Chaos synchronization in the multi-feedback Ikeda model
We investigate synchronization between two unidirectionally coupled chaotic
multi-feedback Ikeda systems and find both the existence and stability
conditions for anticipating, lag, and complete synchronizations.Generalization
of the approach to a wide class of nonlinear systems is also presented.Comment: 5 pages. submitte

The paper is devoted to research of cathode surfaces with different curvature radius (r = 1β8 mm) while forming nanosecond pulsed discharge in dense air. Influence of field and air pressure heterogeneity rate in gas gap on size of micro-craters being formed on working cathode surface after pulsed effect has been shown in the paper. The paper reveals a maximum expansion of separate micro-crater size on cathode surface with small curvature radius.ΠΠ°ΡΡΠΎΡΡΠ°Ρ ΡΡΠ°ΡΡΡ ΠΏΠΎΡΠ²ΡΡΠ΅Π½Π° ΠΈΡΡΠ»Π΅Π΄ΠΎΠ²Π°Π½ΠΈΡΠΌ ΠΏΠΎΠ²Π΅ΡΡ

For the analysis and control of power systems deterministic approaches that are implemented in the form of well-known methods and models of calculation of steady-state and transient modes are mostly use in current practice. With the use of these methods it is possible to obtain solutions only for fixed circuit parameters of the system scheme and assuming that active and reactive powers as well as generation in nodal points of the network remain the same. In reality the stochastic character of power consumption cause the casual fluctuations of voltages at the nodes and power flows in electric power lines of the power system. Such casual fluctuations of operation can be estimated with the use of probabilistic simulation of the power flows. In the article the results of research of the influence of depth of casual fluctuations of the load power of the system on the probability distribution of voltage at nodes as well as on the flows of active and reactive power in the lines are presented. Probabilistic modeling of flow under stochastic load change is performed for different levels of fluctuations and under loading of the mode of the system up to peak load power. Test study to quantify the effect of stochastic variability of loads on the probabilistic distribution parameters of the modes was carried out on behalf of the electrical network of the real power system. The results of the simulation of the probability flow distribution for these fluctuations of the load, represented in the form of discrete sample values of the active power obtained with the use of the analytical Monte-Carlo method, and real data measurements of their values in the network under examination were compared.Π ΡΡΡΠ΅ΡΡΠ²ΡΡΡΠ΅ΠΉ ΠΏΡΠ°ΠΊΡΠΈΠΊΠ΅ Π΄Π»Ρ Π°Π½Π°Π»ΠΈΠ·Π° ΠΈ ΡΠΏΡΠ°Π²Π»Π΅Π½ΠΈΡ ΡΠ΅ΠΆΠΈΠΌΠ°ΠΌΠΈ ΡΠ½Π΅ΡΠ³ΠΎΡΠΈΡΡΠ΅ΠΌ Π² ΠΎΡΠ½ΠΎΠ²Π½ΠΎΠΌ ΠΈΡΠΏΠΎΠ»ΡΠ·ΡΡΡΡΡ Π΄Π΅ΡΠ΅ΡΠΌΠΈΠ½ΠΈΡΡΠΈΡΠ΅ΡΠΊΠΈΠ΅ ΠΏΠΎΠ΄Ρ

The paper contains an algorithm for numerical experiment and computer modelling of ferroresonance and switching overvoltages having cumulative character and protection against these overvoltages. Possibilities of the proposed algorithm are illustrated with restriction of both overvoltages by means of a common device which is based on voltage supply to secondary winding of a voltage transformer from an auxiliary source of a switch-gear.ΠΡΠΈΠ²ΠΎΠ΄ΠΈΡΡΡ Π°Π»Π³ΠΎΡΠΈΡΠΌ Π΄Π»Ρ ΡΠΈΡΠ»Π΅Π½Π½ΠΎΠ³ΠΎ ΡΠΊΡΠΏΠ΅ΡΠΈΠΌΠ΅Π½ΡΠ° ΠΈ ΠΊΠΎΠΌΠΏΡΡΡΠ΅ΡΠ½ΠΎΠ³ΠΎ ΠΌΠΎΠ΄Π΅Π»ΠΈΡΠΎΠ²Π°Π½ΠΈΡ ΡΠ΅ΡΡΠΎΡΠ΅Π·ΠΎΠ½Π°Π½ΡΠ½ΡΡ

United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization and International Atomic Energy Agency THE ABDUS SALAM INTERNATIONAL CENTRE FOR THEORETICAL PHYSICS CHAOS SYNCHRONIZATION IN TIME-DELAYED SYSTEMS WITH PARAMETER MISMATCHES AND VARIABLE DELAY
Abstract We investigate synchronization between two unidirectionally linearly coupled chaotic nonidentical time-delayed systems and show that parameter mismatches are of crucial importance to achieve synchronization. We establish that independent of the relation between the delay time in the coupled systems and the coupling delay time, only retarded synchronization with the coupling delay time is obtained. We show that with parameter mismatch or without it neither complete nor anticipating synchronization occurs. We derive existence and stability conditions for the retarded synchronization manifold. We demonstrate our approach using examples of the Ikeda and Mackey Glass models. Also for the first time we investigate chaos synchronization in time-delayed systems with variable delay time and find both existence and sufficient stability conditions for the retarded synchronization manifold with the coupling-delay lag time.
