Systemic production of foreign peptides on the particle surface of tobacco mosaic virus

AbstractBy using a new tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) vector [Hamamoto, H., et al. (1993) Bio/Technology, 11, 930–932], we have constructed TMV particles which present three different kinds of epitopes, two of them from influenza virus hemagglutinin (HA), and one from human immunodeficiency virus type I (HIV-I) envelope protein, on the surface of the particles. Each of these TMV particles reacted with each anti-peptide antiserum. These results suggest that this TMV vector can be used as an antigen presentation system

Toward the Cross-Institutional Data Integration From Shibboleth Federated LMS

    Get PDF
Through this study, we aim to examine a method for data integration in shared Learning Management System (LMS) in authentication federation. We proposed a method of transmitting ePTID and learning data with user’s consent as a method for data integration across institutions. The method is compared with the other existing methods to realize the shared LMS. We discuss the suitable method for next version of GakuNinMoodle and conclude that our requirements are not fully satisfied by a single method

The Separable Kernel of Nucleon-Nucleon Interaction in the Bethe-Salpeter Approach

The dispersion relations for nucleon-nucleon (NN) T-matrix in the framework of Bethe-Salpeter equation for two spin one-half particle system and with separable kernel of interaction are considered in the paper. The developed expressions are applied for construction of the separable kernel of interaction for S partial-waves in singlet and triplet channels. We calculate the low energy scattering parameters and the phase shifts and also the deuteron binding energy with the separable interaction. The approach can be easily extended to higher partial-waves for NN-scattering and other reactions (anti N N-, pi N-scattering).Comment: RevTex 4 style, 9 pages, 1 figur

Spontaneous epidural hematoma: report of two cases

    Get PDF
Spontaneous epidural hematomas are rarely described in literature. They are associated with infectious diseases of the skull, coagulation disorders, vascular malformations of the dura-mater and metastasis to the skull. The authors report two cases of spontaneous epidural hematoma of different etiologies, and study parameters of hemostasis.Os hematomas epidurais espontâneos são raramente descritos na literatura. Estão associados a doenças infecciosas do crânio, distúrbios da coagulação, malformações vasculares da dura-máter e metástases na calota craniana. Os autores relatam dois casos de hematomas epidurais espontâneos de diferentes etiologias e discutem aspectos relacionados à hemostasia.45345
