The article presents the experience of Kursk State University and the department of education pedagogy of the International Children Center “Artek” for the implementation of a network project aimed at programs of continuing professional education of employees of Artek, including pedagogical workers. The authors present the result of providing a network project to implement additional professional programs for a new generation. The research aims at identifying new opportunities for everyone while implementing a network project for training pedagogical workers at Artek. The paper presents the experience of implementing continuing professional education programs at Artek when implementing a network project covering various training areas. All implemented programs are characterized by newness and modern approaches in educational practice. The research is based on the system-activity and personality-oriented approaches, the theory and methodology of vocational education. As a result of the study, the quality of the training program improved, and highly qualified specialists worked on implementing this project. Moreover, the massive coverage of students allowed them to improve their qualification level of education

© 2016 Ilina and Kostyunina. The relevance of the topic research is determined by the fact that current tendency of intercultural integration, one sign of which is the continuity of personal qualities’ development, stimulate the search for new approaches to form communicative culture in the process of learning. The purpose of the study is to identify and substantiate pedagogical conditions of realization of continuity of formation of communicative culture in the process of teaching a foreign language in the system "school – College – University". The purpose of the research is to reveal and prove pedagogical conditions of the implementation of continuity of creating communicative culture in teaching process of foreign languages (school-technical school-university) A leading approach to the study of this problem is the experiment, that allows to evaluate problem in details and to obtain objective results. As the result of the research it was possible to identify pedagogical conditions contributing effective communicative culture’s formation by means of a foreign language in the system "school – College – University", that is the use of complex means of ensuring implementation of continuity principles; the continuity use of model’s formation of communicative culture, which includes target, substantial and procedural components of language training; the construction process of foreign language teaching based on the integration of leading technologies of foreign language study: communication technology, the technology of "Dialogue of cultures" and the educational technology in cooperation, providing an communicative culture’s formation in the system of school-technical school-university. Theoretical and practical value of investigation is undoubted. The results can be used by foreign language teachers at schools, technical schools, universities to improve the level of learner’s communicative culture

Approaches to consent in public health research in secondary schools

OBJECTIVES: We assess different approaches to seeking consent in research in secondary schools. DESIGN: We review evidence on seeking active versus passive parent/carer consent on participant response rates and profiles. We explore the legal and regulatory requirements governing student and parent/carer consent in the UK. RESULTS: Evidence demonstrates that requiring parent/carer active consent reduces response rates and introduces selection biases, which impact the rigour of research and hence its usefulness for assessing young people's needs. There is no evidence on the impacts of seeking active versus passive student consent but this is likely to be marginal when researchers are directly in communication with students in schools. There is no legal requirement to seek active parent/carer consent for children's involvement in research on non-medicinal intervention or observational studies. Such research is instead covered by common law, which indicates that it is acceptable to seek students' own active consent when they are judged competent. General data protection regulation legislation does not change this. It is generally accepted that most secondary school students age 11+ are competent to provide their own consent for interventions though this should be assessed individually. CONCLUSION: Allowing parent/carer opt-out rights recognises their autonomy while giving primacy to student autonomy. In the case of intervention research, most interventions are delivered at the level of the school so consent can only practically be sought from head teachers. Where interventions are individually targeted, seeking student active consent for these should be considered where feasible

The stability of the electric power system can be improved by forming of the correct settings of automatic exciting regulators. Currently, there is no unified methodology of automatic exciting regulators, so analysis of their impact is still an urgent task. The article describes the approach to solving above-mentioned problem, which combines several methods. Research based on Hybrid Real Time Simulator of EPS developed in Tomsk Polytechnic University

Interpretation of photocurrent transients at semiconductor electrodes:Effects of band-edge unpinning

    Get PDF
The transient photocurrent response of semiconductor electrodes to chopped illumination often shows spikes and overshoots that are usually interpreted as evidence that surface recombination is occurring. In the case of the high intensities used for light-driven water splitting, the interpretation is less straightforward since the electron transfer reactions are so slow that the minority carrier concentration at or near the surface increases to high values that modify the potential drop across the Helmholtz layer in the electrolyte, leading to ‘band edge unpinning’. In addition, changes in chemical composition of the surface or local changes in pH may also alter the potential distribution across the semiconductor/electrolyte junction. A quantitative theory of band edge unpinning due to minority carrier build up is presented, and numerical calculations of transient photocurrent responses are compared with experimental examples for n-type Fe2O3 and p-type lithium-doped CuO electrodes. It is shown that the apparently high reaction orders (up to third order) with respect to hole concentration reported for hematite photoanodes can be explained as arising from an acceleration of hole transfer by the increased voltage drop across the Helmholtz layer associated with band edge unpinning. The limitations of the band edge unpinning model are discussed considering additional effects associated with modification of the potential distribution brought about by light-induced changes in surface composition, surface dipoles and surface ionic charge.</p

The article performs a strategic analysis of the functioning of an industrial enterprise, presents the results of the PEST – analysis of the industrial sector, considers measures to improve the financial stability of the enterprise of “KAMPO identifies and characterises the factors affecting the activity of the studied enterprise (SWOT – analysis), analyses its stability in the current market as a whole. Special attention has been paid to the key goals of this enterprise in various fields, as well as possible ways to improve the efficiency of “KAMPO”. In the final part of the article, it is concluded that there is a constant need to study enterprises in modern market conditions, their products, because the active participation of commodity producers in trade makes it possible to use available resources more effectively, join international achievements of science and technology, and allows identifying the existing strategic directions of their activities

Dupilumab: basic aspects and applications to T2-mediated diseases

    Get PDF
The asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP), atopic dermatitis (AD), eosinophilic esophagitis and other diseases based on T2-inflammation are a widespread in the world. It has led to the development of genetically engineered drugs aimed at individual and specific components of inflammation. One of the leading positions in the pathogenesis of T2-mediated diseases is occupied by interleukin (IL)-4 and IL-13, which explains the prospects of studying these cytokines for the creation of anti-IL-4/IL-13 monoclonal antibodies. The first immunobiological drug was registered to directe against the α subunit of the IL-4 receptor (IL-4Ra), common to both IL-4 and IL-4/IL-13 receptor complexes is dupilumab which is a fully human monoclonal antibody. Dupilumab targets the IL-4 receptor alpha chain (IL-4Rα), common to both IL-4R complexes: type 1 (IL-4Rα/γc; IL-4 specific) and type 2 (IL-4Rα/IL-13Rα1; IL-4 and IL-13 specific). Because the IL-4/IL-13/STAT6 signaling pathway plays a significant role in T2 inflammation. IL-4 and IL-13 are secreted by several cells and, along with other T2 cytokines, as well as with the participation of IL-33, IL-25 and TSLP can stimulate cells to further secrete pro-inflammatory cytokines, contributing to the maintenance of the inflammatory process. Currently, dupilumab has been studied in at least 3,000 patients with asthma, AD, CRSwNP and eosinophilic esophagitis. The results of investigation show an acceptable safety profile in placebo-controlled studies worldwide. In this article, we have highlighted the results of numerous clinical studies and observations that have proven the effectiveness and safety of the use of dupilumab in asthma, AD, CRSwNP, prurigo, eosinophilic esophagitis and eosinophilic pneumonia
