Age Peculiarities of Communicative Competence Development in Ontogenesis

У статті проаналізовано вікові особливості розвитку комунікативної компе тентності в онтогенезі. Комунікативна компетентність − базове поняття для розуміння соціальної комунікації. Сама компетентність у мові є результатом розвитку її застосування, і лише внаслідок активного відображення дійсності й активного спілкування в дитини виникає розуміння мови. Схарактеризовано стратегічну комунікативну компетентність дітей у симетричній та асиметричній мовленнєвих ситуаціях переконання. У спонукальній мовленнєвій ситуації переконання стратегії виступають як стратегії гнучкого типу в асиметричних ситуаціях спілкування, коли ініціатором бесіди виступає дорослий, і як стратегії гнучкого й м’якого типів, коли це діти/підлітки. Стратегія переконання полягає в тому, щоб переконати співрозмовника прийняти певний погляд, переконати адресата в його правоті. Ця стратегія реалізується через універсально-вікові тактики повтору, удаваного визнання мовцем авторитетної для адресата людини, спростування слів адресата. Преферентно-віковими для дорослих є тактики «урівнювання», виправдовування дій третьої особи, тактика умовних речень, заборони дії, підхвату ключового слова. The article reveals the age peculiarities of development of communicative competence in ontogenesis. The notion of communicative competence is defined. Formation and development of conversational competence of a child is influenced by family, school and peers. Communicative competence presupposes four types of skills and knowledge: grammar, sociolinguistic, discoursive and strategic. Strategic communicative competence of children is analyzed in the symmetrical (in which age, social status and social role of interlocutors are equal) and asymmetrical speech situations of convince (in which communicants are not equal in the abovementioned parameters). Strategy is understood as speech/ not speech actions that are aimed at reaching communicative goal and are flexible in the asymmetrical speech situations and both soft and flexible in the symmetrical speech situations. The strategy to persuade the interlocutor is realized by the age-neutral tactic of repetition and tactic of refuting; age-preferential tactics of counterbalancing, «catching» the key word, prohibition and using conditionals is utilized by adults in asymmetric situations

Age Differentiation of Discourse Strategies and Tactics in English Family Discourse.

Статтю присвячено вивченню мовленнєвої поведінки представників різних вікових груп й аналізу стратегій і тактик сімейного дискурсу, зумовлених віком комунікантів. Стратегії варіюють у діапазоні: жорсткі, м’які й гнучкі. Під час системного аналізу сімейного дискурсу виявлено універсально-вікові, преферентно-вікові та ексклюзивно-вікові мовленнєві тактики представників різних вікових груп. Виділено 14 найбільш частотних мовленнєвих ситуацій у межах сімейного дискурсу: незгода, звинувачення, переконання, погроза, попередження, прохання, докір, наказ, скарга, запрошення, поздоровлення, комплімент, знайомство та обговорення планів (ситуації розташовані в списку за ступенем частотності, від найбільш частотних до найменш частотних). Аналіз використання тактико-стратегічного арсеналу дорослими й дітьми дав підстави зробити висновок про те, що вибір стратегії і тактики залежить від типу мовленнєвої ситуації.The article deals with the study of speech behavior of different age group representatives and with the analysis of discourse strategies and tactics in English familial discourse. After an exploration of young and elderly speech peculiarities, age neutral, age preferred and age exclusive peculiarities are proposed. A proper overview of the strategies and tactics in symmetrical and asymmetrical family relations is given. In its framework discourse strategies are classified as firm, soft and flexible and tactics as age preferred and age neutral. Discourse strategies and tactics determined by the age of the interlocutors are investigated in the 14 most characteristic speech situations. The choice of the strategy by children and adults is defined by speech situations which are classified as dominating and neutral.
