BEYOND MIRACLES: THE DISCOVERY OF THE UNIFIED FIELD AND ITS PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS TO PREVENT CRIME, TERRORISM, AND INTERNATIONAL CONFLICT
The lawst, most profound discoveries of quantum physics provide deep insight into ultimate reality, and how we create our own day-to-day reality. \'('e must now harness this cuning-edge knowledge to create a peaceful, harmoniolls, more enlightened world. For this purpose, intellectual discllssion is not enough. Only direct, repeatahle experience of ultimate reality can create the deep, lasting transformations in the individual and sockty so urgently needed today. Recent breakthroughs in quantum physics reveal the ultimate reality: the "unified field"-the field of universal intelligence at the hasis of mind and matter. The unified field is the fountainhead of all the laws of nature-the source of all the order displayed throughout the vast cosmos. Human awareness can directly experience and access this field of universal intelligence using advanced meditation techniques derived from the ancient Vedic wisdom. This fundamental experience of "pure consciousness" represents a fourth major state of consciousness, distinct from waking. dreaming and deep sleep. In this higher state of consciousness, human awareness becomes aligned with cosmic intelligence: thoughts and actions become powerfully dfective-life supporting and globally enriching. New research reveals that enlighrenment, the full developmcnr of human potential. is our birthright-a spontaneous byproduct of integrated brain functioning. New research also reveals the existence of longrange "field effects" of consciollsness generated through collective meditation. Exact Supersymmetric Amplitude for \kkb\/ and \bbb\/ Mixing
We present the most general supersymmetric amplitude for \kkb\/ and \bbb\/
mixing resulting from gluino box diagrams. We use this amplitude to place
general constraints on the magnitude of flavor-changing squark mass mixings,
and compare these constraints to theoretical predictions both in and beyond the
Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model.Comment: 11 pages plus 2 figures available on request, MIU-THP-92/6
Cosmic ray antimatter from supersymmetric dark matter
In this paper we study the antiproton, positron and gamma-ray fluxes resulting from the annihilation of supersymmetric dark matter in our galactic halo. We show that the requirement of closure imposed by inflationary cosmologies constrains the supersymmetric dark matter to be either a relatively pure photino eigenstate or a relatively pure higgsino eigenstate, or possibly a scalar neutrino with a mass less than 4 GeV. The photino choice can lead to observable fluxes when sfermion masses are [lsim] 50-60 GeV. Such a scenario is testable via the radiative production of photinos at PEP and PETRA. The higgsino scenario leads to observable fluxes independent of sfermion masses, provided H01|0>/H02|0> = v1/v2 [gsim] 2. In constrast, sneutrino dark matter annihilates almost entirely into neutrinos, resulting in a monochromatic neutrino flux that is probably unobservable.Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/26293/1/0000378.pd
Perhaps scalar neutrinos are the lightest supersymmetric partners
We consider the possibility that the scalar partners of the neutrinos are the least massive supersymmetric partners, and show that this alternative is compatible with cosmological constraints, which put a significant lower bound on photino masses but not on masses. Various consequences are examined: the photon counting rate for 0--> increases [Gamma](Z0) by about 0.25 GeV; may be enhanced; the decay <inl may be detectable; there can be additional contributions to the rare decay <inl; restrictions on gluino masses, which depend on photinos interacting before they decay, have to be re-examined; scalar neutrinos have suitable characteristics as candidates for dark matter in the universe. We discuss one currently fashionable class of models that can predicr a light .Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/24754/1/0000176.pd
Using Gauge Coupling Unification and Proton Decay to Test Minimal Supersymmetric SU(5)
We derive a one-loop expression, including all thresholds, for the mass of
the proton decay mediating color triplets, , in minimal supersymmetric
SU(5). The result for does not depend on other heavy thresholds or
extra representations with SU(5) invariant masses which might be added to the
minimal model. We numerically correct our result to two-loop accuracy. Choosing
inputs to maximize and , within experimental limits on the
inputs and a naturalness bound, we derive a strict bound
. We discuss how this bound will change as experimental limits
improve. Measurements of from deep inelastic scattering and the
charmonium spectrum are below the bound by more than
. We briefly review several ideas of how to resolve the discrepancy
between these low values of and the determinations of
from LEP event shapes.Comment: 10 pages (2 figures not included, available upon request),

Supersymmetric Time Reversal Violation in Semileptonic Decays of Charged Mesons
We provide a general analysis of time reversal violation arising from
misalignment between quark and squark mass eigenstates. In particular, we focus
on the possibility of large enhancement effects due to the top quark mass. For
semileptonic decays of the charged mesons, , , and , the transverse polarization of
the lepton is a -odd observable that is of great experimental
interest. It is noted that under favorable choice of parameters,
in decay can be detectable at the ongoing KEK
experiment and it holds a promising prospect for discovery at the proposed BNL
experiment. Furthermore, in decay could well be
within the reach of factories, but in decay is
not large enough for detection at the proposed -charm factory.Comment: LaTex, 14 pages, 2 figures, minor changes, version to appear in Phys.
