    The Relationship Between Social Support and Resilience in Qur'an Memorizing at Santri SMP ISR in Malang City

    This study aimed to determine the relationship between social support and resilience in Islamic students who memorize the Qur'an at Junior High School ISR Malang City. The sample consisted of 110 students who were in the process of memorizing the Qur'an. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of two scales, namely the social support scale and the resilience scale. The social support scale, called the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), consisted of 12 items, and was developed by Zimet et al. and adapted by Eva & Bisri. The resilience scale, called the Adolescent Resilience Scale, consisted of 21 items, and was developed by Oshio et al. and adapted by the researchers. Data were analyzed using Pearson's product-moment correlation, resulting in a correlation coefficient of 0.675 (p < 0.05) which fell into the high and unidirectional categories. The results of this study therefore indicated a relationship between social support and resilience in Islamic students who memorize the Qur'an at SMP ISR Malang.     Perbedaan Stres dan Harga Diri Guru Ditinjau dari Status Sekolah RSBI dan Non RSBI

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan stres dan harga diri guru ditinjau dari status sekolah RSBI dan Non RSBI. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 60 guru, dengan rincian 30 guru RSBI dan 30 guru Non RSBI. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah skala stres dan skala harga diri.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan stres guru ditinjau dari status sekolah RSBI dan Non RSBI (p = 0,973 > 0,05), tidak ada perbedaan harga diri guru ditinjau dari status sekolah RSBI dan Non RSBI (p = 0,182 > 0,05), serta tidak ada perbedaan stres dan harga diri guru ditinjau dari status sekolah RSBI dan Non RSBI (p = 0,396 > 0,05).Disarankan untuk peneliti selanjutnya memperbanyak subjek penelitian dan dilakukan diberbagai kota atau kabupaten. Bagi guru Non RSBI, meskipun tidak ada tuntutan seperti yang disyaratkan untuk guru RSBI dapat lebih meningkatkan kompetensinya dengan mengikuti seminar, workshop, pelatihan, diklat, dan kursus yang berkaitan dengan tugas profesionalnya

    The Role of the Bystander Effect on Body Shaming Intensity in Psychology Students in Malang City

    Body shaming is when the form of one's body is criticized, either intentionally or not. Body shaming is considered a form of verbal bullying. In body shaming situations, there are actors, victims, and bystanders. A bystander can be an amplifier for the actors to keep carrying out the body shaming. This is called the bystander effect and it occurs when bystanders keep silent and do not support the victim of the body shaming. Body shaming is found commonly on university campuses. Psychology students are no exception, even though they are assumed to possess sensitivity and understanding of body shaming. This study aimed to examine the role of the bystander effect on the intensity of body shaming. A quantitative descriptive correlation approach was used and the research instruments employed were the bystander effect scale and the intensity of body shaming scale. 100 psychology students in Malang city participated. Simple linear regression was used to analyze the data. The results indicated that the bystander effect played a significant role in the intensity of body shaming. The contribution of the bystander effect variable to the body shaming intensity variable was 5.3%. Keywords: body shaming, bystander effect, student

    Family Dysfunction and Depressive Tendencies in Adolescents

    Depressive tendencies describe the extent to which a person experiences symptoms of depression. Depression is defined as a psychological condition in which a person experiences deep negative feelings. The onset of depression symptoms can be caused by several factors, one of which is environmental factors. Family can be an environmental factor that affects the psychological well-being of individuals. Families that do not carry out their roles well can be referred to as a dysfunctional family. Adolescence marks the transition from childhood to adulthood. During this period, individuals have a higher prevalence of depression. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between family dysfunction and depressive tendencies among adolescents in Malang City. The research was conducted with a correlational quantitative approach. 114 subjects were recruited. Data were collected using the Family Assessment Device General Functioning Scale and the Depression Tendency Scale. The results showed that generally, respondents had moderate depressive tendencies, with a mean score of 94.64. Results related to family dysfunction showed a family mean score of 2.1498. This figure indicated that on average the families functioned poorly. This research revealed that there was a significant positive correlation between the two variables with r = 0.626, where the higher the level of family dysfunction, the greater the tendency for depression.
