B meson decays to baryons in the diquark model

We study B meson decays to two charmless baryons in the diquark model, including strong and electroweak penguins as well as the tree operators. It is shown that penguin operators can enhance \bar{B} \to \Bb_s \bar{\Bb} considerably, but affect \bar{B} \to \Bb_1 \bar{\Bb}_2 only slightly, where \Bb_{(1,2)} and \Bb_s are non-strange and strange baryons, respectively. The γ\gamma dependence of the decay rates due to tree-penguin interference is illustrated. In principle, some of the \Bb_s \bar{\Bb} modes could dominate over \Bb_1 \bar{\Bb}_2 for γ>90\gamma > 90^\circ, but in general the effect is milder than their mesonic counterparts. This is because the O6O_6 operator can only produce vector but not scalar diquarks, while the opposite is true for O1O_1 and O4O_4. Predictions from diquark model are compared to those from the sum rule calculation. The decays \bar{B} \to \Bb_s \bar{\Bb}_s and inclusive baryonic decays are also discussed.Comment: 9 pages, 6 figures, Revte

Mobile Commerce is anticipated to be the next business revolution. Under the trend of mobile age, a person begins to realize the benefits of transaction by mobility operations. We can access information, shop and bank on line, work from home and speak and send messages via mobile appliances throughout all over the world. The research that is mobile transaction managing on database has begun since 1950 and skips the Link and Network Layer with support to improve mobile commerce. This paper focus on how effectually to make the new generation of mobile network protocol apply on mobile commerce and improve the mainly four properties required by mobile transactions. The four properties are respectively atomicity, consistency, isolation and durability. The purpose based on the mobile commerce environment and making mobile transactions complete and personal by means of the Destination Extension Header based on IPv6 and the Java Transaction Service. After experiment and testing, this paper verify that we improve the mobile commerce environment and make the mobile transaction more complete with the optimization of the Destination Extension Header based on IPv6 and the Java Transaction Service under the comparison with the environment on IPv4

Collaborative Platform Empowerment: Case Study in the Digital Transformation of the Interior Design Industry

As the applications of digital technology matures, how to implement digital services and project management capabilities for interior design companies has become an important topic. This research is conducted with a case study method that solves the pain points of designers by introducing a digital empowerment platform as a collaborative service solution for designers. The research results show that the establishment of the platform for cross-industry collaborative mechanisms will reduce the construction period and internal management costs indirectly drive the overall operating efficiency of the interior design industry

A Case Study of the Application of Digital Technology in the Fast-Food-Breakfast Industry to Optimize Consumer Demand

According to research in many medical journals, breakfast is extremely important to human health. A nutritious breakfast can make people energetic and improve the efficiency of study and work. People in different countries and regions have a unique breakfast culture. In Taiwan, the breakfast/brunch-based industry is one of the franchise channels that has always been the fastest and easiest way for Taiwanese self-employed people to start a business. Some brands even have gone international and started to expand their business. This research study used G.C. Group as the research object and investigated the use of digital tools by franchisees through case combing and in-depth interviews with key stakeholders. The research analysis the digital implementation to assist the franchise headquarters on how to use digital technology to optimize franchisees, consumer services, and brand value enhancement. The research results find possible business models at the emergence stage, and maximizing value exchange and business opportunities through the interaction of all important stakeholders will be the direction of future research

The Role Of The CEO, Executive Team, And Workforce Metrics Of A Small University In The U.S.

The Role of the CEO, Executive Team, and Workforce Metrics of a small University in the U.S. is not just a question of academic standards. The 21st century requirements of education involve a wider set of attributes, equipping the young with social and organizational skills to cope with adult life inside and outside the workplace (Barber, 2001). It is necessary to describe the importance of aligning clear strategic priorities with workforce metric of a small university in the U.S. In addition, effective strategy execution requires a new partnership between the CEO, the workforce, and a small university’s HR function. Therefore, providing insights into the execution challenge, with examples of how a small university has developed workforce and HR strategies to drive strategy execution efforts, and offering suggestions about workforce metrics might enhance the success in strategy execution

Critical Factors Influencing the Extent of Customer Relationship Management Systems Adoption in Hospitals

    Get PDF
Customer relationship management system (CRMS) is an innovation technology which has dramatic impacts on healthcare quality and customer satisfaction. Although the critical factors for the adoption of information systems have been identified in prior studies, few of them specifically explore the extent of CRMS adoption in hospitals. To fill this gap, this study proposes an integrated model that incorporates both organizational and system related factors as primary determiners the extent of CRMS adoption in hospitals. A series of survey were conducted with three levels of health institutions including medical centers, regional hospitals, and community hospitals in Taiwan. The results indicated that hospital size and complexity have significant influence on the scope of CRMS adoption, and also indicated that hospital size, complexity and compatibility have significant influence on the depth of CRMS adoption in hospitals. These findings provided fruitful implications for both associated academics and practitioners

Microstructural Characteristics and Mechanical Behaviors of New Type SIMA Processed Aluminum Alloy

In this chapter, a new type strain-induced melt activation (SIMA) process for Al-Mg-Si alloys was used. The microstructural characteristics, formability at elevated temperature and mechanical properties were estimated. The high-hardness globular grain boundaries are formed by eutectic phases. This new type SIMA process has proved that it can decrease high temperature compression resistance and improve ability of metal flowing at high temperature. After SIMA forming process, the mechanical properties of materials can be improved via artificial aging and can be competed with general artificial aged materials. All results show that this SIMA process is a potential process

Abstract—Pentacene-based organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) with solution-processed barium titanate (Ba1.2Ti0.8O3) as a gate insulator are demonstrated. The electrical properties of pentacene-based TFTs show a high field-effect mobility of 8.85 cm2 · V−1 · s−1, a low threshold voltage of −1.89 V, and a low subthreshold slope swing of 310 mV/decade. The chemical composition and binding energy of solution-processed barium titanate thin films are analyzed through X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The matching surface energy on the surface of the barium titanate thin film is 43.12 mJ · m−2, which leads to Stranski–Krastanov mode growth, and thus, high mobility is exhibited in pentacene-based TFTs. Index Terms—Barium titanate, high field-effect mobility, high permittivity, organic thin-filmtransistor (OTFT), solution process
