Therefore, there should be an effort to prevent and to fight against the drug abuse and illicit trafficking in Penitentiary. But, in handling narcotic in Penitentiary there is conflict of authority between National Narcotic Agency (BNN) which is in charge to carry out the drug abuse and narcotic circulation and the authority in the Penitentiary . BNN which is incharge to make and to implement the policies of  preventing, fighting against the drug abuse and narcotic circulation works based on : the Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning on the Narcotic, although prior to that, there are such laws as Instructions of President No. 6 of 1971, Presidential Decree No. 116 of 1999 about National Drug Coordination Body, Presidential Decree No. 17 of 2002 on the National Narcotic Agency (BNN), Presidential Regulation No. 83 of 2007 on the National Narcotic Agency (BNN),  Provincial Narcotic Agency and District Narcotic Agency, and Presidential Regulation No. 23 of 2010 on National Narcotic Agency (BNN). Then,  the implementation of the functional relation between National Narcotic Agency and Penitentiary in handling narcotic in penitentiary has not been going well due to the  duty-related conflict of authority and that should be  synchronized by applying the principle of Lex Specialist Derogat Legi Generalist. Thus, it is necessary to make a good functional pattern of relation between National Narcotic Agency and Penitentiary in handling the narcotic in Penitentiary in the future. The pattern should be a coordinated relation that is preventive and repressive based on the MoU between National Narcotic Agency and Penitentiary. Keywords : Functional Relation, National Narcotic Agency (BNN) and Penitentiary (Lapas

Fabricate And Investigate The Performance Of Alumina Based Ceramic Cutting Tool With Different Edge

    Get PDF
The research in this project focused on the comparison performance between two cutting tools with different edge. Both cutting tools will be fabricated based on the alumina powder processing with round and sharp edges. For each cutting tool, a special mould will be utilized according to the required shape. Specific weight of alumina powder will be processed with ball mill and poured into the designated mould to produce the green body of alumina inserts. These green bodies will be sintered at proposed 1400oC with 9 hours soaking time to produce refractory solid ceramic inserts. The mechanical properties of both insert will be examined according to the density, hardness and dimensions. The cutting tools will be further tested in tool wear evaluation by machining with AISI 1045 with variation of cutting speeds and feed rates around 200-250 m/min and 0.1-0.125 mm/rev respectively, while depth of cut will be kept constant at 0.5 mm. The wear at the edge of both inserts will be monitored with optical microscope and further scrutinized using Scanning Electron Microscope for failure modes analysis. On the same time, the surface roughness will be assessing using surface roughness tester and optical microscope to differentiate the surface characteristics machined by the cutting tools fabricated. The results from this study should be useful to develop alumina based cutting tool for low cost and small scale machining operations

The objective of this paper is to examine the impact of the packaging elements on the consumer buying behavior. This research also identified the relationship between the dependent and independent variables. This survey research consists on the primary data which are collected through the distribution of the questionnaire and SPSS software has been used for the purpose of the analysis. This study consists on the response of the 100 respondents and tasted the reliability of the model. The aim of this research conducting is to find out that how much the independent variables influence the dependent variable According to the finding and analysis of this survey research it has been observed that packagings are most important instrument. It is further concluded that the packaging elements like its Color, Packaging material and design of Wrapper are more important factors when consumers making any buying decision Keywords: Product color, wrapper design, product size, consumer buying behavio

RNA interference-based resistance against a legume mastrevirus

<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>RNA interference (RNAi) is a homology-dependant gene silencing mechanism and has been widely used to engineer resistance in plants against RNA viruses. However, its usefulness in delivering resistance against plant DNA viruses belonging to family <it>Geminiviridae </it>is still being debated. Although the RNAi approach has been shown, using a transient assay, to be useful in countering monocotyledonous plant-infecting geminiviruses of the genus <it>Mastrevirus</it>, it has yet to be investigated as a means of delivering resistance to dicot-infecting mastreviruses. <it>Chickpea chlorotic dwarf Pakistan virus </it>(CpCDPKV) is a legume-infecting mastrevirus that affects chickpea and other leguminous crops in Pakistan.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>Here a hairpin (hp)RNAi construct containing sequences encompassing part of replication-associated protein gene, intergenic region and part of the movement protein gene of CpCDPKV under the control of the <it>Cauliflower mosaic virus </it>35S promoter has been produced and stably transformed into <it>Nicotiana benthamiana</it>. Plants harboring the hairpin construct were challenged with CpCDPKV. All non-transgenic <it>N. benthamiana </it>plants developed symptoms of CpCDPKV infection within two weeks post-inoculation. In contrast, none of the inoculated transgenic plants showed symptoms of infection and no viral DNA could be detected by Southern hybridization. A real-time quantitative PCR analysis identified very low-level accumulation of viral DNA in the inoculated transgenic plants.</p> <p>Conclusions</p> <p>The results presented show that the RNAi-based resistance strategy is useful in protecting plants from a dicot-infecting mastrevirus. The very low levels of virus detected in plant tissue of transgenic plants distal to the inoculation site suggest that virus movement and/or viral replication was impaired leading to plants that showed no discernible signs of virus infection.</p

Capital Structure Theories and Speed of Capital Adjustment towards Target Capital Structure along Life Cycle Stages of Asian Manufacturing Firms

Purpose: Firms have different costs and benefits and asymmetric information across their life cycle stages and hence each stage has different financial pattern and speed of adjustment towards target capital. Methodology: We use System GMM to test the hypotheses. We use market leverages proxies for the capital structure, life cycle proxies: introduction, growth, mature, shakeout and decline and the control determinants of capital structure such as profitability, tangibility, firm size and growth opportunities. We estimate the financial pattern and speed of adjustment along life cycle stages of manufacturing firms from eleven Asian economies over the period of 2010-2018. Findings: The results show that firms in earlier stages have more long term debt than mature stage. The speed of adjustment towards target capital structure is highest in mature stage than the other stages. The control determinants significantly affect market leverages. Implications: The findings suggest that management has to consider life cycle stages of their firms in order to adjust capital structure. Stockholders should consider stage of firm with relation to profitability and capital structure for long term prospects

Chatbot Design Challenges and the Effect on User Behavior

    Get PDF
Chatbots are efficient artificial intelligence tools employed frequently across various industries such as healthcare, tourism, entertainment, and education, to assist in performing repetitive activities requiring a conversation, thereby facilitating humans to focus on more innovative tasks. This chapter reviews the design challenges of two types of chatbots classified based on their interaction modes: dyadic chatbots interacting with one individual at a time; and polyadic chatbots interacting with multiple individuals simultaneously. Further, the chapter identified the associated challenges in the chatbots, namely: engagement, trust, and human likeliness based on personality types - at a higher level in the chatbot design, together with the impact of each challenge on the user behavior. The authors review the literature in the relevant areas to pinpoint the research gaps requiring more focus within each area of challenge. The research community can address these identified research areas, which will eventually promote a more efficient human-machine collaboration
