Deriving flash floods in the case of simulated precipitations. The present study sets to determine the historical flash-floods on the Petriș watershed making use of the implemented mathematical models in a Hydrological Modeling System. In order to simulate the 1%, 2% and 10% exceedance probability flash-floods, the Intensity-Frequency-Duration (IDF) curves have been built on the basis of 22 years of precipitation records (1988-2009). They serve as input data together with the hydrological parameters identified by the means of a Geographic Information Systems. The results, computed mainly on the basis of the Soil Conservation Service (SCS) method, consist of hyetographs and hydrographs at the outlet of the main watershed, as well as to that of the ungauged tributaries of the Petriș River

Persprectives of identifying the factors that influence the manifestation of aggressive behavior in driver in traffic Summary. The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between psychological and socio-demographic factors and aggressive driving behavior. The study hypothesizes that there are significant differences in aggressive driving behavior among drivers based on socio-demographic factors and personality traits, and that anger is a significant predictor of aggressive driving behavior. The study will utilize a mixed methods research design to collect data from a diverse sample of participants through a structured questionnaire. The results will contribute to the existing literature on aggressive driving behavior and provide valuable information for the development of effective interventions. The study found that personality traits, particularly low levels of conscientiousness and agreeableness, as well as emotional instability, were indirectly related to aggressive driving behavior. It highlights the necessity of addressing the emotional and cognitive factors that contribute to aggressive driving behavior, rather than focusing solely on socio-demographic factor

Radar Climatology of hail in the Apuseni Mountains A newmethod for the assessment of large areas with frequent occurrence of hail in a finespatial resolution and its application for the Apuseni Mountains and their adjacentareas is presented. Due to the fine tempo-spatial resolution of the radar detection, the creation of radar climatology of the areas where the hail production conditionsare determined is imposed. With the help of two Doppler radars at Oradea andBobohalma, the area of interest is examined and spatial maps of the relativefrequency of hail contained in the clouds are made. Composite maps are made (bysuperimposing the two Doppler radar images from Oradea and Bobohalma) of theareas in which clouds with hail of different sizes occur

Psychological Theories Of Aggression. Critical Perspective

The present article, which is completely theoretical, with no attempts at empirical verification, presents several theories of aggression and aggressive behaviour, in an attempt to offer a critical perspective on them. Following G. Moser’s classification, four major conceptions regarding aggressive behaviour shall be placed under analysis: instinctual theories – consider that aggression is a manifestation of an innate impulse or instinct; reactive theories – consider aggressive behaviour as a reaction to frustrating, unpleasant situations; theories of learning – according to which aggressive behaviour is a behaviour acquired through different mechanisms, such as learning through imitation and / or observation; cognitive approach – which emphasizes the internal central cognitive processes inserted between stimuli and the behavioural response of the individual. By addressing the main theoretical points, this paper deals with classical theories of aggression and their definition of aggression, displaying the limitations and shortcomings from the author’s perspective without addressing also their relevance to clinical practice
