On the EDM Cancellations in D-brane models
We analyze the possibility of simultaneous electron, neutron, and mercury
electric dipole moment (EDM) cancellations in the mSUGRA and D--brane models.
We find that the mercury EDM constraint practically rules out the cancellation
scenario in D-brane models whereas in the context of mSUGRA it is still allowed

Health Effects of Radiation Exposure to Human Sensitive Organs Across Some Selected
The interaction of ionizing radiation with human body, either from external sources (i.e. outside the body) or from internal contamination of the body by radioactive substances, leads to biological effects which may later show up as clinical symptoms. The nature and severity of these symptoms and the time at which they appear depend on the amount of radiation absorbed and the rate at which it is received. This study aimed at assessing the Health Effects of Radiation Exposure to Human Sensitive Organs across Some Selected Mining Sites of Plateau State Nigeria. Finding of this study have revealed that the mean Dorgan values for the lungs, ovaries, bone marrow, testes, kidney, liver and whole body for different mining points of Plateau State are 0.29, 0.26, 0.31, 0.36, 0.28, 0.21 and 0.30 mSv/y respectively. From the findings presented, it can be concluded that the background radiation in Plateau State is not an issue of health concern in regards to sensitive organs and may not course immediate health effect except when accumulated over long period of time which may cause cancer to the indoor members on approximately seventy years of exposure
Phases in the gaugino sector: direct reconstruction of the basic parameters and impact on the neutralino pair production
We consider recovering analytically the (generally complex) parameters ,
and of the gaugino and Higgsino Lagrangian, from appropriate
physical input in the chargino and neutralino sectors. For given ,
we obtain very simple analytic solutions for , , in the
chargino sector and a twofold , analytic solution in the
neutralino sector, assuming two chargino, two neutralino masses, and one of the
chargino mixing angles as physical input. The twofold ambiguity in the
neutralino parameters reconstruction may be essentially resolved by measuring
the production cross-section at future linear
collider energies, which we study explicitly with the phase dependences. Some
salient features and specific properties of this complex case gaugino "spectrum
inversion" are illustrated and compared with the similar inversion in the real
case. In particular, our algorithms exhibit in a direct and transparent way the
non-trivial theoretical correlation among the chargino and neutralino
parameters, and the resulting allowed domains when only a subset of the

Dynamical relaxation of the CP phases in next-to-minimal supersymmetry
After promoting the phases of the soft masses to dynamical fields
corresponding to Goldstone bosons of spontaneously broken global symmetries in
the supersymmetry breaking sector, the next-to-minimal supersymmetric model is
found to solve the problem and the strong CP problem simultaneously with
an invisible axion. The domain wall problem persists in the form of axionic
domain formation. Relaxation dynamics of the physical CP-violating phases is
determined only by the short-distance physics and their relaxation values are
not necessarily close to the CP-conserving points. Having observable
supersymmetric CP violation and avoiding the axionic domain walls both require

Targeted Genomic Profiling and Chemotherapy Outcomes in Grade 3 Gastro-Entero-Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors (G3 GEP-NET)
Background: Grade 3 gastro-entero-pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (G3 GEP-NET) are poorly characterized in terms of molecular features and response to treatments. Methods: Patients with G3 GEP-NET were included if they received capecitabine and temozolomide (CAPTEM) or oxaliplatin with either 5-fluorouracile (FOLFOX) or capecitabine (XELOX) as first-line treatment (chemotherapy cohort). G3 NET which successfully undergone next-generation sequencing (NGS) were included in the NGS cohort. Results: In total, 49 patients were included in the chemotherapy cohort: 15 received CAPTEM and 34 received FOLFOX/XELOX. Objective response rate (ORR), progression-free survival (PFS), and overall survival (OS) were 42.9%, 9.0 months, and 33.6 months, respectively. Calculating a Ki67 cutoff using ROC curve analysis, tumors with Ki67 ≥ 40% had lower ORR (51.2% vs. 0%; p = 0.007) and shorter PFS (10.6 months vs. 4.4 months; p < 0.001) and OS (49.4 months vs. 10.0 months; p = 0.023). In patients who received FOLFOX/XELOX as a first-line treatment, ORR, PFS, and OS were 38.2%, 7.9 months, and 30.0 months, respectively. In the NGS cohort (N = 13), the most mutated genes were DAXX/ATRX (N = 5, 38%), MEN1 (N = 4, 31%), TP53 (N = 4, 31%), AKT1 (N = 2, 15%), and PIK3CA (N = 1, 8%). Conclusions: FOLFOX/XELOX chemotherapy is active as the first-line treatment of patients with G3 GEP-NET. The mutational landscape of G3 NET is more similar to well-differentiated NETs than NECs

Using the tetrad formalism, we carry out the separation of variables for the
massive complex Dirac equation in the gravitational and electromagnetic field
of a four-parameter (mass, angular momentum, electric and magnetic charges)

lepton-flavor-violating couplings and define various P- and T-odd asymmetries.
We calculate branching ratios and asymmetries in supersymmetric SU(5) and
SO(10) models taking into account complex soft supersymmetry breaking terms.
Imposing constraints from experimental bounds on the electron, neutron and
atomic electric dipole moments, we find that the T-odd asymmetry for can be 15% in the SU(5) case. P-odd asymmetry with respect
to muon polarization for varies from -20% to -100%

Assessment of Maximum Bite Force in Oral Submucous Fibrosis Patients: A Preliminary Study
Objective: To determine the maximum bite force (MBF) in oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF) patients and to compare them with that of healthy subjects. Material and Methods: Twenty patients who were clinically confirmed, as OSMF and 20 healthy controls matched for age, gender, and number of intact functional teeth were included in this study. For each subject, age, gender, weight, height and body mass index (BMI) were recorded. The MBF registration was carried out by the two evaluators, who were previously calibrated. Bite force was measured in the first molar region using a force transducer occlusal force meter for each subject seated at the upright position, with Frankfort's plane nearly parallel to the floor, and no head support. The Student’s independent t-test was used to determine the statistical significance in relation to mean height, weight, BMI and the presence of number of intact teeth and MBF between the healthy subjects and OSMF individuals. A comparison of grades of OSMF with all variables was carried out by one-way ANOVA test. Results: No significant difference was found in mean age, mean height, weight, BMI and the presence of the number of intact teeth between healthy individuals and OSMF patients. The mean MBF in healthy subjects was 628.23 ± 24.39 N and 635.47 ± 31.22 N in OSMF patients. Even though the healthy subjects reported a higher MBF than OSMF patients did, the difference was statistically non-significant. With regards to sides, no significant difference was observed in mean MBF in healthy subjects and OSMF patients on the right (p=0.7818) and left side (p=0.6154). Conclusion: The healthy subjects reported higher MBF values than OSMF patients did and the difference was statistically non-significant
MSSM Higgs sector CP violation at photon colliders: Revisited
We present a comprehensive analysis on the MSSM Higgs sector CP violation at
photon colliders including the chargino contributions as well as the
contributions of other charged particles. The chargino loop contributions can
be important for the would-be CP odd Higgs production at photon colliders.
Polarization asymmetries are indispensable in determining the CP properties of

Influence of the photon - neutrino processes on magnetar cooling
