On the NLO Power Correction to Photon-Pion Transition Form Factor
We propose a perturbative evaluation for the next-to-leading-order (NLO)
power correction to the photon-pion transition form factor. The
effects of the NLO power correction are analyzed.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, Revtex, revised versio
Exclusive two -mesons production in collision
We give a theoretical description of the L3 Collaboration data on the
cross-section of the exclusive two -mesons production in collision with large photon virtuality. These data prove the scaling
behaviour of the leading twist generalized distribution amplitude of vector
mesons. They thus prove the relevance of a partonic description of the
exclusive process at and Comment: 6 pages, 1 eps figur
Universal physics of 2+1 particles with non-zero angular momentum
The zero-energy universal properties of scattering between a particle and a
dimer that involves an identical particle are investigated for arbitrary
scattering angular momenta. For this purpose, we derive an integral equation
that generalises the Skorniakov - Ter-Martirosian equation to the case of
non-zero angular momentum. As the mass ratio between the particles is varied,
we find various scattering resonances that can be attributed to the appearance
of universal trimers and Efimov trimers at the collisional threshold.Comment: 6 figure
Analysis of the vector form factors and with light-cone QCD sum rules
In this article, we calculate the vector form factors and
within the framework of the light-cone QCD sum rules
approach. The numerical values of the are compatible with the
existing theoretical calculations, the central value of the ,

perturbation theory and lattice QCD. The values of the are
very large comparing with the theoretical calculations and experimental data,
and can not give any reliable predictions. At large momentum transfers with

Twist-three analysis of photon electroproduction with pion
We study twist-three effects in spin, charge, and azimuthal asymmetries in
deeply virtual Compton scattering on a spin-zero target. Contributions which
are power suppressed in 1/Q generate a new azimuthal angle dependence of the
cross section which is not present in the leading twist results. On the other
hand the leading twist terms are not modified by the twist three contributions.
They may get corrected at twist four level. In the Wandzura-Wilczek
approximation these new terms in the Fourier expansion with respect to the
azimuthal angle are entirely determined by the twist-two skewed parton
distributions. We also discuss more general issues like the general form of the
angular dependence of the differential cross section, validity of factorization
at twist-three level, and a relation of skewed parton distributions to spectral
functions.Comment: 21 pages, LaTeX, 2 figures, text clarifications, an equation, a note

Deeply virtual electroproduction of photons and mesons on the nucleon : leading order amplitudes and power corrections
We estimate the leading order amplitudes for exclusive photon and meson
electroproduction reactions at large Q^2 in the valence region in terms of
skewed quark distributions. As experimental investigations can currently only
be envisaged at moderate values of Q^2, we estimate power corrections due to
the intrinsic transverse momentum of the partons in the meson wavefunction and
in the nucleon. To this aim the skewed parton distribution formalism is
generalized so as to include the parton intrinsic transverse momentum
dependence. Furthermore, for the meson electroproduction reactions, we
calculate the soft overlap type contributions and compare with the leading
order amplitudes. We give first estimates for these different power corrections
in kinematics which are relevant for experiments in the near future.Comment: 59 pages, 21 figure
Next-to-next-to-leading order prediction for the photon-to-pion transition form factor
We evaluate the next-to-next-to-leading order corrections to the
hard-scattering amplitude of the photon-to-pion transition form factor. Our
approach is based on the predictive power of the conformal operator product
expansion, which is valid for a vanishing -function in the so-called
conformal scheme. The Wilson--coefficients appearing in the non-forward
kinematics are then entirely determined from those of the polarized
deep-inelastic scattering known to next-to-next-to-leading accuracy. We propose
different schemes to include explicitly also the conformal symmetry breaking
term proportional to the -function, and discuss numerical predictions
calculated in different kinematical regions. It is demonstrated that the
photon-to-pion transition form factor can provide a fundamental testing ground
for our QCD understanding of exclusive reactions.Comment: 62 pages LaTeX, 2 figures, 9 tables; typos corrected, some references

Coherent QCD phenomena in the Coherent Pion-Nucleon and Pion-Nucleus Production of Two Jets at High Relative Momenta
We use QCD to compute the cross section for coherent production of a di-jet
(treated as a moving at high relative transverse momentum,). In the target rest frame, the space-time evolution of this reaction is
dominated by the process in which the high component of
the pion wave function is formed before reaching the target. It then interacts
through two gluon exchange. In the approximation of keeping the leading order
in powers of and all orders in
the amplitudes for other processes are
shown to be smaller at least by a power of . The resulting dominant
amplitude is proportional to ( is the fraction
light-cone(+)momentum carried by the quark in the final state) times the skewed
gluon distribution of the target. For the pion scattering by a nuclear target,
this means that at fixed (but ) the nuclear process in which there is only a single interaction is the
most important one to contribute to the reaction. Thus in this limit color
transparency phenomena should occur. These findings are in accord with E971
experiment at FNAL. We also re-examine a potentially important nuclear multiple
scattering correction which is positive and . The
meaning of the signal obtained from the experimental measurement of pion
diffraction into two jets is also critically examined and significant
corrections are identified. We show also that for values of achieved
at fixed target energies, di-jet production by the e.m. field of the nucleus
leads to an insignificant correction which gets more important as
increases.Comment: 23 pages, 9 figure
Generalized Parton Distributions from Hadronic Observables: Non-Zero Skewness
We propose a physically motivated parametrization for the unpolarized
generalized parton distributions, H and E, valid at both zero and non-zero
values of the skewness variable, \zeta. Our approach follows a previous
detailed study of the \zeta=0 case where H and E were determined using
constraints from simultaneous fits of the experimental data on both the nucleon
elastic form factors and the deep inelastic structure functions in the non
singlet sector. Additional constraints at \zeta \neq 0 are provided by lattice
calculations of the higher moments of generalized parton distributions. We
illustrate a method for extracting generalized parton distributions from
lattice moments based on a reconstruction using sets of orthogonal polynomials.
The inclusion in our fit of data on Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering is also
discussed. Our method provides a step towards a model independent extraction of
generalized distributions from the data. It also provides an alternative to
double distributions based phenomenological models in that we are able to
satisfy the polynomiality condition by construction, using a combination of
experimental data and lattice, without resorting to any specific mathematical
construct.Comment: 29 pages, 8 figures; added references, changed text in several place
Sum rules and dualities for generalized parton distributions: is there a holographic principle?
To leading order approximation, the physical content of generalized parton
distributions (GPDs) that is accessible in deep virtual electroproduction of
photons or mesons is contained in their value on the cross-over trajectory.
This trajectory separates the t-channel and s-channel dominated GPD regions.
The underlying Lorentz covariance implies correspondence between these two
regions through their relation to GPDs on the cross-over trajectory. This point
of view leads to a family of GPD sum rules which are a quark analogue of finite
energy sum rules and it guides us to a new phenomenological GPD concept. As an
example, we discuss the constraints from the JLab/Hall A data on the dominant
u-quark GPD H. The question arises whether GPDs are governed by some kind of
holographic principle.Comment: 45 pages, 4 figures, Sect. 2 reorganized for clarity. Typos in Eq.
