我が国では、女性管理職登用において先進国のなかで大きな後れをとっている。先進諸国の多くが３割を超えるのに対し、日本の女性管理職比率は2017年度時点で11.5％にとどまる。女性管理職育成を進める企業がぶつかる壁として、ジェンダー・バイアスが指摘されている。そこで、本研究では、組織リーダーに望まれるものと、成人男性・女性に望まれるものの関係を探ることで、ジェンダー・バイアスが女性管理職登用に与える影響を探る。大手企業25社に勤める2527名から得たアンケート回答を分析した結果、組織リーダーは望ましさの程度が似ている男性向きで、女性にはふさわしくないというジェンダー・バイアスが存在することが示唆された。さらに、ジェンダー・バイアスは、男性に比べ女性回答者により強い傾向がみられた。こうしたジェンダー・バイアスにより、女性が管理職になることをためらう、また組織内でも女性は登用にふさわしくないとみなされる可能性がある

Candida albicans keratitis modified by steroid application

The paper reports on Candida albicans ocular infection modified by steroid eye drops. A 74-year-old male complained of conjunctival injection and pain in his right eye three months after pterygium and cataract surgery. After treatment with antibiotics and steroid eye drops for three days, he was referred to our hospital. Clear localized corneal endothelial plaque with injection of ciliary body was observed. No erosion of the corneal epithelium, or infiltration of stromal edema was observed, suggesting that the pathological organism derived from the intracameral region. Because ocular infection was suspected, steroid eye drops were stopped, which led immediately to typical infectious keratitis in the pathological region, with epithelial erosion, fluffy abscess, stromal infiltration, and edema. For diagnostic purposes, the plaque was surgically removed with forceps and the anterior chamber was irrigated with antibiotics. The smear and culture examination from the plaque revealed C. albicans surrounded by neutrophils. However, aqueous fluid and fibrous tissue after gonio procedure contained no mycotic organisms. Topical fluconazole, micafungin, and pimaricin with oral itraconazole (150 mg/day) were effective. Special attention is needed when prescribing steroid eye drops to treat corneal disease especially postoperatively. Diagnosing infectious keratitis is sometimes difficult because of modification by some factors, such as postoperative conditions, scarring, and drug-induced masking. Estratégias de Prevenção do Suicídio em Médicos: Revisão Sistemática de Literatura

O objetivo deste estudo foi realizar uma revisão sistemática da literatura para identificar e analisar as estratégias de prevenção do suicídio utilizadas em médicos. A classe médica é uma das que mais cometem suicídio, é um problema mundial e de saúde pública. A OMS (Organização Mundial da Saúde) e outras organizações internacionais têm trabalhado juntas para reduzir o suicídio, no entanto, esse fenômeno não foi reduzido entre os médicos. A revisão sistemática foi realizada em cinco base de dados (PubMed, LILACS, SciELO, PsycINFO, Cochrane) com estudos publicados referentes à prevenção do suicídio em médicos nos últimos 11 anos (2008-2018). Foram encontrados apenas 05 artigos que atenderam os critérios de inclusão. Observou-se que não há homogeneidade ou sistematização clara nas intervenções, houve pouca participação dos médicos nos programas de prevenção do suicídio devido ao estigma do transtorno mental e ao suicídio, mas que foram eficazes para aqueles que procuraram por ajuda

わが国における女性の管理職登用は、先進諸国のなかでも大きな後れをとっている。その要因として、管理職にふさわしい女性が少ない、女性がリーダーになりたがらない、といったことが挙げられるが、実際に女性が管理職に求められる能力、資質、またリーダーシップに欠けるのか否かを確認した先行研究は少ない。そこで本研究では、大企業管理職の成果につながるリーダーシップ・スタイルの男女別、階層別の比較を行うことを目的とした。大企業勤務者を対象とした調査で、部下有と回答した1,546名のデータを取得し、はじめに、性別・階層別のリーダーシップ・スタイルを確認した結果、成果につながるとされる変革型リーダーシップにおいては各階層で男女差は見られなかった。次に、リーダーシップ・スタイルが成果にどのように影響しているかの検討を行うため、決定木分析、選抜型多群主成分回帰分析を用いた解析により分析を行ったところ、役員層（男女）では個別配慮を成果につなげる傾向が大きいことがわかった。また男性部課長では動機鼓舞を成果につなげ、女性部長は存在強調、女性課長はビジョン伝達と個別配慮を成果につなげる傾向がみられた

Surfactant-free solution synthesis of fluorescent platinum subnanoclusters

We have demonstrated the first surfactant-free synthesis of fluorescent Pt nanoclusters in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) solution. The Pt nanoclusters consist of 4 to 6 Pt atoms. They form highly stable dispersions in water, under both acidic (pH 2) and basic conditions (pH 12), and at ionic strengths of 1 M NaCl

Changes in sitting posture after adjusting a wheelchair -An interventional case approach in VDT work-

The employment of disabled persons has increased since this become mandatory. On the other hand, adapting the work environment for the disabled has not been made compulsory for employers, so that some disabled employees complain of fatigue or physical pain after working. Disabled people with trunk impairments find that they cannot adjust to a comfortable sitting posture and therefore suffer from long periods of sitting. We implemented an intervention to adjust a work environment, focusing especially on the electric wheelchair. The subject was a 26-year-old female who has quadriplegia and sigmoidicity scoliosis. She works in a private company while suffering from lumbago. We evaluated her sitting posture and the wheelchair, made a new back-support cushion, and changed the wheelchair controller for one that opens to the side. After the intervention, sitting posture and lumbago improved, and the reach distance at her work desk was extended. This intervention improved her complaint by adjusting the work environment to her condition, without need of physical treatment
