Semileptonic decays of meson to S-wave charmonium states in the perturbative QCD approach
Inspired by the recent measurement of the ratio of branching fractions
to and final states at the LHCb
detector, we study the semileptonic decays of meson to the S-wave ground
and radially excited 2S and 3S charmonium states with the perturbative QCD
approach. After evaluating the form factors for the transitions , where and denote pseudoscalar and vector S-wave charmonia,
respectively, we calculate the branching ratios for all these semileptonic
decays. The theoretical uncertainty of hadronic input parameters are reduced by
utilizing the light-cone wave function for meson. It is found that the
predicted branching ratios range from up to and could be
measured by the future LHCb experiment. Our prediction for the ratio of
branching fractions is in good
agreement with the data. For decays, the relative
contributions of the longitudinal and transverse polarization are discussed in
different momentum transfer squared regions. These predictions will be tested
on the ongoing and forthcoming experiments.Comment: 12 pages, 3 figures, 5 table
Snyder's Model -- de Sitter Special Relativity Duality and de Sitter Gravity
Between Snyder's quantized space-time model in de Sitter space of momenta and
the \dS special relativity on \dS-spacetime of radius with Beltrami
coordinates, there is a one-to-one dual correspondence supported by a minimum
uncertainty-like argument. Together with Planck length , should be a fundamental constant. They lead to a
dimensionless constant . These indicate that physics at these two scales should be dual to
each other and there is in-between gravity of local \dS-invariance
characterized by . A simple model of \dS-gravity with a gauge-like action on
umbilical manifolds may show these characters. It can pass the observation
tests and support the duality.Comment: 32 page
Adaptive internal model control research in autonomous landing phase for a fixed-wing UAV
utonomous landing is a very complex phase of flight for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Adaptive internal model control (AIMC) is proposed and applied on autonomous landing control system in this paper. Controllers are designed based on the decoupled and linearized models of a sample UAV. Estimation of process model is carried out to enhance system robustness, and filter parameter adjustment is proposed to achieve a good dynamic performance. Control effects are compared and analyzed between IMC and AIMC in different wind conditions which demonstrate that AIMC has better performances than IMC. At last, Monte Carlo simulations prove the system stability.

HIV/AIDS, parasites and co-infections: publication patterns in China
BACKGROUND: Since its discovery, HIV/AIDS has arguably captured more attention among the Chinese biomedical research community than most other infectious diseases. Traditional parasitic diseases, on the other hand, are perceived as being increasingly neglected. However, it has long been recognized that interactions between HIV and other infective agents, including parasites, influence the health status of people living with HIV/AIDS. This study aimed at systematically reviewing the Chinese scientific literature on HIV/AIDS and parasites between 1986 and 2006 in order to substantiate or refute these claims, and to highlight neglected research areas.
RESULTS: Searching the three largest Chinese scientific literature databases, in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) a total of 24,511 citations dealing with HIV/AIDS and 15,398 parasite-specific publications were identified. Wanfang Data and VIP Information (VIP) contained 15,925 and 13,873 entries dealing with HIV/AIDS, respectively, while 12,043 and 7,068 hits were scored when searching for parasitological references. The number of publications dealing with HIV/AIDS in China increased exponentially from 6 in 1986 to 3,372 in 2006 whereas the publication activity in the field of parasitology was more erratic and lately started to decline. Epidemiology was the most-reported field of endeavor, accounting for 26.0% and 24.6% of the HIV/AIDS and parasitological literature, respectively, while publications dealing with health education only represented 2.9% and 0.7% of all publications, respectively. The total number of Chinese articles focusing on HIV/AIDS and parasite co-infection was 650, with large year-on-year differences in publication numbers. The single-most frequently studied system was HIV-Pneumocystis carinii co-infection.
CONCLUSIONS: The present study revealed that in China, the fields of parasitic diseases, especially opportunistic parasitic infections linked with HIV/AIDS, is increasingly neglected. This suggests a need to enhance research in the field of opportunistic parasitic infections and parasitology in general
Effects of traditional trabeculectomy, mitomycin C trabeculectomy and sclera pool trabeculectomy on post-surgical life quality in glaucoma patients
AIM: To explore and compare the effects of trabeculectomy, mitomycin C(MMC)trabeculectomy and sclera pool trabeculectomy on life quality of patients with glaucoma. <p>METHODS: Totally, 60 patients(60 eyes)with glaucoma were divided into group A, B and C equally and randomly. Twenty patients(20 eyes)in group A received treatment of traditional trabeculectomy; Twenty patients(20 eyes)in group B received MMC trabeculectomy; while twenty patients(20 eyes)in group C received sclera pool trabeculectomy. One-year follow study was proposed, Chinese version low vision quality of life questionnaire(CLVQOL)and self- assessment score were used to evaluate effects of surgeries on life quality of patients. <p>RESULTS: Compared with group A, scoring of CLVQOL increased significantly in group B and C, and more significantly in group C(distant vision, movement, sensitization and fine work)when compared with group B(<i>P</i><0.05). Compared with group A, scoring of self assessment increased significantly in group B and C, more significantly in group C(vision self scoring and subjective brightness scoring)when compared with group B(<i>P</i><0.05). <p>CONCLUSION: The improvement effect of sclera pool trabeculectomy on life quality of patient with glaucoma is better than traditional and MMC trabeculectomy
Effects of Mo on the Microstructure and Hydrogen Sorption Properties of Ti-Mo Getters
AbstractThe effects of Mo on the microstructure evolution, porosity and hydrogen sorption properties of Ti-Mo getters are investigated in this work. The results show that the addition of Mo prolongs the densification process of Ti-Mo getters and results in a significant amount of sintered pores. With the Mo content increasing, the porosity of getters firstly increases reaching the maximum value as it attains about 7.5wt.%, and then drops. At the room temperature, the hydrogen sorption property of getters increases progressively with the Mo content increasing, but the tendency is not very clear before its content lies below 2.5wt.%. When the Mo content achieves about 7.5wt.%, the hydrogen sorption property proves to be the best. The discussion is made about the above mentioned phenomena inclusive of hydrogen sorption properties of getters under different activation conditions (from 500–750 °C)
