    Peningkatan Mutu Minyak Jelantah Menggunakan Adsorben Zeolit dan Reaktor Sistem Fluid Fixed Bed

    - Investigation of increasing waste cooking oil quality have been done using H-zeolite as an adsorbent and fluid fixed bed reactor which was operated in a various temperatures. H-zeolite adsorbent was prepared through physical and chemical treatments as follows : washing, acid, calcination and oxidation. The characterization of this adsorbent covered cations contain (Pb, Cu, Zn, Na, K, Ca and Fe) using AAS, Si/Al ratio using AAS, surface area spesific, pore volume and pore diameter using surface area analyzer NOVA 1000 and acidity using gravimetric method with amonia adsorption. Quality parametric of cooking oil that was investigated covered water contain, acid and peroxide value and density. Waste cooking oil as a sample was cooking oil which have been used for frying kerupuk, tempe and tahu three times. Fifty milliliter waste cooking oil was flowed throught 10 g H-zeolite adsorbent in fluid fixed bed reactor which was operated at various temperatures (50, 70, 90, 110 oC). The oil was placed in the bottle to be analyzed. The results of this research showed that the adsorpstion process for increasing quality of waste cooking oil using H-zeolite adsorbent and fluid fixed bed reactor could reduce the water contain, acid and peroxide value and density.     Conversion 9-Methyl Octadecene to 1-Octadecanol

    The investigations of methyl oleate (methyl 9-octadecenoate) to convert 1-octadecanol, has been done. The conversion was carried out using ZSiA catalysts and fixed bed reactor that was operated at 400, 450, and 500 oC. ZSiA catalyst was prepared by washing zeolite with aquadest, followed by dipping in HCl 2M solution, adding Na2SiO3 5% b/b, dipping in NH4Cl 2M, calcination at 500 oC under nitrogen with flow rate of 20 mL/min for 2 hours, oxydation under oxygen flow rate of 20 mL/min. Characterization of the catalyst included determination of metal content using AAS, acidity using gravimetric method, surface area using Gas Sorption Analyzer NOVA 1000, and crystallinity using XRD. The fixed bed reactor was filled by catalyst and heated up to 400 oC under hydrogen flow rate of 20 mL/min. Then the feed (methyl oleate or methyl 9-octadecenoate) in evaporator was heated up to 400 oC under hydrogen flow rate of 20 mL/min. The reaction product was collected in glass tube and analyzed using GC-MS. Catalytic hydrogenation of methyl oleate produced 87,21% of 1-octadecanol as major product. 1-octadecanol product decreased significantly by the increase of hydrogen flow rate from 20 to 60 mL/min and for 5 to 15 grams catalysts

    The purpose of the research was to identify the infestation of Fasciola sp on Bali cows in the different management systems. The research was done on June up to July 2007 at Tanjung Rambutan village, Kampar and BPPV Regional 0, Buldt Tinggi.Feces of 60 Bali cows from Tanjung Rambutan village were collected. The qualification of the cows are(1) the age should be more than 1.5 years old, (2) female and (3) free from wonn drugs. The 60 cows used in the research consist of 50 cows which were cared extensively and 10 cows intensively. The samples of feces were collected from the rectum, and examined for Fasciola sp eggs using the sedimentation test (Uji End4p). The data was analyzed using Chi Square method.The results of the research indicated that infestation of Fasciola sp on Bali cows were lower in the intensively farming than extensively. The laboratory test showed that 92% (46 samples) of Ball Cows which were cared extensively, infested by Fasciola sp eggs and 8% (4 samples) of them were negative. From 10 samples of Bali cows which were, 1 sample (10%) positively infected by theJasciola sp and 9 samples (90%) were negative

    Penelitian Awal Tentang Penggunaan Consol Fiber Steel Sebagai Campuran Pada Balok Beton Bertulang

    Dalam dunia konstruksi, balok beton bertulang adalah barang yang sering kita jumpai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan consol fiber steel pada campuran beton yang digunakan pada balok beton bertulang. Serat baja ini mempunyai beberapa tipe, namun untuk penelitian ini kita menggunakan serat baja dengan tipe hooked. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan 2 jenis percobaan, yaitu pengujian kuat tekan dan momen nominal beton yang menggunakan campuran serat consol fiber steel ini. Kuat tekan dan momen nominal beton dilakukan pengujian pada 7, 14, dan 28 hari. Dari hasil kuat tekan dan momen nominal yang didapatkan, kita membandingkannya dengan harga untuk mencari efisiensi dari penggunaan serat baja tersebut. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa untuk kuat tekan, beton dengan jumlah kadar serat 0,75% merupakan campuran yang paling efisien dengan hasil 18,90 MPa. Sedangkan untuk momen nominal, beton dengan jumlah kadar serat 0,5% merupakan campuran yang paling efisien dengan hasil 1,47 kNm. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa penambahan consol fiber steel pada campuran beton dapat meningkatkan kekuatan beton dilihat dari kuat tekan maupun momen nominalnya

    Memorizing Bible Verses with the Association Method of Quantum Learning in Sunday School

    In the world of teaching, it takes a variety of creativity, so that students benefit from the learning process. The same thing happened in the Sunday School class held by the church. The core material is certainly from the Bible. This includes memorizing Bible verses from certain parts. Students are required to memorize the verses. Many face failure in the memorization process. They have difficulty remembering the verses. However, there is still an interesting method to make it easier for children to memorize Bible verses, namely by association methods found in quantum learning. The problem is whether the Sunday school teachers understood this association method? With descriptive research methods have found a solution that in the process of memorizing with this association method, can increase the number of verses memorized. This can be shown from the results of evaluations that have been carried out, there is an increase in the number of memorized verses that can be memorized by Sunday school students, which increases to 20 words or about 4%

    Diagnosis dan dukungan perawatan merupakan salah satu faktor utama dalam hal perawatan kesehatan. Metode tradisional diagnosis secara tatap muka antara pasien dan dokter dalam rangka monitoring dan menjaga kestabilan kesehatan sudah mulai sulit untuk dilakukan. Hal ini dikarenakan banyaknya hambatan-hambatan yang muncul, baik hambatan finansial, geografi, dan waktu. Teknologi informasi khususnya telekomunikasi dapat membantu mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, yang secara tidak langsung akan dapat membantu pengembangan sistem kesehatan di sebuah negara. Salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan adalah penerapan m-Health pada sistem kesehatan. m-Health didefinisikan sebagai sebuah penggunaan mobile communications and network technologies dalam melakukan perawatan kesehatan. Pola penerapannya menggunakan mobile phone sebagai point-of-care device. Hanya saja, penerapan sebuah teknologi baru dalam suatu negara tidak dapat begitu saja dilakukan. Terdapat faktor-faktor yang perlu diperhatikan agar penerapan teknologi baru dapat berjalan secara optimal. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kelayakan penerapan m-Health untuk diagnosis dan dukungan perawatan kesehatan pada negara berkembang dengan menggunakan studi kasus negara Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metodologi causal comparative terhadap penerapan m-Health di negara maju. Analisis kelayakan akan dilakukan terhadap empat aspek, yakni aspek ekonomi, teknologi, sosial, serta organisasi. Diagnosis and treatment support is one of the main factors in health care. Traditional methods of diagnosis in person between patients and physicians in order to monitor and maintain health stability is getting hard to do. This is because many of the obstacles that arise, whether financial constraints, geography, and time. Telecommunications in particular information technology can help overcome these problems, which will indirectly help the development of health systems in the country. One solution that can be used is the application of m-Health in the health system. m-Health is defined as the use of mobile communications and network technologies in the conduct of health care. Pattern application is using mobile phones as point-of-care device. Only, the application of a new technology in a country can not simply be done. There are factors that need to be taken to ensure that the application of new technologies can run optimally. The study aims to determine the extent to which the feasibility of applying the m-Health for the diagnosis and support for health care in developing countries by using a case study of Indonesia.     CP Asymmetry of B→Xsl+l−B\to X_sl^+l^- in Low Invariant Mass Region

    I analyzed the CP asymmetry of B→Xsl+l−B\to X_sl^+l^- based on model-independent analysis which includes twelve independent four Fermi operators. The CP asymmetry is suppressed in the Standard Model, however, if some new physics make it much larger, the present or the next generation B factories may catch the CP violation in this decay mode. In this paper, we studied the correlation of the asymmetry and the branching ratio, and then we will find only a type of interactions can be enlarge the asymmetry.     A Systematic Analysis of the Lepton Polarization Asymmetries in the Rare B Decay, B -> X_s\tau^+\tau^-

    The most general model-independent analysis of the lepton polarization asymmetries in the rare B decay, \Bstt, is presented. We present the longitudinal, normal and transverse polarization asymmetries for the τ+\tau^+ and τ−\tau^-, and combinations of them, as functions of the Wilson coefficients of twelve independent four-Fermi interactions, ten of them local and two nonlocal. These procedures will tell us which type of operators contributes to the process. And it will be very useful to pin down new physics systematically, once we have the experimental data with high statistics and a deviation from the Standard Model is found.Comment: 24 pages, 8 figures, LaTe

    Longitudinal polarization asymmetry of leptons in the pure leptonic B decays

    Longitudinal lepton polarization asymmetry in B_q -> l l (q = d, s$ and l = e, mu, tau) decays is investigated. The analysis is done in a general manner by using the effective operators approach. It is shown that the longitudinal lepton polarization asymmetry would provide a direct search for the scalar and pseudoscalar type interactions, which are induced in all variants of Higgs-doublet models.Comment: 7 page
