    Bu araştırmanın amacı profesyonel futbolcuların örgütsel adalet algıları ve benlik saygıları ile iş doyumları arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu 2010-2011 sezonunda, Spor Toto Süper Lig, Bank Asya Birinci Lig ve Spor Toto İkinci ve Üçüncü Futbol Liglerindeki takımlarında mücadele eden ve seçkisiz yolla seçilen 780 profesyonel futbolcu oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada profesyonel futbolculara, araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan Demografik Bilgi Formu , Coopersmith Benlik Saygısı Envanteri , Örgütsel Adalet Algısı Ölçeği ve Minnesota İş Doyumu Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Araştırmacı tarafından toplanan veriler bilgisayara işlendikten sonra, eksik veya yanlış doldurulanlar araştırma dışında tutularak verilerin doğruluk ve varyans analizine uygunluğu için ön analizlerden geçirilmiştir. Bilgilerin analizinde SPSS for 17.0 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı istatistik (Frekans, Yüzdelik, Ortalama ve Standart Sapma), Hiyerarşik Regresyon analizi, Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon Katsayısı Analizi tekniği, İki bağımsız ortam arasındaki farkın anlamlılığı testi (t testi) ve tek yönlü varyans analizi (f testi) (ANOVA) istatistiğinden çıkan değişiklikler arasındaki farklılığın kaynağını belirlemek amacıyla Tukey Çoklu Karşılaştırma (HSD) testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda ulaşılan bulgulara göre; profesyonel futbolcuların İş Doyumu puanları ile Örgütse Adalet Algıları ve Benlik Saygıları arasında anlamlı yönde korelasyonel ilişkiler olduğu belirlenmiş; yapılan hiyerarşik regresyon analizinde ise, Örgütsel Adalet Algısı ve Benlik Saygısı nın profesyonel futbolcuların Genel İş Doyumu algılarını anlamlı düzeyde yordadığı belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada katılımcıların demografik özelliklerinin, örgütsel adalet algısı değişkenine göre değerlendirildiğinde yaş, medeni durum, toplam profesyonel oynama süreleri, yıllık kazanç ve lig kategorileri arasında anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu; benlik saygısı değişkenine bakıldığında ise; yaş, medeni durum, toplam profesyonel oynama süreleri, yıllık kazanç ve lig kategorileri arasında anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, katılımcıların iş doyumu algıları ile yaş (tüm alt boyutlarda), yıllık kazanç (tüm alt boyutlarda), toplam profesyonel oynama süreleri (genel doyum- içsel doyum boyutlarında) ve lig kategorileri (tüm alt boyutlarda) arasında anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular ışığında gelecekte yapılacak çalışmalar için bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.The purpose of this study is to determine the relation between job satisfaction, organizational justice and self esteem of the professional players. In the study, the professional footballers were given a Demographical Form , Coopersmith Self Esteem Inventory and Organizational Justice Perception Scale and Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale prepared by the researcher. The data was computerized and subjected to a pre analysis in order to make it available for validity and variance analysis, leaving odd ones out. SPSS for 17.0 was used in the analysis of the data. Descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, means, and standard deviation), Hierarchical Regression Analysis, Pearson Moments Correlation Coefficient Analysis, and t-test were used and in order to determine the significance level of the results from the f-test (ANOVA) a Tukey Multiple Comparisions test was made. According to the findings of the study; It was seen that there is a statistically significant correlation between job satisfaction rates and organizational justice perceptions and self esteem of the samples. In the hierarchical regression analysis, it was seen that organizational justice and self esteem affected the job satisfaction perceptions of the footballers in significant level. In the study the demographical findings were compared to the organizational justice variable and it was seen that there were statistically significant results in terms of age, marital status, total professional play time, annual income and league categories. When the self esteem variable is evaluated, it was seen that there are statistically significant results in terms of age, marital status, total professional play time, annual income and league categories. Finally, there were other statistically significant results between the job satisfaction perceptions and age (all included), annual income (all included), total professional play time (general satisfaction- internal satisfaction) and league categories (all included). Some suggestions based on the findings were made for the future studies

    The Analysis of the 5th Grade Students’ Attitudes and Self-efficacy for Physical Education Course in terms of Demographic Characteristics

    The aim of the study is to analyze the 5th grade students’ attitudes and self-efficacy for the physical education course that they have come across for the first time which is taught by physical education and sports teachers. Law No. 6287 was issued by the Turkish Grand National Assembly National Education Culture Youth and Sports Commission on March 30, 2012 and put in the practice on April 11, 2012. It enforced compulsory education system from 8 years to 12 years and graded the education system as 4 + 4 + 4 years (URL-1). 329 fifth grade students studying at 13 public schools in the districts and villages of Rize and Trabzon cities joined the study. In addition to the Personal Information Form, “Physical Education Susceptibility Scale” (PESS) developed by Hilland et al. (2009) and adapted to Turkish by Öncü, Gürbüz, Küçükkılıç and Keskin (2015) checking its validity and reliability as a data collection tool covering 11 items were used. According to the findings of the analysis made for the "Attitude" subtitle of the 5th grade students towards physical education course; "Gender Variable"(t = 2,211; p <0.05) had a significant difference compared to "Location of School" (F = 3,044; p <0,05). In addition, according to the findings of the analysis made for the "Self-efficacy" subtitle for the physical education course of the 5th grade students, there was a significant difference in terms of “Mother’s Educational Level” (F = 2,766; p <0,05).     Examining motivation of teacher candidates to become a teacher

    Aim: The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between motivation levels and other aspects of students in Physical Education and Sports Teaching undergraduate program.Material and Methods: The study was conducted with a total of 203 students, 77 females and 126 males, studying at Physical Education and Sports Teaching undergraduate program of Karadeniz Technical University. In the present study, “Academic Motivation Scale” whose validity and reliability tests were conducted on university students and which was developed by Cocley, Bernard et al. under the scope of the study titled “A Psychometric Investigation of the Academic Motivation Scale Using a United States Sample” and “Personal Information Form” developed by the researcher to determine students’ demographic features were used for data collection. Independent-Samples t test and One-Way ANOVA statistical analysis methods were used to determine whether there is a difference between motivation levels.Results: At the end of the study, it was found out that there is a significant difference, at P&lt;0,05, between motivation levels of Physical Education and Sports Teaching students and grades, types of schools graduated and housing conditions. It was also determined that there are no significant differences, at p&lt;0,05, between motivation levels of students and age, income level and scholarship status.Conclusion: Male and female students undergo a same process from basis to professional they live the same mood and events. Not only male and female physical education teachers show similarity with regard to Sports life, training tempo, intensive camping period, physical requirements and dietary habits but also it can be suggested that they can be motivated to their profession without gender gap. On the other hand, it can also be suggested that in parallel with social and technological developments;  diminishing social status difference between males and females and females take much more roles in business life and social life

    EXAMINATION OF MENTAL TOUGHNESS SITUATIONS OF ATHLETES INTERESTED IN TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL SPORTS

    This study conducted to determine the perception of athletes interested in team and individual sports related to mental toughness situations. In the study cross-sectional method used. The study sample consisted of 155 individual or team sport participants from Rize province. In the study in order to determine the mental toughness perceptions of the participants the Turkish version of Madrigal, Hamill and Gill (2013)’s Mental Toughness Scale used. The scale adapted into Turkish by Erdoğan in 2016. The scale is a self-report scale with 11 items anchored with 5 Likert type scale. To analyze the data first Kolmogorow-Smirnow used in order to determine the distribution of the data and then Mann Whitney U and Kruskall-Walliss tests used. According to analyze results no significant differences found on the variable mental toughness according to gender, age, sports age. Besides, although the mean rank scores of the participants’ differed it was not considerable. As a result this paper showed that mental toughness of the athletes from different individual and team sports was similar in terms of gender, age and sport age. In this context, the mental training to be carried out in the direction of improving the physical and tactical training of different sports branches can be planned and implemented parallel with the results of this paper

    Transient Bone Marrow Edema Syndrome (Case Report)

    Transient bone marrow edema syndrome (BMES) is accepted as a possible cause of acute disabling hip pain. This syndrome is defined as local osteoporosis in hip in radiographies, BME in MRI which can be rarely seen and has a self-limiting course. Although the disease generally has a self-limiting course, surgical treatment by early core decompression of the femoral head has proven effective in rapidly relieving the symptoms. Although BMES is relatively rare and probably underdiagnosed when compared to nontraumatic osteonecrosis, both conditions are associated with known osteonecrosis risk factors in middle aged men and especially with late (thirdhad trimester) pregnancy in women. We have reported three cases with BMES that had different etiology and followed up presented the differential diagnosis to nontraumatic avascular osteonecrosis.
