Association agreements agreed with the European Union and beyond, opening Romania and Romanian participants in international trade relations, prospects of major deep involvement in the world flow of values and knowledge. But it also means aligning our trade laws to European legislation profile, with priority to Community law and assimilation regulatory provisions of international conventions ratified across Romania as part of national law rules. Transnational corporations, which operate in more than one country or nation at a time, have become some of the most powerful economic and political entities in the world today. The United Nations has justly described these corporations as “the productive core of the globalizing world economy.globalization, transnational corporations, global village, ecommerce

    Get PDF
As average, for an experimental period of two years (2012-2013) the two short exploitation mixtures that represented the graduations of factor A (mixture) had the same productive capacity. The proportion between the grasses and legumes has influenced, in the same way, both the production of the Lolium perenne + Trifolium pratense pasture and the Festuca pratensis + Trifolium pratense pasture. Thus for the mixture that used Lolium perenne, the production increased to 4.88 t ha-1d.m. (ratio 75/25%) up to 6.46 t ha-1d.m. (ratio 25/75%). The increases were proved to be important and very important. For the mixture of Festuca pratensis + Trifolium pratense the productions were 5.26 t ha-1d.m.in the proportion of 75/25%, 5.56 t ha-1d.m. to 50/50% and 6.16 t ha-1d.m.at 25/75 ratio %

For drawing up the technical documentation of the Communal Road 151 – DN 6 –Section 1, located in the Drăghiceni commune area, Olt County, it was necessary the combined use of the modern GPS topography equipment – total station. The GPS technology was used to determine the points of the support network, and the total station to thicken it and raise the points on the ground. The computational operations were performed based on the field data, thus obtaining the absolute coordinates of the points that delineate the studied land in the Stereographic Projection System 1970.The drawing up of operations of the placement and delineation plan of the property body consist of representing the points that delineate the surface on a sheet of A3 format at a scale of 1:5000

The alcmaeon project: bringing humanities, the arts and medical education together

    Get PDF
The article is a systematic reflection on the Alcmaeon European project (2018-ES01-KA203-050606), which puts forth an alternative model for integrating the history of medicine into medical education. The project is developed within a partnership between education organizations, museums and universities from Spain, Great Britain, Italy, Greece and Romania. The project aims at shifting the focus of teaching the history of medicine from simply chronicling events to examining the process of medical development over time and studying it as a continuous inquiry by providing medical professionals with structured and harmonized online materials available in its own virtual museum and library. In addition, the arts can be used as a means to educate students of medicine in an agreeable atmosphere by means of focused interpretation and discussion with a view to developing their professionalism, selfawareness and communication skills, increasingly important assets for physicians. Bringing these disciplines together enables students to form deeper connections with patients and develop empathy and creativity. Overall, the focus group analysis highlighted that integrating the history of medicine into medical education is necessary as it gives students insights into past procedures and achievements, raises their awareness about the importance of medical and social ethics, provides lessons in medical education, empathy, charity work, community involvement, ethical standards, and laboratory research

Evaluation of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism dynamics in chronic HCV diabetic patients treated with direct antiviral agents

    Get PDF
Although Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection has become a curable disease, the aftermath of the infection remains an important aspect to be evaluated. HCV infection is well known for its extrahepatic manifestations, mostly the tight relationship between HCV, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and dyslipidemia. Not only HCV increases the risk of T2DM, but it also affects its control in diabetic patients, increasing the risk of diabetes related complications. Furthermore, HCV hijacks the lipid metabolism resulting in abnormalities in circulating lipids which can lead to multiple complications, such as increased atherosclerotic risk and hepatic steatosis. Objectives. The aim of this study was to evaluate the dynamics of the parameters of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in HCV-infected diabetic patients compared to non-diabetic patients after viral eradication. Material and methods. This is a prospective study conducted on 100 patients with chronic HVC infection who obtained viral clearance after interferon-free treatment. 58 patients had type 2 diabetes mellitus and 42 were nondiabetic. We evaluated serum total cholesterol, triglycerides, blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin in both groups at treatment initiation and 1 year after. Continuous variables were expressed as mean values ± standard deviation or median, categorical variables were represented as relative or absolute frequencies. Characteristics were compared using the Mann-Whitney method or the two-sample Student's T-test method for continuous variables, Chi-square and Fischer's test for categorical variables. A p value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Outcomes. The study analyzed and compared lipid and glycemic profiles of diabetic and non-diabetic HVC patients before and after viral cure. Conclusions. 1 year after treatment initiation the changes in lipid metabolism seem to persist, carbohydrate metabolism seems to remain unchanged, with no differences between diabetic and non-diabetic patients
