    Scheduling Under Labour Resource Constraints

    No full text
In this paper we introduce an optimization problem extracted from an industrial application: the scheduling problem under labour constraints. After giving a short summary of the origins of this problem and its mathematical formulation, the different methods used for solving it (at least partially) are briefly described. In the last part, we present a set of 25 instances of different sizes for benchmark purposes. So far, only 5 of these test instances have been solved to optimality, the others remaining open.54415422Alvarez-Valdés Olaguíbel, R., Tamarit Goerlich, J.M., Heuristic algorithms for resource-constrained project scheduling: A review and an empirical analysis (1989) Advances in Project Scheduling, pp. 113-134. , Amsterdam: ElsevierBaptiste, P., Le Pape, C., Constraint Propagation and Decomposition Techniques for Highly Disjunctive and Highly Cumulative Project Scheduling Problems (1997) Principles and Practice of Constraint Programming - CP97, , Berlin, Heidelberg: SpringerBartusch, M., Möhring, R.H., Radermacher, F.J., Scheduling project networks with resource constraints and time windows (1988) Annals of Operations Research, 16, pp. 201-240Cavalcante, C.C.B., De Souza, C.C., Savelsbergh, M.W.P., Wang, Y., Wolsey, L.A., Scheduling projects with labor constraints (1998) Discrete and Applied Mathematics, (SPEC.
