3D Large Scale Physical Modelling for Studying Interactive Drawing and Drawpoint Spacing in Block Caving Mines

In block caving mines, the gravity flow of caved (broken) ore controls the amount of valuable material recovered and the extent to which it is diluted by caved waste rock. In addition, it also dictates the spacing, and thus the number of drawpoint required, which has a large impact on capital requirements for development of the mine. However, despite the large amount of research that has been carried out in the gravity flow field, 3D simulations of ore recovery and waste rock dilution can still not be done with confidence for conditions in a specific mine. Some mathematical models, in form of computer programs, have been developed. However these remain unvalidated due to the lack of validating data. It would be best to obtain this data from full scale tests. However experience has shown full scale tests to be very expensive, extremely time consuming and often the results from these tests have not yielded results that could be used effectively for the development of generally valid modelling approaches. Therefore, physical modelling remains as the only reliable way to do this task. It is the objective of this paper to describe the best method of physical modelling in order to produce reliable results which could be used to improve block caving mine design and validate mathematical models

Determinants Of Online Shopping In Manado

Retailers utilize online media to reach more potential customers. Internet connects the retailer and customers without any geographic location boundaries. Internet growth has a positive impact for business world. There is a new shopping method in non-store shopping as people can buy products or services without having to travel to the outlets like traditional retail does. With the increase of online retailers on internet world, online shopping became popular. The objective of this research is to know the factors that drive people in Manado to purchase online. Theories supporting of research are online shopping and its factors. Population of this research is people in Manado who ever made online purchasing with sample as many as 100 respondents. Confirmatory factor analyze were used to analyze the twenty variables in this research. The results and conclusions are from twenty variables observed, sixteen variables form six factors that drive people to shop online. Those factors are service quality, perceived security, shopping intention, relative advantage, brick and click, and internet knowledge. There are four variables that do not significantly influence shoppers to shop online, namely: payment option, web design, research, and providing good information.Keywords: online shoppin

Analisis Transformational Leadership terhadap Financial Performance melalui Employee Engagement dan Job Satisfaction pada Perusahaan Perbankan di Surabaya

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara transformational leadership terhadap financial performance melalui employee engagement dan job satisfaction pada Perusahaan perbankan di Surabaya. Peneletian ini dilakukan sebab di Indonesia masih belum banyak peneliti yang mengangkat topik ini serta untuk mengembangkan variabel baru dalam penelitian yang sudah ada Variabel bebas adalah pengaplikasian dari Transformational Leadership. Variabel bebas diukur dengan menggunakan pendekatan definisi operasional dan indikator empirik. Variabel terikat adalah Financial Performance. pada sebuah Perusahaan. Serta terdapat variabel antara yaitu Employee Engagement dan Job Satisfaction sebagai perantara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh dari hasil penyebaran kuesioner pada karyawan Perusahaan perbankan di Surabaya. Sampel penelitiannya adalah Perusahaan yang menerapkan transformational leadership. Dan berdasarkan hasil perkalian item-item pertanyaan variabel yang diamati dengan 4 atau 5 kali ditetapkan sampel sejumlah 310 karyawan pada 31 Perusahaan perbankan yang menerapkan transformational leadership. Penelitian ini menggunkan teknik path modelling dengan alat bantu PLS. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan transformational leadership memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap employee engagement dan job satisfaction serta pengaruh yang diberikan pun signifikan. Employee engagement dan job satisfaction juga memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap financial performance ratio. tetapi transformationa leadership tidak memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap financial performance

Pengaruh Latihan Zumba Terhadap Kadar Hemoglobin

: Hemoglobin is a conjugated protein, function to transport oxygen and carbon dioxide. Hemoglobin levels could be influence of some factors such as gender, iron (Fe) and exercise. Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance workout first developed in Columbia. This study have a purpose to find out the influence of zumba exercise on hemoglobin levels. This was an experimental study with one group pre and post test design, samples included 20 female students year 2013 Medical Faculty of Nursing Science Sam Ratulangi University who met the inclusion criterias. Data were analyzed by paired t-test using SPSS. There were 20 subjects in this study. The results showed that there was a decrease of hemoglobin level after zumba exercise for two weeks. Conclusion: Decrease of hemoglobin levels can caused from some factors that were iron loss during exercise through sweat, destruction on hemoglobin because mechanic stress on muscles and sport anemia

Pembelajaran Ctl Berbasis Inkuiri Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Pada Materi Fluida Statis

Rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep fisika diakibatkan oleh kebiasaan siswa menghafal rumus-rumus, dan kurang maksimalnya dilakukan kegiatan praktikum yang merupakan penunjang pembelajaran fisika sehingga pemahaman konsep siswa masih jauh dari harapan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode pre-eksperimen dengan The Randomized Pre-test Post-test, Control Group Design yang dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Tanah Pasir Aceh Utara tahun akademik 2013/2014, yang terdiri dari 30 orang siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan 2 (dua) instrumen; 1) Tes untuk melihat peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi fluida statis; dan 2) Angket motivasi untuk mengetahui sejauh mana motivasi belajar siswa setelah belajar dengan CTL berbasis Inkuiri. Uji normalitas dilakukan untuk melihat kenormalan data dan menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal.Pembelajaran dengan CTL berbasis Inkuiri dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan motivasi belajar siswapada materi fluida statis, tingginya perolehan skor N-Gain kategori tinggi mencapai 80% untuk indikator interpretasi, 70% untuk indikator translasi dan ekstrapolasi. Peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa mencapai 46,7%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran CTL berbasis Inkuiri terhadap motivasi belajar sisw

According to Indonesia Association of Service Provider (APJII) survey in 2014, the internet user in Indonesia increased up to around 88 million. This number expresses that the use of the internet to seek business franchise information will increase as well. The increase of internet using should be followed by the quality of franchisor's website. The franchisor's website will relate to system quality, information quality and service quality (DeLone and McLean, 2003). This research uses SEM LISREL to see the loading factors of each indicator impact in variables and website quality variables impact to intention to purchase franchise.
