Banking credit market in Romania: Basel II impact

    Get PDF
The Basel II implementation supposes a series of important challenges both for the credit institutions – the adjusting of the risk management and of the data processing system, the training of the personnel, the obtaining of the data bases etc. – and also for the National Bank of Romania – the adaptation of the supervision process, the elaboration of the new regulation frame, the training of the personnel etc. In this context, the expected changes will no doubt generate, deep mutations in the architecture of the Romanian banking market. In fact, we propose ourselves to evaluate over the next pages the effects induced by them in the domain of the banking risks management.Basel II, risk management, credit risk, operational risk, profitability

Management models of the systemic risk in the bank activity

The role of the bank system as essential link the saving-investment process makes of its stability a priority on the agenda of the public authorities. One of the major objectives of a central bank is to prevent the systemic risk by promoting an efficient bank monitoring, which should contribute to the achievement of the stability and viability of the entire financial system. Thus, the central banks developed methods and processes for the continual supervising and evaluation of the banks – premises of the prevention of the apparition of a great variety of bank crisis or other unpleasant surprises regarding the entities of the bank system.model, systemic risk, warning in time system

Zenker’s diverticulum and squamous esophageal cancer: a case report

    Get PDF
Zenker’s diverticulum represents a rare esophageal lesion developed especially in the elderly population due to herniation of esophageal mucosa above the cricopharyngeus muscle. The condition leads to food retention, regurgitation, aspiration, and dysphagia in affected patients. Progressive dysphagia also characterizes malignant diseases of the esophagus like squamous esophageal carcinoma that typically appears in male patients in the seventh decade of life, with a history of cigarette smoking and alcohol abuse. We report a case of a male patient who presented with dysphagia for both solids and liquids along with significant weight loss, and who was diagnosed with medium esophageal cancer associated with Zenker’s diverticulum

STUDY REGARDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF ORGANIC FARMING SYSTEMS IN ROMANIA AS THE BASIS FOR OBTAINING OF INNOCUITY AGRICULTURAL RAW MATERIALS – USED IN FUNCTIONAL FOOD

The work paper shows the variation of structures of Organic Agriculture systems in Romania in the last 5 years and the influence of this variation on developing a niche in the bio-economy system Romanian.Process of non-toxically agricultural raw material is a main condition for the development of functional foods so necessary for healthy consumers. The work paper presents the influence of national and international legislation in the development and certification of organic agriculture sector. The change of a new order of the minister of agriculture in 2016 generate the way for new requirements imposed to the Control Body for Organic Agriculture in Romania and the main requirements are presented in summary in this paper

The influence of pieces thickness on metallographic structure of welded joints

    Get PDF
The main objective of this paper was to establish how the thickness of welded pieces influences the metallographic structure of welded joints. Thus were made a total of 6 samples, and from each sample were taken test specimens for metallographic analysis of the base material, the filler material respective heat affected zone (HAZ). The samples were carried out by welding process: metal active gases (MAG) using a steel E 36-4, and the welded pieces had a thickness between 10 and 24 mm. The welding regime was characterized by parameters Iw = 200 / A, Uw = 24 / V. The joint by welding pieces was “T” form and both piece used as the base and the piece used as heart for welded joint were made of sheets with different thicknesses

HYDRAULIC AND LEACHING BEHAVIOUR OF BELITE CEMENTS PRODUCED WITH ELECTRIC ARC FURNACE STEEL SLAG AS RAW MATERIAL

    Get PDF
Three belite-rich cements consisting of a clinker made with 0 (BC), 5 (BC5) and 10 wt. % (BC10) electric arc furnace steel slag (EAFS) as raw material, were studied for their hydraulic and leaching behaviour. Hydration behaviour was studied by FTIR, TG/DTG and SEM analyses. The cements with EAFS resulted in a higher C2S/C3S and C4AF/C3A ratio compared to the reference body. As a result, the rate of hydration was low at early days whereas the structure was porous with scattered AFm and C–S–H crystals. At 28 days, a comparable dense microstructure consisting largely of C–S–H is observed in all mortars. Leaching was studied for V and Cr by means of tank test according to standard NEN 7345. The results showed V release below 2 μg/l. Chromium release calculated per 24 h was 1.4 μg/l in BC5 and 2.4 μg/l in BC10, which is much lower than the parametric value of 50 μg/l specified by the European Directive for drinking water (98/83/EC)
