Було обстежено 80 осіб, що потребують на ортопедичне лікування. Виявлено позитивний вплив методу виготовлення знімних пластинкових протезів за допомогою мікрохвильової полімеризації на клінічну адаптацію до них.The authors performed a clinical research to characterize the state of oral cavity tissues in orthopedic patients in different periods of using removable plate dentures. 80 persons in need of orthopedic treatment were examined. Positive influence of the microwave polymerization method of fabricating removable plate dentures on the clinical adaptation to them was revealed

    The effects of strength-based versus deficit-based self-regulated learning strategies on students' effort intentions

    In two randomized experiments, one conducted online (n = 174) and one in the classroom (n = 267), we tested the effects of two types of self-regulated learning (SRL) strategies on students’ intentions to put effort into professional development activities: strength-based SRL strategies (i.e., identifying perceived relative strengths and, subsequently, selecting professional development activities to further improve those strengths) versus deficit-based SRL strategies (i.e., identifying perceived relative short- comings and, subsequently, selecting professional develop- ment activities to improve those shortcomings). Across both studies, analysis of variance revealed that, relative to students who used deficit-based SRL strategies, students who used strength-based SRL strategies were higher in perceived competence, intrinsic motivation, and effort in- tentions. Moreover, the results of multi-mediator analysis and structural equation modeling supported the hypothesis that the effect of strength-based versus deficit-based SRL strategies on students’ effort intentions was sequentially mediated by perceived competence and intrinsic motiva- tion. Implications for the application of self-regulated learning strategies in the context of professional self-de- velopment are discussed

    De leraar basisonderwijs van de toekomst zal naast kennisoverdracht ook sterk erop gericht zijn zijn of haar leerlingen op hun eigen ontwikkelingsniveau kennis te leren toepassen en problemen te leren oplossen. Daarvoor is een ander rollenrepertoire voor de leraar van belang geworden: relevante oefenmaterialen en oefeningen ontwerpen en rolpatronen als coaching, uitdagen, diagnostische rol, monitoren van ontwikkeling, zelf voordoen en feedback geven, evalueren. Het dilemma van deze tijd is dat lerarenopleiders die de leraar van de toekomst moeten opleiden zelf zijn grootgebracht met kennisoverdracht als dominant didactisch paradigma. Om deze lerarenopleiders op inspirerende wijze te helpen hun opleidingen toekomstgerichter te maken dient dit veranderingsproject

    A Durable and Transportable Limnetic Enclosure System Suitable for Wind-Exposed Lakes

    A2-m-wide, transportable enclosure system suitable for cold, windy lakes is described. Incubation of these enclosures in the shallow (mean depth = 1.5 m) Lake Tjeukemeer, The Netherlands, has shown that its construction resists wind speeds of 14–20 m/s and temperatures below 5 °C. Potentially lethal concentrations of at least five toxic chemicals necessitate preliminary leaching in lake water of the polyvinylchloride material used in bag construction.
