Behaviour of Charged Collapsing Fluids after Hydrostatic Equilibrium in R^n Gravity

The purpose of this paper is to study the transport equation and its coupling with Maxwell equation in the framework of R^n gravity. Using Muller-Israel-Stewart theory for the conduction of dissipative fluids, we analyze the temperature, heat flux, viscosity and thermal conductivity in the scenario of relaxation time. All these thermodynamical variables are appeared in the form of a single factor whose influence is discussed on the evolution of relativistic model for the heat conducting collapsing star.Comment: Accepted for publication in European Physical Journal

Pembangunan CD interaktif pengajaran dan pembelajaran bagi mata pelajaran kemahiran hidup bersepadu tingkatan 2

Kajian ini dijalankan bertujuan untuk membangun dan membuat penilaian ke atas CD Interaktif melalui penggunaan pendekatan strategi pembelajaran tutorial bagi tajuk Ternakan Ikan Air Tawar. CD Interaktif ini disediakan mengikut sukatan pelajaran bagi mata pelajaran Kemahiran Hidup Bersepadu Tingkatan 2. CD Interaktif ini dibangunkan dengan menggunakan perisian Abobe Flash CS6 dengan berasaskan Model ADDIE. Pengujian Alfa dan pengujian Beta telah dilakukan dalam membangunkan CD Interaktif ini. Dalam kajian ini, teknik persampelan bertujuan digunakan dan seramai 3 orang pakar bidang serta 3 orang pakar media terlibat sebagai responden bagi menentukan kebolehfungsian CD Interaktif yang dibangunkan. Bagi mengenal pasti tahap kebolehgunaan CD Interaktif, seramai 103 orang pelajar tingakatan 2 terlibat sebagai responden kajian dengan mengisi borang soal selidik berskala Likert empat mata. Hasil dapatan kajian mendapati, ketiga-tiga orang pakar bidang dan pakar media bersetuju bahawa CD Interaktif ini telah menepati kriteria kebolehfungsian yang telah ditetapkan. Pelajar pula bersetuju bahawa tahap kebolehgunaan CD interaktif ini berada di tahap yang tinggi

Penguasaan kemahiran generik di kalangan graduan hospitaliti di politeknik : satu kajian berkenaan keperluan industri perhotelan, persepsi pensyarah dan pelajar

Kajian yang dijalankan ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti kepentingan kemahiran generik mengikut keperluan industri perhotelan di Malaysia dengan persepsi pensyarah dan persepsi pelajar Jabatan Hospitaliti. Oleh kerana matlamat kurikulum pendidikan kini adalah untuk melahirkan graduan yang dapat memenuhi keperluan pihak industri, maka kajian ini dijalankan untuk menilai hubungan di antara keperluan industri perhotelan di Malaysia dengan persepsi pensyarah dan pelajar Jabatan Hospitaliti di Politeknik. Terdapat 13 kemahiran generik yang diperolehi daripada Kementerian Pelajaran dan Latihan Ontario (1997) dijadikan sebagai skop kepada instrumen kajian. Responden kajian terdiri daripada tiga pihak utama iaitu industri perhotelan di Malaysia yang melibatkan 40 buah hotel yang diwakili oleh MAH Chapter dan jawatankuasa dalam Malaysian Associated of Hotel (MAH), pensyarah Unit Hotel dan Katering dan pelajar semester akhir Diploma Hotel dan Katering di Politeknik Johor Bahru, Johor dan Politeknik Merlimau, Melaka. Kajian rintis yang dijalankan menunjukkan nilai Alpha Cronbach pada 0.8781. Data yang diperolehi dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensi dengan menggunakan perisian Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) versi 11.5. Melalui dapatan kajian, satu senarai berkenaan kemahiran generik yang diperlukan oleh industri perhotelan telah dapat dihasilkan. Selain itu, senarai kemahiran generik menurut persepsi pensyarah dan juga persepsi pelajar turut dihasilkan. Hasil statistik dan graf garis yang diperolehi menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan di antara kemahiran generik yang diperlukan oleh industri perhotelan di Malaysia dengan kemahiran generik menurut persepsi pensyarah dan persepsi pelajar Politeknik. Dapatan analisis menggunakan korelasi Pearson mendapati bahawa tidak terdapat perhubungan yang signifikan di antara kemahiran generik yang diperlukan oleh industri perhotelan dengan persepsi pensyarah dan persepsi pelajar. Namun begitu, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan di antara persepsi pensyarah dengan persepsi pelajar berkenaan dengan amalan kemahiran generik di Politeknik

Use Of Recycle Ferric Chloride Extracted From Groundwater Treatment Plant Sludge In Thickening Of Municipal Sludge And Treatment Of Leachate

This study investigated the effectiveness of a coagulant, Recycled Ferric Chloride (RFC) for reused in thickening the municipal sludge and treating landfill leachate. The RFC is generated from sludge produced from a groundwater treatment plant through a digestion process. The study had been divided into two (2) phase. For both phases of the study, jar tests were conducted for the treatment process. In the jar test, coagulants such as alum, ferric chloride, ferrous sulphate and RFC were evaluated. In the first phase of the experimental study, jar tests were conducted on sludge obtained from a wastewater treatment plant. Settleability tests were conducted in the thickening process. The supernatant were then measured for chemical oxygen demand (COD), colour, and total suspended solids (TSS). Tests were conducted in triplicates. The raw sludge settling rate was found to be 2.4 cm/min. The optimum settling rates for alum, ferric chloride, ferrous sulphate and RFC was found to be 3.13 cm/min, 1.86 cm/min, 2.5 cm/min and 4.5 cm/min. RFC improved the settling rate by 88% and also removed colour, COD and TSS at 42%, 54% and 88%, respectively at the optimum settleability dosage. For the second phase of the experimental study, the jar tests were conducted on leachate obtained from Pulau Burung Landfill Site. The supernatant were then measured for chemical oxygen demand (COD), colour, and total suspended solids (TSS). RFC improved the colour and COD removed at 64% and 60% respectively at the optimum dosages. However further research need to be done on the suspended solid removal since the result shows that the suspended solid is increasing after the treatment process. Entrepreneurship is considered as a way out in overcoming the problem of limited employment opportunities and poverty faced by almost all countries, including Indonesia. This phenomenon occurs due to the low motivation and interest of the community to develop an entrepreneurial spirit (entrepreneurship). Based on this, Indonesia still needs to prepare drivers for economic development. The government in each country is obliged to encourage its young generation to build an entrepreneurial spirit, so that they are free from dependence on other parties. Recognizing the importance of working hard with the initial goal of self-prosperity, the field of entrepreneurship is an option that can be realized by all levels of society.
