    Security of Agrarian Portals

    No full text
This paper deals with the safety evaluation of agrarian portals operated in the Czech Republic. It focuses mainly on security authentication process when accessing remote servers. The security of internet banking application has high level but the safety of agrarian portals seems to be very low. However, these systems contain sensitive data that must be adequately secured. The assessment covers “eAGRI” portal, “Portál farmáře” (Farmers portal), “Internet pro chovatele” (Internet for breeders) and “Agromanuál”. Two most popular domestic portals – „seznam.cz” and “Datové schránky” (Data boxes) were also included to compare the results of agricultural portals security. The aim of this paper is to point out the lack of security in relation to the management of user identities and suggest measures to improve safety

Pixel front-end development in 65 nm CMOS technology

Luminosity upgrade of the LHC (HL-LHC) imposes severe constraints on the detector tracking systems in terms of radiation hardness and capability to cope with higher hit rates. One possible way of keeping track with increasing luminosity is the usage of more advanced technologies. Ultra deep sub-micron CMOS technologies allow a design of complex and high speed electronics with high integration density. In addition, these technologies are inherently radiation hard. We present a prototype of analog pixel front-end integrated circuit designed in 65 nm CMOS technology with applications oriented towards the ATLAS Pixel Detector upgrade. The aspects of ultra deep sub-micron design and performance of the analog pixel front-end circuits will be discussed

Abstract: Terms of use: Documents in We provide a critical review of the literature on early warning indicators of economics crises and propose methods to overcome several pitfalls of the previous contributions. We use a quarterly panel of 40 EU and OECD countries for the period 1970-2010. As the response variable, we construct a continuous index of crisis incidence capturing the real costs for the economy. As the potential warning indicators, we evaluate a wide range of variables, selected according to the previous literature and our own considerations. For each potential indicator we determine the optimal lead employing panel vector autoregression, then we select useful indicators employing Bayesian model averaging. We re-estimate the resulting specification by system GMM to account for potential endogeneity of some indicators. Subsequently, to allow for country heterogeneity, we evaluate the random coefficients estimator and illustrate the stability among endogenous clusters. Our results suggest that global variables rank among the most useful early warning indicators. In addition, housing prices emerge consistently as an important domestic source of risk
