Wave energy evolution of Yellow river delta induced by climate changes

Nowadays, climate changes are reported by many researches including IPCC, which might bring many\ud problems in coastal engineering. In the present work, the evolution of extreme wave and wave energy around Yellow\ud River Delta (YRD) induced by climate changes was analyzed since coastal erosion situation is becoming more and\ud more seriously as result of reducing of upstream sediment. The Yellow River is very famous in the world because of her\ud carrying out huge sediment before. However, from 1990 to now, sediment into seas carried by the Yellow River\ud decreases due to the construction of several dams in the upstream. So many coastal structures are being threatened by\ud wave and wave induced erosion. Based on the results given in former researches, the possible SLR around YRD in the\ud past several decades are assumed as 0.2m, 0.5m and 1.0m. Thirdly, evolution of wave energy and wave-induced bottom\ud shear stress (WIBSS) are studied by numerical simulation under the above three possible SLRs. Wave model SWAN is\ud adopted to simulate wave. The wave parameters including wave height, wave energy and WIBSS with effects of\ud possible changes are predicted numerically, which help government or constructers to design coastal protection\ud engineering. Results by now show that the obvious enhancements of wave energy and WIBSS appear in zones\ud shallower than 5 water depth contours. More attention should be paid to the security of coastal structures and sediment\ud transport under climate change in this area

THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Three-Dimensional Rotational Flow in Transonic Turbomachines Part I-Solution Obtained by Using a Number of S 1 Stream Filaments of Revolution and a Central S 2 Stream Filament

Summary The general theory of threedimensional flow in subsonic and supersonic turbomachines ) is extended to the three-dimensional rotational flow in transonic turbomachines. In Part I of the paper, an approximation that the S1 stream filaments are filaments of revolution is made. Then, the three-dimensional solution is obtained by an iterative solution between a number of Si stream filaments and a single S 2 stream filament. Recently developed relatively simple and quick method of solving the transonic St flow is utilized. The complete procedure is illustrated with the solution of the 3D flow in the DFVLR rotor operating at the design point. The solution is presented in detail, special emphasis being placed on the fulfillment of the convergence requirement. The character of the threedimensional field obtained is examined with the three-dimensional structure of the passage shock, the relative Mach number contours on a number of S1 surfaces, S2 surfaces, and cross surfaces, and the variations of the thickness of S1 and S. 2 filaments. Comparison between the calculated three-dimensional field with the DFVLR measured data shows: the character of the flow field and the streamwise variation of the flow variables in the middle of the flow channel are in good agreement. It is recommended that the method presented herein can be used for three-dimensional design of transonic turbomachines

Web phishing detection based on page spatial layout similarity

Web phishing is becoming an increasingly severe security threat in the web domain. Effective and efficient phishing detection is very important for protecting web users from loss of sensitive private information and even personal properties. One of the keys of phishing detection is to efficiently search the legitimate web page library and to find those page that are the most similar to a suspicious phishing page. Most existing phishing detection methods are focused on text and/or image features and have paid very limited attention to spatial layout characteristics of web pages. In this paper, we propose a novel phishing detection method that makes use of the informative spatial layout characteristics of web pages. In particular, we develop two different options to extract the spatial layout features as rectangle blocks from a given web page. Given two web pages, with their respective spatial layout features, we propose a page similarity definition that takes into account their spatial layout characteristics. Furthermore, we build an R-tree to index all the spatial layout features of a legitimate page library. As a result, phishing detection based on the spatial layout feature similarity is facilitated by relevant spatial queries via the R-tree. A series of simulation experiments are conducted to evaluate our proposals. The results demonstrate that the proposed novel phishing detection method is effective and efficient. Embedded systems are becoming more and more popular in current digital era. In order to improve the development efficiency, a framework of Object-Oriented (OO) program on embedded system is designed in this research. UML modeling language is adopted to construct the model of embedded system. By using UML, programmers can understand the system structure easily and improve the system design. This will reduce the whole development time. As an example, “Remote Bluetooth Communication System” was developed based on the proposed framework. It shows that we can develop two kinds of Micro Control Unit (MCU) in a very short time. Meanwhile the advantages of UML modeling language are obvious that it can help to develop embedded systems correctly and rapidly
