BIORREMEDIA??O DE SOLOS SALINIZADOS: UMA ALTERNATIVA PARA O SEMI?RIDO BRASILEIRO

impactos diretos para a sociedade. A degrada??o irrevers?vel de recursos como o
solo suscita a necessidade do emprego de t?cnicas economicamente vi?veis que
sejam ecologicamente adequadas para que se possa existir um equil?brio ambiental
e uma manuten??o na qualidade de vida. Diante da necessidade da aplica??o de
tecnologias limpas e sustent?veis, a biotecnologia ambiental oferece como t?cnica a
biorremedia??o para o tratamento de ?reas degradadas, que vem se destacando por
sua efici?ncia e efic?cia. Com isso, mediante revis?o bibliogr?fica buscou-se
compreender a t?cnica de biorremedia??o, evidenciar a sua potencialidade na
aplica??o em solos salinizados do semi?rido nordestino e fazer um levantamento de
esp?cies com potencial biorremediador. Para isto foi realizada uma revis?o
qualitativa em 20 artigos, utilizando os descritores: solos salinizados,
biorremedia??o, fitorremedia??o e semi?rido. Com os resultados da pesquisa, podese observar que a biorremedia??o se apresenta como uma t?cnica em
desenvolvimento, mas j? ? considerada proficiente em rela??o ao custo, ao
rendimento e a sustentabilidade. Em decorr?ncia disso, ? preciso enfatizar a
viabilidade da t?cnica para a recupera??o de ?reas salinizadas e a sua relev?ncia
para um desenvolvimento mais produtivo e sustent?vel
Buffy the vampire slayer: what being Jewish has to do with it
Get PDFThis article examines the whiteness in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The author argues that the show’s overwhelming whiteness is a product of a generalized white anxiety about the numerical loss of white dominance across the United States and, in particular, in California. The article goes on to think through the role that Jewishness plays in the program, discussing the relationship between the apparently Anglo-American Buffy, played by a Jewish actor, and her sidekick, Willow, who is characterized as Jewish but is played by a non-Jewish actor. The evil master in the first series is given Nazi characteristics and the destruction that he wants to inflict carries connotations of the Holocaust. Structurally, Buffy is produced as the Jew who saves the United States from this demonic destruction. In this traumatic renarrativising, the Holocaust comes to stand for the white-experienced crisis of the loss of white supremacy in the United States. With this reading we can begin to understand the show’s popularity among early adult, predominantly white Americans
