    Rumen Fermentation, Blood Metabolites, and Performance of Sheep Fed Tropical Browse Plants

    The in vitro study was designed to evaluate total gas production, dry matter degradability (DMD), and VFA profile; while in vivo study was designed to evaluate nutrient intakes, blood metabolites, and performance of sheep fed native grass mixed with Calliandra calothyrrus (CC), Leucaena leucochepala (LL), Moringa oleifera (MO), Gliricidea sepium (GS), and Artocarpus heterophyllus (AH). The best three from the in vitro results were used to formulate diets in in vivo study. Sixteen male growing sheep (average BW 20 kg) were fed 100% native grass (NG) as control; 70% NG + 30% GS; 70% NG + 30% MO; and 70% NG + 30% AH. Nutrient consumptions, DMD, blood metabolites, and sheep performances were analyzed by using Completely Randomized Design. The in vitro results showed that the total gas production and DMD of CC and LL were the lowest (P<0.05) while the highest was found in GS, MO, and AH treatments (P<0.05). Meanwhile, the in vivo results showed that nutrient intakes (DM, CP, and CF) of GS and AH rations were the highest. The ADG, concentration of albumin, and globulin in all treatments were similar, while total serum protein, triglycerides, and glucose concentration in MO and AH rations were higher than others. Serum cholesterol concentration in MO ration was the lowest, meanwhile the concentration of IgG was the highest (P<0.05). Supplementation of 30% MO was the best choice for optimum rumen fermentation and maintaining health status of local sheep

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan konduktivitas termal logam tembaga, kuningan, dan besi dengan metode gandengan. Konduktivitas termal bahan merupakan ukuran kemampuan suatu bahan untuk menghantarkan panas. Pada materi ini mahasiswa diharapkan lebih interaktif karena berhubungan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Jika pembelajaran yang disampaikan diiringi dengan eksperimen maka akan lebih memudahkan memahami materi konduktivitas termal. Metode gandengan ini merupakan salah satu metode yang baru yang dapat dilakukan dengan cara mendekatkan dua buah logam untuk dipanasi. Alat ini terdiri dari slide regulator merk TDG, amperemeter merk SP-20D, termokopel, penerjemah termokopel, dan jangka sorong. Bahan yang digunakan dalam peneitian ada tiga macam logam yaitu logam tembaga, kuningan, dan besi. Penentuan konduktivitas termal bahan ini dilakukan dengan logam yang telah dililiti elemen pemanas (nikelin) yang dipanaskan. Kemudian divariasi nilai tegangan listrik (V) antara 5 V-25 V. Diukur arus listrik (i) dan diukur perbedaan suhu (ΔT ) pada ujung-ujung logam. Selanjutnya dari data Vi terhadap ΔT ini dilakukan dengan regresi linier.     Analisis Kandungan Co2 dengan Sensor dan Berbasis Logger Pro di Daerah YOGYAKARTA

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kandungan CO2 di daerah Yogyakarta dengan menggunakan sensor CO2 dan logger pro. Kota Yogyakarta setiap tahunnya mengalami kepadatan penduduk yang menyebabkan pesatnya pemakaian kendaraan bermotor juga. Ini yang menyebabkan tingkat polusi udara di kota Yogyakarta juga semakin buruk akibat polusi kendaraan bermotor maupun industri. Kandungan CO2 yang seharusnya di atmosfer bumi sebesar 381 PPM. Dalam penelitian ini menganalisis kandungan CO2 di sepuluh tempat keramaian di Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan sensor gas CO2 Vernier dan di analisis menggunakan software logger pro. Ketika sensor CO2 bekerja selama 5 menit akan muncul pulsa kandungan CO2 pada logger pro, kemudian dicari rata-rata kandungan CO2. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diperoleh uji kandungan CO2 yang paling tinggi adalah di daerah 0 KM Yogyakarta sebesar 973,2 PPM. Hasil ini melebihi nilai batas ambang rata-rata yang seharusnya di atmosfir bumi yaitu 381 PPM. Oleh karena itu perlu ditanami pepohonan dan mengurangi emisi kendaraan bermotor agar tingkat kandungan CO2 di kota Yogyakarta semakin menurun

    The goal of this study is described the process and the result from the application of direct instructional model to improve the skills of singing folk songs in VIII grade students of Public Junior Highschool 2 Pontianak. This study use descriptive method with action research, qualitative research feature. This study passed two cycle process. The results obtained for indicators of direct instructional model to improve the skills of singing folk songs in VIII grade students of Public Junior Highschool 2 Pontianak in the first cycle, the average of student's score is 68.66, below the passing grade. In the second cycle, the value of the learning skills of the students in singing folk songs increased to an average value of 81.66, above the minimum completeness criteria. Based on the results of research and discussions that have been submitted, it can be concluded some of the following (1) The application of direct instructional model could improve the skills of singing folk songs in VIII grade students of Public Junior Highschool 2 Pontianak.     Uji Konfirmasi dan Penetapan Kadar Morfin dengan Klt-spektrofotodensitometri

    Screening and determination test of morphine using TLC-Spectrophotodensitometry method have been studied. Screening test based on the hRfc – value and the correlation value between detected spectrum and reference. The analysis results were improved by using the shift of spectrum reaction. The maximal result of screening test was obtained when determinate the hRfc-value with error window of three and the spectrum correlation above 0.90. The reaction of spectrum shift showed that morphine spectrum was not significantly changed after plates sprayed with HCL 10% and KOH 0.1 M so that could be used to increasing the analysis result of substance identity determination. Validation of method showed precision of method was 1.69%, the limit of detection 93.1 ng/spot and the limit of quantitation was 310,3 ng, percentage recovery of morphine from plasma was 106.34 ng ±10.79 (10.1%). TLC Spectrophotodensitometry could be used as simple and cheap method for screening and determination test of the morphine

    Performan Broiler yang Diberi Ransum Mengandung Tepung Kulit Buah Naga tanpa dan dengan Aspergillus Niger Terfermentasi

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian tepung kulit buah naga tanpa atau terfermentasidalam ransum terhadap performans ayam broiler. Rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 7 perlakuan dan 3ulangan digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian menggunakan ayam broiler jantan umur dua minggu sebanyak84 ekor. Perlakuan adalah ransum tanpa menggunakan tepung kulit buah naga (kontrol atau P0), ransum denganmenggunakan tepung kulit buah naga 2% (P1), ransum dengan menggunakan tepung kulit buah naga terfermentasi2% (P2), ransum dengan menggunakan tepung kulit buah naga 4% (P3), ransum dengan menggunakan tepungkulit buah naga terfermentasi 4% (P4), ransum dengan menggunakan tepung kulit buah naga 6% (P5), ransumdengan menggunakan tepung kulit buah naga terfermentasi 6% (P6). Peubah yang diamati konsumsi pakan,pertambahan bobot badan, konversi pakan, mortalitas dan persentase bagian-bagian karkas. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan ransum mendapat tepung kulit buah naga tanpa dan dengan terfermentasi berbeda tidak nyata(P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, konversi pakan dan mortalitas. Sama halnyadengan persentase bagian-bagian karkas ayam broiler yang meliputi persentase dada, persentase sayap, persentasepaha, dan persentase punggung menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05).     Tubercolusis is adisease, the majority of TB deaths occur in the world. Indonesia ranks fourth in the case of from 0.37 to 0.54 million cases per year. The cure rate or the successful treatment of pulmonary tubercolusis in Banyumas district in 2010 by 89.56% tended to decrease compared to the year 2009 of 91.5%. Many factors can affect the success rate of treatment tubercolusis including age, gender, the role of drug compliance vontroler , Information Education Communication and drug compliance.This research was finding out to factors Influence in Successful Treatment of Pulmonary Tubercolusis Patients in the Publics Health Center Sokaraja. This studty was conducted observational anhalitics with cross sectional approach. Technical sampling was retrospektive from the book of register treatment TB in DOTS unit Public Health Center Sokaraja. Univariate and bivariate were applied in this research by chi square test and multivariate by logistic regression. The research with total sampling76 with 38 heal patient and 38 complete treatment patientl. Base on the research show there are variable have p value ≤ 0,05. On the bivariate with chi square test provide 2 variable have significance correlation with sussessfuly treatment such as KIE (p value: 0,011) and drug complience ( p value: 0,05),Multivariate analysis using logistic regression obtained the main variables that affect the success of treatment is medication adherence but would not have a significant effect and show the strength of weak ties.
