    COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF 3D PHOTOGRAMMETRY MODELING SOFTWARE PACKAGES FOR DRONES SURVEY

    Drones are becoming popular in spatial mapping or survey. The use of drones survey can be seen from it low flying heights (capable to create a clear images), accessible on difficult or non-friendly vehicle access areas, faster data acquisition and higher data resolution henceforth improve the quality of the survey. However, this paper focuses on the post-processing of drone images for 3D surface modeling. With the motivation of producing better 3D models, four software packages are used for comparison. Those software packages are eyesMap3D, Drone Deploy, Agisoft PhotoScan and Pix4Dmapper. The equipment used to ensure a high level of quality model is the Leica GPS1200+ stationary GPS module and the DJI Phantom 4 PRO drone. The Leica GPS1200+ stationary GPS module were used to track the exact position of tie points on the ground. Meanwhile the DJI Phantom 4 PRO drone is used as data inputs (images) for the software packages stated. In addition, the drone is used to fly over a golf course, with a challenge of homogenous surface for 3D surface modeling. Based on the output, it shows that each software packages produces slightly different outputs. This paper summarizes the outputs and discusses the key elements in each software packages. This variation might be useful for future references in 3D surface modeling that can conform in different applications requirements

    Building resilience in Ocean Cities of the Pacific region is key to converting challenges and risks communities face into opportunities for systemic transformation toward sustainable development. Island settlements at the nexus of ocean health, climate change and urban development will need to build anticipatory, adaptive, absorptive and transformative capacity in the face of complex stressors. The interlinked challenges and resource constraints in rapidly growing Ocean Cities in the Pacific means that the ability to absorb shocks and bounce back relevant partners and stakeholders to promote equitable opportunities for all people in urban communities to access resources and use them sustainably, and to apply standardized methods contextualized for the Pacific to assess the relative vulnerability of communities in Ocean Cities. It also recognizes the importance of promoting stronger governance regimes within urban communities, aligning these with the policies of local government, and encouraging partnerships between urban and rural communities. This second policy brief in the Ocean Cities series offers guidance in this direction

    Data on the impact of long term treatment with immunomodulatory drugs (IMiD) on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is limited. The HOVON-87/NMSG18 study was a randomized, phase 3 study in newly diagnosed transplant ineligible patients with multiple myeloma, comparing melphalan-prednisolone in combination with thalidomide or lenalidomide, followed by maintenance therapy until progression (MPT-T or MPR-R). The EORTC QLQ-C30 and MY20 questionnaires were completed at baseline, after three and nine induction cycles and six and 12 months of maintenance therapy. Linear mixed models and minimal important differences were used for evaluation. 596 patients participated in HRQoL reporting. Patients reported clinically relevant improvement in global quality of life (QoL), future perspective and role and emotional functioning, and less fatigue and pain in both arms.     A phenylene-diimine-capped conjugate of lower rim 1,3-calix[4]arene (L) was synthesized, characterized, and shown to selectively bind to Mg2+ using its capped arms. This results in a selective recognition of Mg2+ through eliciting fluorescence enhancement of similar to 70 fold with a detection limit of 40 +/- 5 ppb. However, in the presence of blood serum, the lowest detection limit is 209 +/- 10 ppb (0.2 mu M). The binding of Mg2+. to L is authenticated by absorption and H-1 NMR data. The Job's plot derived on the basis of the absorption data showed 1:1 stoichiometry between the receptor and Mg2+. The 1:1 species was further confirmed through ESI MS, that is, being supported by the isotope peak pattern authenticating the presence of Mg2+ in the complex. The L binds Mg2+ octahedrally using the tetradentate L2- and two additional acetic acid moieties by bringing conformational changes as studied on the basis of MM computations. The conformational changes that occur in the capped arms upon Mg2+ binding were supported experimentally by NOESY. AFM and SEM studies showed that spherical particles of L are modified into flower and chain type aggregates upon complexation with Mg2+, confirming the supramolecular behavior of the species formed

    Hydraulic jump is the phenomenon in which the flow changes from superundal flow to subundal flow. The hydraulic jump concept is widely used in any hydraulic structures for energy dissipater at d/s side of the hydraulic structures. Hence Study of hydraulic jump is very important in such field. The HEC-RAS software is used to simulate the flow over ogee spillway. This software is used to determine the location of hydraulic jump and the nature of corresponding water surface profile. Results obtained from the HEC-RAS software are compared with theExperimental results. The Height of Ogee spillway of Gunjawani Dam is 22.76m and width of spillway 27 m.Design Discharge is 1280.03m3/s and Length of stilling basin is 52m.Top width of end weir is 0.6 m, height is 4m and bottom width is 2.6m. This research is useful for checking the feasibility of HEC-RAS software for prediction of location of hydraulic jump and to observe the features of channel flow
