    Pengembangan Strategic Business Unit Perhutani Unit III Jawa Barat dan Banten

    Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) menganalisis kemampuan inovasi dan daya saing Strategic Business Unit (SBU) di Kesatuan Bisnis Mandiri (KBM) Industri dan 2) merumuskan kebijakan alternatif yang dapat meningkatkan inovasi dan daya saing Perusahaan. Penelitian dilakukan pada KBM Industri dan SBU yang ada didalam KBM Industri. Informasi dan data didapat melalui wawancara dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada responden dengan jumlah sebanyak 10 orang. Responden yang diambil bersangkutan dengan topik penelitian ini dan mempunyai keahlian dan atau pengalaman pada bidang yang dikaji. Teknik pengolahan data menggunakan analisis SWOT dan analytic hierarchy process. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah KBM Industri Unit III memiliki kekuatan dan peluang untuk melakukan ekspansi, memperbesar pertumbuhan dan meraih kemajuan secara maksimal dengan meningkatkan kualitas, mengembangkan produk baru, memperbaiki proses dan meningkatkan akses ke pasar yang lebih luas. Potensi inovasi Perusahaan juga dapat dilihat dari inovasi proses-produk, inovasi pengetahuan-ketrampilan dan inovasi metode-sistem. Pada KBM Industri Unit III potensi tersebut meliputi potensi bahan baku, peralatan proses dan produk Peningkatan inovasi Perusahaan dipengaruhi oleh faktor utama organisasi dengan nilai 0,436 dan aktor yang paling berpengaruh adalah sumber daya manusia dengan nilai 0,398. Tujuan utamanya adalah perbaikan proses dengan nilai 0,756. Peningkatan inovasi Perusahaan dapat dicapai melalui prioritas strategi, yaitu kerja sama dengan pihak lain/ekternal dengan bobot 0,703 dan mengoptimalkan penelitian dan pengembangan atau membuat penelitian dan pengembangan yang berdekatan dengan SBU dengan bobot 0,297

    . Innovation has a role in improving firm\u27s performance, as well as to build the firm\u27s competitiveness. Firms whose continuously innovate will be more adaptive and competitive in changing market. The firm\u27s need to innovate is in almost all industrial sectors, including clean water technology industry. The diversity of water treatment technology emerged to meet various need of user. This study aims to examine how the different characteristics of users influence the degree of innovations novelty produced by water treatment technology manufacturers. The method used is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methodsthrough conducting surveys and in-depth interviews. The results showed that differences in the characteristics of users will influence the degree of novelty of innovation in water treatment technology industries. There are three characteristics that influence the degree of novelty of innovation, namely technology needs, innovation funding and user involvement in the development process of innovation. Efficiency based innovation, flexibility of innovation funding, and increasing user involvement in the development of innovation will increase the degree of novelty of innovation

    Kajian Strategi Bisnis dan Teknologi Produksi Bihun Jagung untuk Meningkatkan Inovasi dan Daya Saing PT. Subafood Pangan Jaya

    A large number of Indonesia's population is related with the food security. One of the efforts is food diversification i.e. producing the non-rice food such as corn vermicelli. PT. Subafood Pangan Jaya located in Tangerang, is the first producer of corn vermicelli in Indonesia who started their production in 2005. The objectives of the research are (1) to analyze the internal and external condition of the company (2) to asses the status of component and capability of the current technology used by the company and (3) to formulate the technology and business strategy. The research was conducted by two methods, namely (1) science and technological management information system (STMIS) to determine the status of technology component (technoware, humanware, inforware and orgaware ) and technology capabilities (operative, supportive, acquisitive and innovative); (2) internal and external factors analysis to determine the business strategy. Results of the technology component assessment shows that the current component technology status is categorized as middle technology, whereas in the future, the compony has planned to have more sophisticated one. The result of technology capabilities assesment indicates that the current technology capabilities are comparable with the similar companies in Indonesia and they plan to be the best in ASEAN. The priority of business strategies that could be implemented are (1) product development, (2) backward integration, (3) market development, (4) horizontal integration, (5) forward integration, and (6) market penetration
