TEACH-WELL. Good Behavior Game (Team-oriented classroom intervention to support mental health and well being â TEACH-WELL)
(DIPF/Orig.
Stellar Astrophysics and Exoplanet Science with the Maunakea Spectroscopic Explorer (MSE)
The Maunakea Spectroscopic Explorer (MSE) is a planned 11.25-m aperture
facility with a 1.5 square degree field of view that will be fully dedicated to
multi-object spectroscopy. A rebirth of the 3.6m Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope
on Maunakea, MSE will use 4332 fibers operating at three different resolving
powers (R ~ 2500, 6000, 40000) across a wavelength range of 0.36-1.8mum, with
dynamical fiber positioning that allows fibers to match the exposure times of
individual objects. MSE will enable spectroscopic surveys with unprecedented
scale and sensitivity by collecting millions of spectra per year down to
limiting magnitudes of g ~ 20-24 mag, with a nominal velocity precision of ~100
m/s in high-resolution mode. This white paper describes science cases for
stellar astrophysics and exoplanet science using MSE, including the discovery
and atmospheric characterization of exoplanets and substellar objects, stellar
physics with star clusters, asteroseismology of solar-like oscillators and
opacity-driven pulsators, studies of stellar rotation, activity, and
multiplicity, as well as the chemical characterization of AGB and extremely
metal-poor stars.Comment: 31 pages, 11 figures; To appear as a chapter for the Detailed Science

The Zwicky Transient Facility: Science Objectives
The Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF), a publicâprivate enterprise, is a new time-domain survey employing a dedicated camera on the Palomar 48-inch Schmidt telescope with a 47 deg2 field of view and an 8 second readout time. It is well positioned in the development of time-domain astronomy, offering operations at 10% of the scale and style of the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) with a single 1-m class survey telescope. The public surveys will cover the observable northern sky every three nights in g and r filters and the visible Galactic plane every night in g and r. Alerts generated by these surveys are sent in real time to brokers. A consortium of universities that provided funding (âpartnershipâ) are undertaking several boutique surveys. The combination of these surveys producing one million alerts per night allows for exploration of transient and variable astrophysical phenomena brighter than râŒ20.5 on timescales of minutes to years. We describe the primary science objectives driving ZTF, including the physics of supernovae and relativistic explosions, multi-messenger astrophysics, supernova cosmology, active galactic nuclei, and tidal disruption events, stellar variability, and solar system objects. © 2019. A holistic framework of corporate website favourability
This paper extends the current knowledge of corporate website favourability (CWF) by developing a comprehensive conceptual model of its influence on corporate image, corporate reputation, loyalty and identification. The paper reviews previous studies on corporate websites from the perspectives of marketing, management, corporate identity and corporate visual identity in order to inform our understanding of the antecedents and consequences of CWF. The propositions and the conceptual framework present an approach by which a corporation can design and manage a favourable corporate website. A number of important contributions are offered: First, the paper adds to the understanding of CWF; second, it discusses the antecedents of CWF by drawing upon the existing literature; third, it is beneficial for practitioners in shaping CWF strategies, and fourth, it offers possible consequences of CWF and provides a framework for future testing
The extended LUBO-school training in special education: evaluation of an indicated prevention program for primary schools
(DIPF/Orig.)In the first years of school, pre-existing mental behavioral problems of children in special education schools make a specific promotion of social and emotional skills urgently necessary. To test the effectiveness of the extended Lubo training in the use for children with special educational needs in the areas of learning and behavioral disorders, the training was evaluated in a study with 225 pupils in special education schools (EBD/LD). To quantify the effectiveness of the program in the indicated prevention, a summative evaluation with pre, post and three-month follow-up in the areas: (1) socially desirable behaviors (emotional-social skills), (2) socially undesirable behaviors (at-risk behavior), (3) academic skills and potential of intellectual performance was performed. To verify the effects, t-tests and multifactorial analyses of variance were used. The summative evaluation pointed out effects in the outcome areas of emotional-social skills, academic skills and reduction of behavior disorders. (DIPF/Orig.
