Evaluasi Toleransi Tanaman Kedelai (Glycine Max (L.) Merrill) Generasi M3 Hasil Radiasi Sinar Gamma Terhadap Salinitas

The objective of the research is to know the tolerance of M3 soybean generation radiated by gamma ray to salinity. The research was conducted on the Experimental Farm Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra,, from December 2011 – March 2012. Randomized block design was used with two treatments i.e : population of M3 soybean (0, 10, 20, 30 krad per plant) and NaCl concentration (0, 1500, 3000, 4500 ppm). Parameters measured were plant germination, viability, high of plant, the number of node per plant, the number of branch, root longth, weigh of dry root, weigh of dry leaves, the number of pods per plant, the number of empty pods per plant and weigh of 100 seed. M3 soybeans showed significant diffrent on root longth and weigh of dry root. NaCl concentration affect were significantly to plant germination and viability.The interaction between population M3 soybeans and NaCl concentration were significantly to the number of node per plant, the number of branch, weigh of dry leaves, the number of pods per plant, the number of empty pods per plant and weigh of 100 seed

Respons Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Beberapa Varietas Tomat (Lycopersicum Esculentum L.) Dataran Rendah Terhadap Pemberian Pupuk Kandang Ayam

The purpose of the study was to determine the growth response and yield of some varieties oflowland tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum L.) under application of chicken manure. The researchwas conducted at Pasar I Tanjung Sari, Medan, of 25 meters above sea level, from June until August2013. The research design is a randomized block design with two factors, tomato varieties; Rempai,Vida and Super King, and chicken manure\u27s dosages; 0, 250, 500 and 750 g/polybag. Parametersobserved were plant height (cm), the number of fruit per plant, the number of bunches, the numberof fruit per bunch, average fruit weight (g) and heritability. The results showed that tomato varietieshave significant different on plant height, average fruit weight, the number of bunches, the numberof fruit per plant and the number of fruit per bunch, dosage of chicken manure showed significantparameters plan height, the numberof bunches and the number of fruit per bunch. Pertumbuhan Dan Perkembangan Nodus Kentang (Solanum Tuberosum L.) Akibat Modifikasi Konsentrasi Sukrosa Dan Penambahan 2-isopenteniladenina Secara in Vitro

Potato is horticulture crops that able to consume its corm and used as food materials until a raw material toindustry in Indonesia . However, potato production capacity is not proportional to the increase in demand forpotatoes this time, one of this problem due to lack of availability of quality seed. In vitro tecniques is oneway that can be taken by using nodes as seed. Sucrose and cytokinin have an important part on it wheresucrose acts as a carbon source and energy while cytokinin is important in cell division to support a nodesgrowth. The research aimed to get a suitable concentration of sucrose and 2-isopenteniladenine (2-ip) forgrowth of number of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) nodes by using in vitro methode. The research wascarried out in the Tissue Culture Laboratory, agriculture\u27s Faculty of North Sumatera University from Juneto September 2013. This research used Randomized Block design with two factors. First factor was sucroseconcentration consist of four level: 35 g/l; 50 g/l; 65 g/l; 80 g/l. The second factor was 2-ip concentrationconsist of five level are 0 mg/l; 2 mg/l; 4 mg/l; 6 mg/l; 8 mg/l. The results showed that sucrose gavesignifiantly effect to number of nodes after darkness period parameter. 2-ip concentration give significantlyeffect only on number of nodes after lighting period.
