Trust in the US-EU fruit and vegetable chain: Do US exporters understand EU importers?
Research on organizational and inter organizational trust has become an important field in management and marketing literature, as it is perceived as a pivotal aspect of business transactions. However, clarifications are still needed on the issue of whom we trust; is the person whom we are trading with trusted, or the organization, or just the product‐quality? Not only has this question not been answered within this field of research, neither have cultural differences have been described to any great extent. Additionally, if the perceived factors important to establish trusting relationships may or may not be the same on the buyers and the sellers side in international business transaction in food chains. The primary objective of this research study therefore is to identify how well US exporters understand the elements of trust that establish strong relationships with EU importers. The Analytical Hierarchy Process was used to evaluate the importance of different trust elements in interviews conducted with US exporters and EU importers of fruits and vegetables. Results are compared, providing both a picture of the important facets of trust, as well as whether the partners understand the perspectives of the other partner
Photoemission Spectra in t-J Ladders with Two Legs
Photoemission spectra for the isotropic two-leg t-J ladder are calculated at
various hole-doping levels using exact diagonalization techniques. Low-energy
sharp features caused by short-range antiferromagnetic correlations are
observed at finite doping levels close to half-filling, above the naive Fermi
momentum. These features should be observable in angle-resolved photoemission
experiments. In addition, the formation of a d-wave pairing condensate as the
ratio J/t is increased leads to dynamically generated spectral weight for

Single hole dynamics in dimerized spin liquids
The dynamics of a single hole in quantum antiferromagnets is influenced by
magnetic fluctuations. In the present work we consider two situations. The
first one corresponds to a single hole in the two leg t-J spin ladder. In this
case the wave function renormalization is relatively small and the
quasiparticle residue of the S=1/2 state remains close to unity. However at
large t/J there are higher spin (S=3/2,5/2,..) bound states of the hole with
the magnetic excitations, and therefore there is a crossover from
quasiparticles with S=1/2 to quasiparticles with higher spin.
The second situation corresponds to a single hole in two coupled
antiferromagnetic planes very close to the point of antiferromagnetic
instability. In this case the hole wave function renormalization is very strong
and the quasiparticle residue vanishes at the point of instability.Comment: 12 pages, 3 figure
Can HERA See an Signal of a Virtual Leptoquark?
Virtual leptoquarks could be detected at HERA through some nonstandard
effects. Here we explore the possibility that virtual leptoquarks could be
discovered via scattering, assuming integrated luminosity of 200
pb and charm identification efficiency of 1%. We study the implications
of low energy data for the leptoquarks couplings and find that the most
relevant bound for the HERA cross sections comes from inclusive . This bound implies that the cross sections for
virtual leptoquarks are just too small for observation of the signal. With an
improvement by a factor of ~2 on the luminosity or on charm identification it
could be possible to see virtual leptoquarks with {\it maximum couplings} up to
~1.5 - 2 TeV. However, the prospects for discovering the virtual particles if
their couplings are somewhat below present bounds are very dim. We point out
that this cross section could be very large for leptoquarks lighter than HERA's
kinematical limit, and if such a leptoquark is discovered we recommend
searching for a possible signal. Our results may also serve as an
update on the maximum cross sections for leptoquark mediated

Anisotropic Bose-Einstein condensates and completely integrable dynamical systems
A Gaussian ansatz for the wave function of two-dimensional harmonically
trapped anisotropic Bose-Einstein condensates is shown to lead, via a
variational procedure, to a coupled system of two second-order, nonlinear
ordinary differential equations. This dynamical system is shown to be in the
general class of Ermakov systems. Complete integrability of the resulting
Ermakov system is proven. Using the exact solution, collapse of the condensate

Kanuti National Wildlife Refuge (KNWR) was established in 1980 in Central Alaska. Collections of mammal fleas began in 1991. Six species resulted: Catallagia dacenkoi Ioff, Corrodopsylla curvata (Rothschild), Ctenophthalmus pseudagyrtes Baker, Megabothris calcarifer (Wagner), Amalaraeus dissimilis (Jordan) and Peromyscopsylla ostsibirica (Scalon). Ten species of fleas were previously recorded from the upper Koyukuk River watershed. One female specimen each of C. curvata and Ct. pseudagyrtes from the KNWR are the only new fleas added to the upper watershed list
