From the whole plant of Hedyotis auricularia L., a new glycoside, 1’-deoxy-6’-O-(1-hydroxymethyl-2-hydroxy-1-methoxy)ethylglucopyranoside (1) was isolated along with 1’-O-ethyl-β-D-galactopyranoside (2), 2-formyl-5-hydroxymethylfuran (3), stigmasta-5,22-diene-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (4), ursolic acid (5) and oleanolic acid (6). Among them (1), (2), (3), (4)were the first time known to be present in this plant

Solid Waste Management Practices in the Street Food Sector in Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City

A survey on the solid waste management practices of the street food sector was conducted in Thủ Đức District, Ho Chi Minh City. All the street food vendors in the area were recorded, classified according to the nature of their stalls, and also categorized according to the type of food vended. A survey by interview was conducted with 62 random stalls to determine the solid waste management practices of the street food vendors and their customers. Waste samples from 32 different stalls were collected for weight and volume measurements as well as visual determination of waste composition. About 1158 stalls were recorded in the area, generating about 8.20 - 12.66 tons of wastes per day, roughly 3% – 5% of the total municipal solid waste in the district. Biodegradable waste accounted for about 89% by weight followed by non-biodegradable wastes, and recyclable wastes at 7% and 4% respectively. Reused grocery bags were the most common waste receptacle used by vendors. Segregation is limited to the materials that vendors can reuse or that the informal sector of recyclers buy and is prevalent only in stalls selling beverages, with plastic bottles and metal cans as the most recycled components. The rest of the wastes are commonly wrapped in bags or in burlap sacks for bulky wastes and left on roadsides awaiting collection. For differentiated teaching methods in Vietnam, educators only focus on intellectual ability which is provided in academic report cards. Overlooking psychological and cognitive factors leads to poor performance of differentiated teaching in high school in Vietnam. This application of technology in teaching helps teachers to prepare lessons quickly through available lecture templates, and at the same time take advantage of many resources such as videos, images, electronic documents, etc. help attract learners and improve teaching effectiveness

Synthesis of ZnO nanorod for immunosensor application

    Get PDF
This paper reported a facile method to synthesize ZnO nanorods for immunosensor application. The ZnO nanorods were synthesized by hydrothermal reaction. Synthesis time affecting on morphology of nanorods was also studied. The immobilization of anti-rotavirus onto ZnO nanorod-deposited sensor was performed via absorption method. The electrochemical responses of the immunosensor were studied by cyclic voltammetry (C-V) method with [Fe(CN)6]3−/4− as redox probe. A linear decreased response in C-V for cell of rotavirus concentration was found in the range of 7.8×105 CFU/mL to 7.8×108 CFU/mL. The detection limit of the immunosensor was 7.8×105 CFU/mL. The results indicated application of ZnO nanorod sensor for label-free real-time detection of a wide dynamics range of biological species

Purpose: The aim of this study is to focus on clarifying using case study method to improve taching law course. Currently, many universities around the world are applying a new teaching method. It can help students absorb knowledge more efficiently and faster. That is the case study. Using a Case Study allows a deeper understanding of cases as a unit, through comparing the similarities and differences of individual cases. Design/methodology/approach: The study uses qualitative analysis, synthesis and inductive methods, together with studies and references from CPTPP, FTA Agreement, as well as Regulations on assurance of business investment activities. Findings: The application of this method to teaching helps learners to approach very applicable situations. The situations or problems close to the theory will also help them to systematize all the knowledge they have learned to apply to solve the assigned problem. Not only use the knowledge learned, but also learn related knowledge outside the program to solve the problem. Case Study is an extremely interesting and interesting learning method, helping us to associate reality and apply it to solve problems and help us remember longer. If you really understand what a case study is, then apply it to your life and work. The results show the regulations on guaranteeing ownership rights as well as ensuring investors' business investment activities have been clearly stipulated in the 2020 Labor Law of Vietnam. These regulations have concretized the constitutional principle of investors' freedom to invest and do business in industries that are not prohibited by la
