Then, the difference of average of pH saliva before and after given the treatment using strawberry infused water is 0,4. In conclusion, both of them are equally can recude pH saliva, but using strawberry infused water work much better than lemon.     Information System for Early Detection of Dental and Mouth Diseases in Pregnant Women

    AbstractProblems with dental and oral health are experienced by pregnant women, including 30-100% of pregnant women experiencing gingivitis. Dental and oral health checks in pregnant women include a dental and oral health assessment card that contains the habits of pregnant women that can affect the risk of dental and oral diseases. The use of the card is not maximal and has not been widely used, so that dental and oral diseases in pregnant women are still high and cannot be detected properly.Objective: To produce innovations in the effort of early detection of risk information for dental and oral diseases based on information to support dental and oral health of pregnant womenMethod: The research method used in this study is the Research and Development method or research planning and development. With a sample of 20 consisting of 5 dentists, 5 dental nurses, 5 midwives, and 5 pregnant women. The main field test uses quasi-experimental post-test only control group design. The research instrument used was a questionnaire to assess the feasibility of media and questionnaires to test testimonials using the chi-square test.Results: there is a significant value in the test testimony of the application of early detection of dental and oral diseases in pregnant women seen with a p-value of 0.05, which means the application of early detection of dental and oral diseases as a medium of information that is easily acceptedConclusion: the application of early detection of dental and oral diseases in pregnant women is more effective than the dental health examination card in pregnant women 

    The Relationship Between Parental Knowledge and Attitudes About Dental Health on The Dental Health Status of Elementary School Age Children

    Children who are still growing and developing in health prevention and care really need the role of parents. Students who experience dental and oral problems often do not receive attention from their parents so these children are not taken to dental health service facilities for treatment. The research carried out was included in the type of analytical observational research or analytical survey, using a cross- sectional approach design. The sample in the study consisted of 34 students and 34 parents taken using total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using examination sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using univariate and bivariate analysis, Chi-square test to determine the relationship between parental behavior regarding dental health and the dental health status of elementary school age children. The results of the Chi-square statistical test showed that the p-value was 0.05, so Ha was rejected and Ho was accepted, so there was no significant relationship between parents' knowledge and attitudes towards the dental health status of elementary school aged children at SDN 3 Meday

    The aim of this study was to determine the effect of bay leaf extract mouthwashes on plaque formation. This type of research was experimental with pretest and posttest control group design. The number of samples was 30 students of class V SDN Meteseh, Tembalang, Semarang. The samples were divided into two groups, group I were rinsed with salam leaf extract and group II distilled water rinse. Plaque was measured using the plaque index by PHP before and after rinsing leaves extract. Analysis of the data used is the Independent Sample t - Test. The test results showed that the value of p = 0,000 which means a decrease in plaque index occurs significantly in the control and treatment groups. Independent Sample t - Test showed that the value of p = 0,005 so there was a significant difference between the control group rinsed with distilled water rinse treatment group to the salam leaf extract (Eugenia polyantha Wight). It can be concluded that gargling salam leaf extract could reduce the formation of dental plaque

    ABSTRACT The caries disease dental and oral health problems are high in Indonesia. The cause of caries disease one of which is the bacterium Streptococcus mutans. Efforts to prevent one of them with natural ingredients that lime peel. In lime peel essential oils are substances that are useful as antibacterial and phenols contained in the essential oil can denature bacterial cell proteins. The objective of this  the effect of lime juice on the skin inhibition of Streptococcus mutans bacteria.This is a quasi experimental study (quasi-experimental). Research subjects bacterium Streptococcus mutans. The study was conducted using a concentration of 10%, 20%, 40%, and 80% respectively - each concentration done 3x treatment. The data was analyzed with parametric test using ANOVA followed by Post Hoc test.The results showed a large area of inhibition of the average juice lime peel with a 10% concentration of 7.73 mm, a 20% concentration of 9.13 mm, a 40% concentration of 10.54 mm, and the concentration of 80% by 14.23 mm. Anova  analysis showed a significant  (p 0.05)  indicates that there is an influence juice lime peel in inhibiting the growth of Streptococcus mutans.The higher of the concentration, the greater the inhibition of the bacterium Streptococcus mutans.     The Influence of Long Time and Quality of Mother's According Through Peer Group Support on Behavior Changes and Debris Index in Children with Disabilities

    Children with special needs have limited intelligence and motor skills that cause a lack of dental and oral health maintenance. Children with special needs are at risk of developing dental and oral diseases. Therefore, it is very necessary to assist parents in maintaining the dental and oral health of children with special needs. Assistance for parents of children with special needs has been carried out 4 times in a period of 2 years on an ongoing basis. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the length and quality of maternal assistance on behavioral changes and the debris index of children with special needs in Meteseh. This type of research is pre-experimental with a pretest and posttest one group design. The sample in this study were 30 parents and children with special needs. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis, Wilcoxon test to determine differences in knowledge and attitudes of crew members and debris index before and after treatment. The Mann-Whitney Test was used to determine differences in the knowledge and attitudes of parents of children with disabilities to changes in debris index of children with disabilities. The results obtained indicate an increase in the knowledge and attitudes of children with disabilities Sparents. The debris index of children with disabilities Shas decreased but is still not enough to change the children with disabilities 's actions in maintaining dental and oral health into a good category. Assistance to parents of children with special needs needs to be carried out further and children with special needs still need more parental participation to achieve good dental and oral health measures.

    TITLEEFFECT OF SODA AND NON SODA CONTAINED TEA TO ACIDITY (pH) OF SALIVAABSTRACTThe saliva pH is the acidity of saliva. Carbonated tea beverage is tea drink mixed with soda. Carbonated beverages are tea not drink tea without soda mixture. In carbonated tea beverages containing sugar, CO2 (carbondioxide), ascorbic acid and citric acid and the carbonated drink tea does not contain sugar. From the contain of both these drinks can affect the pH of saliva. The purpose of this study is to determine differences in the pH of saliva between carbonated tea drinks and tea drinks are not fizzy.This study is conducted by quasi-experiment with a design. Pretest-posttest study population as many as 212 students of Department of Dental Nursing taken 20% in order to get a sample of 42 people, the technique decision-purposive sampling. The data obtained is  pH of saliva before and after drinking tea and tea carbonated ale. Analysis of the data used to see difference Saliva pH between tea and tea carbonated fizzy not done with the Mann-Whitney. The results showed that the differences in the average pH of saliva before and after tea sparkling is 0.9 and the average value of the difference before and after drinking tea are not sparkling is 0.4. The conclusion of this study is the change in no difference the pH Saliva between drinking carbonated tea and tea drinking ale in Dental Nursing student

    Effect of tooth brushing behavior toward Dental Plaque In Class IV and V on SDN Gajahmungkur Regency of Semarang; dental plaque was the primary agent of dental caries, gingivitis, and periodontal disease. Prevention of dental caries by mechanically plaque cleaning the brush. Research purposes to analyze what factors were related to the behavior of brushing teeth with dental plaque on Class IV and V students at State Elementary School of Gajahmungkur District Region. This type of research was the survey method and analytic cross-sectional design. A sample of 400 students conducted by proportional random sampling. Data collection methods are interviews, examinations and observations. Bivariate data analysis using Chi square test and multivariate Logistic Regression Test. The results Dental Plaque score classes IV and V students in elementary Gajahmungkur District of Semarang was still bad. Bivariate analysis there was a relation with plaque score of knowledge about brushing your teeth (p=0,001), attitudes about brushing your teeth (p=0,001), practice brushing (p=0,001), the parent's role (p=0,001) (p=0,001), means brushing your teeth (p=0,001), and pH of saliva >6,8 (p=0,001). Logistic regression test result performed on six potential variables obtained one variable which affect to plaque score was knowledge about brushing teeth OR= 7.88 ( 95% CI: 4.39 to 14.14)
