The soft and the hard pomerons in hadron elastic scattering at small t
We consider simple-pole descriptions of soft elastic scattering for pp, pbar
p, pi+ p, pi- p, K+ p and K- p. We work at t and s small enough for
rescatterings to be neglected, and allow for the presence of a hard pomeron.
After building and discussing an exhaustive dataset, we show that simple poles
provide an excellent description of the data in the region - 0.5 GeV^2 < t <
-0.1 GeV^2, 6 GeV<sqrt(s)< 63 GeV. We show that new form factors have to be
used, and get information on the trajectories of the soft and hard pomerons.Comment: 27 pages, 9 figures, LaTeX. A few typos fixed, and references

Prospects for at CERN in NA62
The NA62 experiment will begin taking data in 2015. Its primary purpose is a
10% measurement of the branching ratio of the ultrarare kaon decay , using the decay in flight of kaons in an unseparated
beam with momentum 75 GeV/c.The detector and analysis technique are described
here.Comment: 8 pages for proceedings of 50 Years of CP
Externalities and the nucleolus
In most economic applications, externalities prevail: the worth of a coalition depends on how the other players are organized. We show that there is a unique natural way of extending the nucleolus from (coalitional) games without externalities to games with externalities. This is in contrast to the Shapley value and the core for which many different extensions have been proposed
Search for neutral heavy leptons produced in decays
Weak isosinglet Neutral Heavy Leptons (νm) have been searched for using data collected by the DELPHI detector corresponding to 3.3 × 106 hadronic Z0 decays at LEP1. Four separate searches have been performed, for short-lived νm production giving monojet or acollinear jet topologies, and for long-lived νm giving detectable secondary vertices or calorimeter clusters. No indication of the existence of these particles has been found, leading to an upper limit for the branching ratio BR(Z0 → νmν̄) of about 1.3 × 10-6 at 95% confidence level for νm masses between 3.5 and 50 GeV/c2. Outside this range the limit weakens rapidly with the νm mass. The results are also interpreted in terms of limits for the single production of excited neutrinos. © Springer-Verlag 1997
LFV and exotics at the NA62 experiment
The NA62 experiment at the CERN SPS is aimed at measuring the branching fraction of the ultrarare decay K+ → π+v with ∼10% precision by collecting ∼1013 kaon decays in two years of data taking. This amount of data will allow to carry out a wide program of searching for rare and forbidden (within the Standard Model) K+ and π0 decays, including sterile neutrinos, lepton flavor violating modes, exotic particles (e.g. "dark photons"). The expected performances of the NA62 setup will allow to improve existing limits for several decay modes
