Video-assisted thoracoscopy - the opportunity in the management of the complicated thoracic trauma
Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of MoldovaIntroduction. Colonic cancer is a public health problem with a significant negative impact on
morbidity and mortality. Currently, colorectal cancer is placed on the third place after lung and
breast cancer. Although in the case of occlusive neoplasm located on the right colon resection
with primary anastomosis is considered as a way of completing the surgical intervention, except
for extremely severe patients, this claim cannot be applied to all patients with neoplasms located
on the left colon
CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING AN INTEGRATED UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Today we witness an increase in the role of universities in civil society. The international trends show the universities’ openness towards the alternative offered by new technologies. The article shows the actual perspectives in our country, presents the main characteristics and the structure of a computerized university management system, and also indicates the possibility of informatic integration for the system modules. The development of such a project must be controlled and validated by a standardized methodology for project management, which is shown in the article.Project Management, informatic system, management of an educational institution, portal application integration, methodology, Prince2
Information Systems in University Learning
The authors of this article are going to bring into light the significance, the place and the role of information systems in the university education process. At the same time they define the objectives and the target group of the subject named Economic Information Systems and state the competence gained by students by studying this subject. Special attention is given to the curriculum to be taught to students and to a suggestive enumeration of a series of economic applications that can be themes for laboratory practice and for students’ dissertation (graduation thesis).Information System, Academic Partnership, Curriculum, General Competence, Specific Competence, Open Systems
Polysaccharide Nanocapsules for Drug Delivery Applications, Current Status and Future Perspectives
In recent years pharmaceutical formulations using polymeric nanocapsules have been widely studied for developing novel drug delivery strategies. Nanocapsules provide a unique core-shell nanostructure, consisting of a liquid/solid core surrounded by a polymeric shell. Natural or modified polysaccharides are prime candidates for use as building blocks of the nanocapsule shells, due to their demonstrated safety, versatility and low cost and to the fact that they are widely used as excipients in classical drug formulations. The aim of this paper is to present the recent advances in drug delivery strategies using polysaccharidic nanocapsules and to discuss future opportunities and challenges in developing modern pharmaceutical formulations using such systems

Molecular identification of trichostrongylus axei on European brown hare (Lepus Europaeus) in Western Romania - case report
Trichostrongylosis is a cosmopolitan parasitic disease affecting domestic and wild ruminants, equines, and last but not least, leporids. Three species of strongyles commonly parasitize the digestive tracts of leporids, the most prevalent being Trichostrongylus retortaeformis. This paper describes the first case of Trichostrongylus axei infestation in a wild hare in western Romania. A female wild hare carcass found in Timis County was examined at the Parasiology Department of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Timisoara. A clinical, post-mortem and PCR examination was performed to establish a diagnosis, with molecular analysis confirming the presence of the nematode Trichostrongylus axei in European brown hare
Sunflower genotypes with high tolerance to drought and extreme temperatures, having good resistance to some specific diseases
Sunflower is considered to be moderately resistant to drought, but in hot conditions, the plants suffer reduction in
fertility, yield performance and quality of products. In literature there are mentioned some adoptive mechanisms of
plants to drought: escape, avoidance and tolerance, as well as their genetic variability. For sunflower it is very important
to increase the cold resistance in early development stages, at stage of germination, emergence and the stage of 2-3
leaves, in order to facilitate an early sowing. Wild Helianthus species are a very valuable source of resistance in
increasing drought resistance as well as resistance to low temperatures in sunflower. Some of our best elite lines have
been introduced in a process of improvement of resistance to drought, using recurrent selection. Also it has been
transfered some genes for controling the attack of some important pathogenes. In this process of selection, we obtained
inbred lines (CMS and pollen fertility restorer lines) having very good tolerance to drought as well as resistance to low
temperatures
Network analytics for drug repurposing in COVID-19
To better understand the potential of drug repurposing in COVID-19, we analyzed control strategies over essential host factors for SARS-CoV-2 infection. We constructed comprehensive directed protein–protein interaction (PPI) networks integrating the top-ranked host factors, the drug target proteins and directed PPI data. We analyzed the networks to identify drug targets and combinations thereof that offer efficient control over the host factors. We validated our findings against clinical studies data and bioinformatics studies. Our method offers a new insight into the molecular details of the disease and into potentially new therapy targets for it. Our approach for drug repurposing is significant beyond COVID-19 and may be applied also to other diseases.</p
