    State-of-the art teaching material of the OWASP Top 10

    Nowadays, web security has become something indispensable when working with the Internet, whether to protect business databases, establish communications, etc. With the aim of creating teaching material, I have created some laboratory sessions and documented several issues related to the ?OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) top 10 vulnerabilities?. As a method, a systematic review o information in a large number of reliable Internet resources has been carried out, and several laboratory exercises has been created. As a result a large amount of teaching material including some exercises has been created about different themes, mianly: JWT (JSON Web Tokens), JKUs (JWK Set URL) and JWKs (JSON Web Keys); Cookies, XSS Attacks (Cross Site Scripting). As a conclusion, this project collects information about different topics related to web security, and the exploitation of some vulnerabilities. With all this material, students can get a solid base on this topics and see the performance of some of this attacks.En la actualidad, la seguridad web se ha convertido en algo indispensable a la hora de trabajar con Internet, ya sea para proteger bases de datos empresariales, establecer comunicaciones, etc. Con el objetivo de crear material docente, he creado algunas sesiones de laboratorio y documentado varios problemas relacionados con el 'Top 10 de vulnerabilidades de OWASP'. Como método se ha llevado a cabo una revisión sistemática de la información en un gran número de recursos fiables de Internet y se han creado varios ejercicios de laboratorio. Como resultado se ha creado una gran cantidad de material didáctico que incluye algunos ejercicios sobre diferentes temas, principalmente: JWT (JSON Web Tokens), JKUs (JWK Set URL) y JWKs (JSON Web Keys); Cookies, Ataques XSS (Cross Site Scripting). Como conclusión, este proyecto recopila información sobre diferentes temas relacionados con la seguridad web y la explotación de algunas vulnerabilidades. Con todo este material, los estudiantes pueden obtener una base sólida sobre estos temas y ver el rendimiento de algunos de estos ataques.En l'actualitat, la seguretat web s'ha convertit en una cosa indispensable per treballar amb Internet, ja sigui per a protegir les bases de dades empresarials, establir comunicacions, etc. Amb l'objectiu de crear material docent, he creat algunes sessions de laboratori i documentat diversos temes relacionats amb «OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) top 10 vulnerabilitats». Com a mètode, s'ha dut a terme una revisió sistemàtica de la informació en un gran nombre de recursos d'Internet fiables, i s'han creat diversos exercicis de laboratori. Com a resultat, s'ha creat una gran quantitat de material docent que inclou alguns exercicis sobre diferents temes, principalment: JWT (JSON Web Tokens), JKUs (JWK Set URL) i JWKs (JSON Web Keys); Cookies, atacs XSS (Cross Site Scripting). Com a conclusió, aquest projecte recopila informació sobre diferents temes relacionats amb la seguretat web i l'explotació d'algunes vulnerabilitats. Amb tot aquest material, els estudiants poden obtenir una base sòlida en aquests temes i veure com es portem a terme alguns d'aquests atacs

    Effects of Whole-Grain and Sugar Content in Infant Cereals on Gut Microbiota at Weaning: A Randomized Trial

    The introduction of complementary foods during infancy marks an important step in the development of the infant gut microbiome. Infant cereals are popular weaning foods but consistent evidence on their effect on the intestinal microbiota, especially when differing in nutritional quality, is lacking. Fecal samples from 4–7-month-old Spanish infants who consumed infant cereals differing in whole grain and sugar content as first weaning foods were analyzed on changes in microbial composition by massively parallel sequencing of the 16S ribosomal RNA gene at baseline and after 7 weeks of intervention. Samples were obtained from a previous trial conducted in Spain demonstrating whole-grain cereal acceptability. In total, samples of 18 infants consuming 0% whole grain cereals with 24 g sugar (0-WG) and 25 infants consuming 50% whole grain cereals with 12 g sugar (50-WG) were analyzed. Microbial composition changed significantly over time (p = 0.001), per intervention group (p = 0.029) and per infant (p = 0.001). Abundance of genus Veillonella increased in both groups while Enterococcus decreased. Within the 0-WG group, phylum Actinobacteria decreased along with genus Bifidobacterium. In the 50-WG, we observed an increase in Lachnoclostridium and Bacteroides. In addition, 50-WG decreased Proteobacteria and Escherichia to levels lower than 0-WG. Although weaning itself appeared to be responsible for most changes, the increased presence of anaerobic fermenters together with inhibition of pathogenic Escherichia may indicate a supporting effect of infant cereals with 50% whole grains and a reduced sugar content over infant cereals manufactured with refined hydrolyzed flours on the infant microbiota. In fact, using a novel methodology for the identification of microbial signatures, we found two groups of microbial taxa predictive of infants consuming enriched whole-grain infant cereals with a high predictive value of about 93%.European funding from ICEX and FEDER—Program R + D Invest 539 in Spain 2015European Regional Development Fund: 20150347

    En el presente trabajo, se realiza un análisis crítico de la competencia cultural como estrategia para reducir las desigualdades en salud en contextos de diversidad asociada a la inmigración. Tras un breve recorrido histórico sobre el surgimiento y evolución de este concepto, se plantea una severa crítica a las políticas y prácticas de promoción de la competencia cultural dada su incapacidad para transformar las condiciones generadoras de desigualdad en el acceso a la salud y los servicios sanitarios en contextos de diversidad, particularmente en tiempos de crisis y austeridad.Neste trabalho, apresenta-se uma análise crítica da competência cultural como estratégia para reduzir as desigualdades em saúde em contextos de diversidade associada à imigração. Após um breve percurso histórico pelo surgimento e evolução deste conceito, faz-se uma severa crítica das políticas e práticas de promoção da competência cultural, dada a sua incapacidade para transformar as condições que levam à desigualdade na saúde e no acesso aos serviços de saúde em contextos de diversidade, particularmente nos atuais tempos de crise e austeridade.The main aim of this paper is to critically examine the adequacy of cultural competence as a strategy to reduce health inequalities in contexts of migration-driven diversity. After a brief historical overview of the emergence and evolution of this concept, cultural competence policies and practices are severely criticized due to their inability to transform the conditions leading to inequalities in health and healthcare in contexts of diversity, particularly in current times of crisis and austerity

    La aproximación multimétodo en evaluación de necesidades

    La evaluación de necesidades es una modalidad de investigación social aplicada, de carácter evaluativo, que consiste en identificar y priorizar los problemas existentes en un contexto determinado, como base para la planificación de intervenciones que incidan sobre las principales carencias detectadas. A pesar de la amplia variedad de métodos de investigación disponibles para el desarrollo de este tipo de estudios, la práctica de la evaluación de necesidades suele caracterizarse por cierta pobreza metodológica, con un claro predominio de la encuesta como principal o único método de recogida de información. En el presente trabajo, tras realizar una breve revisión de las aproximaciones metodológicas alternativas que es posible adoptar en el ámbito general de la investigación social y la evaluación de programas, se propone un modelo multimétodo de evaluación de necesidades que plantea el uso combinado de técnicas de investigación tanto cuantitativas como cualitativas.Needs assessment is a type of applied social evaluative research, focused on the identification and prioritization of problems in a specific context, as a base for intervention planning oriented to solve the main identified needs. In spite of the huge availability of research methods for the development of this kind of studies, needs assessment practice is too often charaterized by certain methodological poverty, with a clear dominance of the survey as the main or only research method. In the present paper, after a brief revision of the methodological approaches that may be adopted in the general field of social research and programme evaluation, a multimethod needs assessment model is proposed, suggesting the combined use of both qualitative and quantitative research techniques
