Objective : Analyze the relations between the DM type 2 and the advance lesion pulmonary tuberculosis status. Method : This study was an observational analytic research with cross sectional study design. There were 43 samples of tuberculosis patients which were treated in BKPM Semarang. The variables were measured through blood sugar levels inspection procedures and were conducted using Oral Glucose Tolerance Test(OGTT), x-ray examinations, interviews and medical records. The confounding variables in this research were smoking habits, nutritional status, housing conditions, socio-economic status, gender and age. Diabetes mellitus type 2 could increase the risk of advance lesion pulmonary tuberculosis as much as 5.25 times. The significant confounding variables in this research were smoking habits (p=0.01) and nutritional status (p=0.02).
