Abstract. The modern economy is developing in the direction of innovations implementation. Innovations are becoming the basic prerequisite for the competitiveness of the enterprises. The Russian oil and gas sector innovation issue is very crucial. Low innovation activity of companies could result in a serious threat due to the strong global competition, increased uncertainty and risks. The need for innovative changes often meets reluctance. The reasons of it vary and require serious research. Managers should give special attention to the development of adjustment ability of the staff, to introduce modern methods for improving the adjustment potential of the enterprise staff

Study of the electrodes length influence on the trajectories of water droplets dispersed in oil and affected by non-uniform electric field

The paper presents the results of numerical modelling of the processes accompanying movement of drop viscous media (water) in oil under the influence of exterior forces of the electric and dynamic nature. Systematic calculations of influence on the electric field heterogeneity drops, created by a symmetric and asymmetrical configuration of electrodes are carried out both in inter electrode and behind electrode areas taking into account a complex operation of dielectrophoresis forces, buoyancies and drag, as well as the variability of electrode sizes. The analysis of drop movement trajectories shows that the asymmetrical configuration of electrodes can be applied for an electro-coalescence intensification of water-in-oil emulsion. Correctness of calculations of the mathematical model and numerical methods are confirmed by good results if compared with the available data of the other authors

Production operation of small petroleum enterprises in Tomsk region

Implementing resource-innovative strategy to develop Russian fuel-and-energy sector implies the promotion of small oil production enterprises developing fields with the reserves of less than 5 mln. tons. However, the efficiency of such enterprises, investigated on the example of Tomsk region (considering the indexes of oil extraction, growth of reserves, amount of capital expenditures and geological surveys), signifies the presence of definite tendencies. Consequently, management decisions concerning economic, organizational, financial and fiscal character should be taken in order to eliminate detrimental factors

Financial Aspects of Technological Concept for Energy Efficiency Enhancement during Stripper Wells Development in Tomsk Region

The issue of operating costs cutting in terms of falling oil prices on the world market actualizes the challenge to find technological solutions to reduce electricity consumption during well operation. This is especially important for stripped-wells of small deposits in Tomsk region. The correlation analysis between the cost of oil production, electricity, heat and fuel consumption during the extraction of one ton of oil allowed the authors to focus on the financial aspect of such technological solutions like periodic well operation in the Shinginskoye field as well as to recommend the application of this method at the other fields in Tomsk region

Prediction and measurement of the size-dependent stability of fluorescence in diamond over the entire nanoscale

Fluorescent defects in non-cytotoxic diamond nanoparticles are candidates for qubits in quantum computing, optical labels in biomedical imaging and sensors in magnetometry. For each application these defects need to be optically and thermodynamically stable, and included in individual particles at suitable concentrations (singly or in large numbers). In this letter, we combine simulations, theory and experiment to provide the first comprehensive and generic prediction of the size, temperature and nitrogen-concentration dependent stability of optically active NV defects in nanodiamonds.Comment: Published in Nano Letters August 2009 24 pages, 6 figure
