Leucocytozoon schoutedeni Rodhain, Pons, Vandendranden et Bequaert, 1913, chez la poule domestique, Gallus domesticus en Rhodésie
Leucocytozoon schoutedeni a été trouvé en plusieurs cas dans le nord de la Rhodésie chez la poule domestique exotique et indigène, Gallus domesticus. Une description du parasite est donnée ici. Le parasite est comparé en détail avec L. andrewsi et L. caulleryi et on suggère l'identité possible de L. andrewsi avec L. schouteden

An avian piroplasm, Babesia peircei sp. nov. is described from the jackass penguin Spheniscus demersus. Morphological differences between Babesia peircei sp. nov. and the other valid Babesia spp. are discussed together with the possible vectors

An outbreak of chlamydiosis in farmed Indopacific crocodiles (Crocodylus porosus) : clinical communication
An outbreak of chlamydiosis was diagnosed in hatchling and juvenile Indopacific crocodiles (Crocodylus porosus) on a crocodile farm in Papua New Guinea. The outbreak was characterised by high mortality with hepatitis and exudative conjunctivitis. The agent appears to have been introduced with live wild-caught crocodiles, which are purchased routinely by the farm. Improved quarantine procedures and treatment with tetracycline led to a rapid reduction of losses on the farm
