AKSZ-BV Formalism and Courant Algebroid-induced Topological Field Theories
We give a detailed exposition of the Alexandrov-Kontsevich-Schwarz-
Zaboronsky superfield formalism using the language of graded manifolds. As a
main illustarting example, to every Courant algebroid structure we associate
canonically a three-dimensional topological sigma-model. Using the AKSZ
formalism, we construct the Batalin-Vilkovisky master action for the model.Comment: 13 pages, based on lectures at Rencontres mathematiques de Glanon

Effect of in-plane line defects on field-tuned superconductor-insulator transition behavior in homogeneous thin film
Field-tuned superconductor-insulator transition (FSIT) behavior in 2D
isotropic and homogeneous thin films is usually accompanied by a nonvanishing
critical resistance at low . It is shown that, in a 2D film including line
defects paralle to each other but with random positions perpendicular to them,
the (apparent) critical resistance in low limit vanishes, as in the 1D
quantum superconducting (SC) transition, under a current parallel to the line
defects. This 1D-like critical resistive behavior is more clearly seen in
systems with weaker point disorder and may be useful in clarifying whether the
true origin of FSIT behavior in the parent superconductor is the glass
fluctuation or the quantum SC fluctuation. As a by-product of the present
calculation, it is also pointed out that, in 2D films with line-like defects
with a long but {\it finite} correlation length parallel to the lines, a
quantum metallic behavior intervening the insulating and SC ones appears in the
resistivity curves.Comment: 16 pages, 14 figure
An Alternative Topological Field Theory of Generalized Complex Geometry
We propose a new topological field theory on generalized complex geometry in
two dimension using AKSZ formulation. Zucchini's model is model in the case
that the generalized complex structuredepends on only a symplectic structure.
Our new model is model in the case that the generalized complex structure
depends on only a complex structure.Comment: 29 pages, typos and references correcte
Hydrodynamics and Nonlocal Conductivities in Vortex States of Type II Superconductors
A hydrodynamical description for vortex states in type II superconductors is
presented based on the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equation (TDGL). In
contrast to the familiar extension of a single vortex dynamics based on the
force balance, our description is consistent with the known hydrodynamics of a
rotating neutral superfluid and correctly includes informations on the
Goldstone mode. Further it enables one to examine nonlocal conductivities
perpendicular to the magnetic field in terms of Kubo formula. The nonlocal
conductivities deviate from the usual vortex flow expressions typically when
the nonlocality parallel to the field becomes weaker than the perpendicular one
measuring a degree of positional correlations, and, for instance, the
superconducting contribution of dc Hall conductivity nonlocal only in
directions perpendicular to the field becomes vanishingly small in the
situations with large shear viscosity, leading to an experimentally measurable
relation among the total resistivity components.
Other situations are also discussed on the basis of the resulting expressions.Comment: 12 pages, no figures, to appear in J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. in October,

Algebroid Yang-Mills Theories
A framework for constructing new kinds of gauge theories is suggested.
Essentially it consists in replacing Lie algebras by Lie or Courant algebroids.
Besides presenting novel topological theories defined in arbitrary spacetime
dimensions, we show that equipping Lie algebroids E with a fiber metric having
sufficiently many E-Killing vectors leads to an astonishingly mild deformation
of ordinary Yang-Mills theories: Additional fields turn out to carry no
propagating modes. Instead they serve as moduli parameters gluing together in
part different Yang-Mills theories. This leads to a symmetry enhancement at
critical points of these fields, as is also typical for String effective field
theories.Comment: 4 pages; v3: Minor rewording of v1, version to appear in Phys. Rev.

Metamagnetism and critical fluctuations in high quality single crystals of the bilayer ruthenate Sr3Ru2O7
We report the results of low temperature transport, specific heat and
magnetisation measurements on high quality single crystals of the bilayer
perovskite Sr3Ru2O7, which is a close relative of the unconventional
superconductor Sr2RuO4. Metamagnetism is observed, and transport and
thermodynamic evidence for associated critical fluctuations is presented. These
relatively unusual fluctuations might be pictured as variations in the Fermi
surface topography itself. No equivalent behaviour has been observed in the
metallic state of Sr2RuO4.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures, Revtex 3.
Antiferromagnetic Phases in the Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov State of CeCoIn_5
The antiferromagnetic (AFM) order in the Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov
(FFLO) superconducting state is analyzed on the basis of a Ginzburg-Landau
theory. To examine the possible AFM-FFLO state in CeCoIn_5, we focus on the
incommensurate AFM order characterized by the wave vector Q = Q_{0} \pm q_inc
with Q_0 =(\pi,\pi,\pi) and q_inc \parallel [110] or [1-10] in the tetragonal
crystal structure. We formulate the two component Ginzburg-Landau theory and
investigate the two degenerate incommensurate AFM order. We show that the
pinning of AFM moment due to the FFLO nodal planes leads to multiple phases in
magnetic fields along [100] or [010]. The phase diagrams for various coupling
constants between the two order parameters are shown for the comparison with
CeCoIn_5. Experimental results of the NMR and neutron scattering measurements
are discussed.Comment: 6pages, Proceedings of ICHE2010, To appear in J. Phys. Soc. Jpn.

Consistent interactions of dual linearized gravity in D=5: couplings with a topological BF model
Under some plausible assumptions, we find that the dual formulation of
linearized gravity in D=5 can be nontrivially coupled to the topological BF
model in such a way that the interacting theory exhibits a deformed gauge
algebra and some deformed, on-shell reducibility relations. Moreover, the
tensor field with the mixed symmetry (2,1) gains some shift gauge
transformations with parameters from the BF sector.Comment: 63 pages, accepted for publication in Eur. Phys. J.
Precise Pressure Dependence of the Superconducting Transition Temperature of FeSe: Resistivity and ^77Se--NMR Study
We report the precise pressure dependence of FeSe from a resistivity
measurement up to 4.15 GPa. Superconducting transition temperature (T_c)
increases sensitively under pressure, but shows a plateau between 0.5-1.5 GPa.
The maximum T_c, which is determined by zero resistance, is 21 K at
approximately 3.5 GPa. The onset value reaches ~37 K at 4.15 GPa. We also
measure the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate 1/T_1 under pressure using
77Se--NMR measurement. 1/T_1 shows that bulk superconductivity is realized in
the zero-resistance state. The pressure dependence of 1/T_1T just above T_c
shows a plateau as well as the pressure dependence of T_c, which gives clear
evidence of the close relationship between 1/T_1T and T_c. Spin fluctuations
are suggested to contribute to the mechanism of superconductivity.Comment: 4pages, 6figures: to be published in J. Phys. Soc. Jpn. Vol.78 No.6
