The research ofblended learning using flipped classroom is still at the early stage, hence the fundamental issues still unclear. Therefore, this study has examined the quality of use, by incorporating the quality constructs for entrepreneurship education. The framework was developed base on 'Quality of Use' Model underpinned by Luhmann's System Theory, Model of Online Learning and Social Learning Theory: Groups Nets and Sets. There were five variables tested in this study, namely satisfaction, efficiency, effectiveness, student interactions and student engagement. This study was conducted in two phases, firstly this study examined whether blended learning provide impacts on the studied variables. Later this study tested the relationship between variables based on the research framework. Data for the first stage were obtained through quasiexperimental among 90 students of entrepreneurship education for the Semester 201 54 in the Universiti Teknologi MARA Perlis. The results reveals that there were significant differences between treatment group and control group for all variables tested. Data for the second stage were collected through a self-administered survey questionnaires among 281 students of entrepreneurship education for Semester 20162 in the same university. This result reveals that student interactions have a significant relationship with satisfaction, efficiency, effectiveness. However, student engagement exhibits a significant influence to satisfaction, but insignificant influence to efficiency and effectiveness. Further analysis reveals that student interactions provides a partial mediation between student engagement and satisfaction and full mediation between student engagement and efficiency, as well as effectiveness. This study contributes to the development of quality framework for large enrollment in flipped classroom, a multi-method of data collection to ensure the appropriateness of variables selected, and a quality measure of blended learning in entrepreneurship education, as well as business management disciplines. Conclusions, limitation and suggestions for future studies are also highlighted

Objective: This study aimed to prepare fluconazole (FZ)-loaded solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) using a simplex centroid design and fatty acids to optimize the SLNs to get small-sized nanoparticles with a narrow distribution. Methods: Hot emulsification was used to prepare the FZ-loaded SLNs. Stearic acid (Sa) (X1), palmitic acid (Pa) (X2), and myristic acid (Ma) (X3) were the solid lipids. The effect of various types and amounts of fatty acids on the particle size, polydispersity index, zeta potential, and pH of the SLNs was studied using the simplex centroid design. Results: The particle size of all formulations ranged between 16.49 nm and 56.65 nm, and the polydispersity index (PDI) ranged between 0.258 and 0.676, indicating a relatively narrow size distribution. The zeta potential ranged from–7.47 to–12.2 mV. The pH was around 4.63–4.77, indicating that the SLN system was a weak acid. Design-Expert® software was used to design the responses of all model formulations and to select the optimized formulation. The optimal formulation comprised 0.190 g Sa, 0.048 g Pa, and 0.002 g Ma. The experimental values of the particle size and PDI of the optimal formulation did not differ significantly from the predicted values and lay within a 95% confidence interval (CI). Conclusion: Therefore, the simplex centroid design using fatty acids could efficiently formulate and optimize FZ-loaded SLNs

The relationship between spot price index and futures price index has been heavily studied by researchers empirically and theoretically. The downside of these studies is that only several studies were conducted in emerging markets and most of them were focused more on the developing market. In perfect markets, relationship between spot index and futures index price changes should be perfect. However, one of these markets may reflect information faster compared to the other market due to market imperfections. This study actually aims to determine the cointegration and causality relationship between stock futures index and cash price index in Malaysia. The data involved in this study includes FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI), FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Futures (FKLI) and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Futures for next month (FKLINM). In this study, several tests like Granger causality test and cointegration test were used in order to study the relationship between the spot price index and frtures price index. The direction of causality relationship of these two variables is unidirectional which runs from cash market to futures market. It shows that the cash market is more active than the futures market

In a previous study, the gene EgP450 that encodes the proteins of 505 amino acids was isolated from oil palm. The recombinant protein EgP450 is bound to phenylurea-like herbicides which detoxify the substance. Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), a mycotoxin produced by Aspergillus sp., is another toxic compound that is known to cause acute toxic effects and act as a hepatocarcinogenic agent. This study aimed to examine the role of EgP450 enzyme in mycotoxin bioactivation in human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs). Docking analysis showed that EgP450 is bound to the group of carcinogens, which includes AFB1, n-(2-fluorenyl) acetamide, n-n-butyl-n-butan-4-ol-nitrosamine, n-nitrosodiethylamine, n-nitrosodiethylamine and n-nitrosodimethylamine. An in vivo aflatoxin toxicity test on hMSCs and AFB1 induces the expression of Bmi-1 which is one of the markers for the development of cancer. The presence of EgP450 at 0.15 μg/mL could reduced the Bmi-1 expression in AFB1 induced cells. Moreover, this protein also showed some antioxidant activity. These results exhibited the enormous potential of EgP450 in the detoxification processes

Bioactive glass ceramics (BGCs) have been used in orthopedic and dentistry due to having better osteoconductive and osteostimulative properties. This study aimed to evaluate and compare the drug release properties of two different BGCs; 45S5 and S53P4. The BGCs were composed with four phases of SiO2 – CaO – Na2O – P2O5 system, synthesized by sol–gel method using dual templates; a block-copolymer as mesoporous templates and polymer colloidal crystals as macroporous templates, called three-dimensionally ordered macroporous-mesoporous bioactive glass ceramics (3DOM-MBGCs). In vitro bioactivity test performed by soaking the 3DOM-MBGCs in simulated body fluid (SBF) at 37°C. The results indicated that, the 45S5 have the ability to grow hydroxyapatite-like layer on the surfaces faster than S53P4. Gentamicin drug was used to examine in vitro drug release properties in phosphate buffer solution (PBS). The amount of drug release was quantified through UV/Vis spectroscopy by using o-phthaldialdehyde reagent. S53P4 showed high drug loading content. The outcome of drug release in PBS showed that both S53P4 and 45S5 exhibited a slowly continuous gentamicin release. The resultant drug release profiles were fitted to the Peppas-Korsmeyer model to establish the predominant drug release mechanisms, which revealed that the kinetics of drug release from the glasses mostly dominated by Fickian diffusion mechanism
