ABSTRACT. The development of new ideas to the ultrasound diagnostics of embologenic venous thrombosis on base of the collection of anatomical and structural functional ultrasound criteria of embologenic venous thrombus is discussed. The investigations of 780 patients (800 lower limbs) were included in the current work. The presence of floating thrombi did not finish into PE (55,4% (302/545) cases). The analysis of frequency distribution of floating thrombi (n=545) in addition embologenic floating thrombi (n=302) in of inverior vein cava and comparative evaluation of unembologenic (n=243) and embologenic (n=302) floating thrombi from the form, the contour, structure of the thrombus and the counter, the mobility of the thrombus. The analysis of absolute and relative errors of the measuring of the length of the floating thrombus of iliac-femoral segment showed that the length of the floating thrombus is not reliable criterion of embologenic thrombus (n=177).Ultrasound criteria of the embologenic floating thrombus and thrombi with fragmented surface were found. The detection of embologenic floating thrombi decreases the value of implanted cava-filters and thrombectomies.

IN VITRO INDUCTION OF BLOOD MONONUCLEAR CELL PROLIFERATION BY ENDOGENOUS RETROVIRAL HERV-Eλ4-1 ENVELOPE PEPTIDE IN PATIENTS WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

A comparative in vitro study of blood mononuclear cells from multiple sclerosis patients and healthy donors was performed, in order to evaluate proliferative response to a retroviral antigen, aiming to determine immunomodulatory properties of synthetic oligopeptide homologous to a highly conserved human endogenous retrovirus HERV-Eλ4-1 envelope protein. It was revealed that this oligopeptide is able to stimulate the in vitro spontaneous and mitogen-induced proliferation of blood mononuclear cells from either donor and multiple sclerosis patients. Intensity of this oligopeptide-induced stimulatory effect depends on the protein concentration, and on initial level of blood immunocompetent cells proliferation. Hence, the endogenous retrovirus HERV-Eλ4-1 envelope region protein is able to increase functional activity of immunocompetent cells from human blood, that suggesting its immunostimulatory properties. It is possible that the mitogenic effects of this protein upon immunocompetent cells of multiple sclerosis patients represent a potential mechanism of retroviral involvement into pathogenesis of the disorder

Pair Correlations in a Bidisperse Ferrofluid in an External Magnetic Field:Theory and Computer Simulations

The pair distribution function g(r) for a ferrofluid modeled by a bidisperse system of dipolar hard spheres is calculated. The influence of an external uniform magnetic field and polydispersity on g(r) and the related structure factor is studied. The calculation is performed by diagrammatic expansion methods within the thermodynamic perturbation theory in terms of the particle number density and the interparticle dipole–dipole interaction strength. Analytical expressions are provided for the pair distribution function to within the first order in number density and the second order in dipole–dipole interaction strength. The constructed theory is compared with the results of computer (Monte Carlo) simulations to determine the range of its validity. The scattering structure factor is determined using the Fourier transform of the pair correlation func-tion g(r) – 1. The influence of the granulometric composition and magnetic field strength on the height and position of the first peak of the structure factor that is most amenable to an experimental study is analyzed. The data obtained can serve as a basis for interpreting the experimental small[1]angle neutron scattering results and determining the regularities in the behavior of the structure factor, its dependence on the fractional com-position of a ferrofluid, interparticle correlations, and external magnetic field. © Pleiades Publishing, Inc., 2014

We herewith present our experience of complex treatment with enalapril combined with б-tocopherol and endovascular laser blood radiation in 86 hypertensive patients with LVH. We have established complex therapy for a year to promote complete and earlier beginning LVH regression compared to monotherapy with enalapril

The first stage was reconstruction of the carotid artery, and then, the second stage was resection of the abdominal aorta aneurysm and aorto-femoral bifurcation replacement.
