Generalization of the model-independent Laurent-Pietarinen single-channel pole-extraction formalism to multiple channels
A method to extract resonance pole information from single-channel
partial-wave amplitudes based on a Laurent (Mittag-Leffler) expansion and
conformal mapping techniques has recently been developed. This method has been
applied to a number of reactions and provides a model-independent extraction
procedure which is particularly useful in cases where a set of amplitudes is
available only at descrete energies. This method has been generalized and
applied to the case of a multi-channel fit, where several sets of amplitudes
are analysed simultaneously. The importance of unitarity constraints is
discussed. The final result provides a powerful, model-independent tool for
analyzing partial-wave amplitudes of coupled or connected channels based
entirely on the concepts of analyticity and unitarity
Evidence for a negative-parity spin-doublet of nucleon resonances at 1.88\,GeV
Evidence is reported for two nucleon resonances with spin-parity
and at a mass just below 1.9\,GeV. The evidence is derived from a
coupled-channel analysis of a large number of pion and photo-produced
reactions. The two resonances are nearly degenerate in mass with two resonances
of the same spin but positive parity. Such parity doublets are predicted in
models claiming restoration of chiral symmetry in high-mass excitations of the
nucleon. Further examples of spin parity doublets are found in addition.
Alternatively, the spin doublet can be interpreted as member of the 56-plet
expected in the third excitation band of the nucleon. Implications for the
problem of the {\it missing resonances} are discussed.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figures, 4 tables, minor revisio
Eta and Etaprime Photoproduction on the Nucleon with the Isobar Model EtaMAID2018
The isobar model EtaMAID has been updated with new and high precision data
for eta and etaprime photoproduction on protons and neutrons from MAMI, ELSA,
GRAAL and CLAS. The background is described in a recently developed Regge-cut
model, and for the resonance part the whole list of nucleon resonances has been
investigated with 21 N* states contributing to eta photoproduction and 12 N*
states contributing to etaprime photoproduction. A new approach is discussed to
avoid double counting in the overlap region of Regge and resonances. A
comparison is done among four newly updated partial waves analyses for
observables and partial waves. Finally, the possibility of a narrow resonance
near W=1900 MeV is discussed, that would be able to explain unexpected energy
and angular dependence of observables in p(gamma, etaprime)p near etaprime
threshold.Comment: 31 pages, 29 figures, replaced with revised versio
Properties of baryon resonances from a multichannel partial wave analysis
Properties of nucleon and resonances are derived from a multichannel
partial wave analysis. The statistical significance of pion and photo-induced
inelastic reactions off protons are studied in a multichannel partial-wave
analysis.Comment: 12 pages, 8 Table
Computed tomography- (CT-) Analysis of Attachment loss in patients with bruxism and aggressive/chronic Periodontitis - retrospective data analysis
Relationship Between Morphological Characteristics and Dynamic Running Parameters in the Case of Boys Aged 10-12 years
The aim of the research is to determine the relationship between morphological characteristics and dynamic parameters of running in the case of boys aged 10-12 years. The study was conducted on a sample of 75 respondents, who are separated from the fourth-grade elementary school population. Morphological characteristics are measured by a set of fifteen variables: longitudinal dimensionality (3 variables), transversal dimensionality (4 variables), volume and body mass (4 variables), fatt tissue (4 variables), and body mass index. Dynamic parameters of running were estimated by measuring the passing time at 5m segments of the whole distance. Variables of dynamic running parameters have achieved statistically significant correlation with variables of transversal dimensionality, volume and body mass and fat tissue (p<0.05). Also, statistically significant correlation (p<0.01) of mean intensity was obtained between body mass index and all variables of dynamic running parameters. Based on the results of dynamic running parameters it can be concluded that the analyzed sample of boys aged 10-12 years is characterized by the following pattern of running structure at 50 meters: the acceleration phase lasts from the start to the fifteen meters section; stable running phase lasts from 15 to 40 meters, indicating that the maintenance length of the maximum speed level is 25 meters; and the deceleration phase of running lasts from 40 to 50 meters
Effects of Four-Month Exercise Program on Correction of Body Posture of Persons with Different Visual Impairment
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of a four-month specific exercise program on correcting the posture of persons with different visual impairment. The sample consisted of 20 elementary students with visual impairment diagnosis, 11 boys and 9 girls aged 9-14 (12±0.6). The classification of the examinees was performed according to the established degree of visual impairment, 10 blind persons and 10 partially sighted persons. The pupils voluntarily participated in the exercise program. The exercise program was structured of two phases: exercise on dryland and exercise in water. A total of 36 exercise units were completed during four months period. Seven tests were used to evaluate the body posture, based on the determination of segmental dimensions and the visual projection of the marked points. The contents of the program were performed with the aim of preventing and correcting the observed irregularities of the body posture. The t-test scores indicated statistically significant differences between two measurements (p<0.05, p<0.01). It can be concluded that elementary movements, performed through dryland and especially water exercises, had a good effect on correcting the body's posture of blind and partially sighted persons
Strange Hadron Spectroscopy with Secondary KL Beam in Hall D
Final version of the KLF Proposal [C12-19-001] approved by JLab PAC48. The intermediate version of the proposal was posted in arXiv:1707.05284 [hep-ex]. 103 pages, 52 figures, 8 tables, 324 references. Several typos were fixedWe propose to create a secondary beam of neutral kaons in Hall D at Jefferson Lab to be used with the GlueX experimental setup for strange hadron spectroscopy. The superior CEBAF electron beam will enable a flux on the order of , which exceeds the flux of that previously attained at SLAC by three orders of magnitude. The use of a deuteron target will provide first measurements ever with neutral kaons on neutrons. The experiment will measure both differential cross sections and self-analyzed polarizations of the produced , , , and hyperons using the GlueX detector at the Jefferson Lab Hall D. The measurements will span CM from to 0.95 in the range W = 1490 MeV to 2500 MeV. The new data will significantly constrain the partial wave analyses and reduce model-dependent uncertainties in the extraction of the properties and pole positions of the strange hyperon resonances, and establish the orbitally excited multiplets in the spectra of the and hyperons. Comparison with the corresponding multiplets in the spectra of the charm and bottom hyperons will provide insight into he accuracy of QCD-based calculations over a large range of masses. The proposed facility will have a defining impact in the strange meson sector through measurements of the final state system up to 2 GeV invariant mass. This will allow the determination of pole positions and widths of all relevant -,-,-,-, and -wave resonances, settle the question of the existence or nonexistence of scalar meson and improve the constrains on their pole parameters.
