In recent years, the demand for receiving, processing and managing information flows and documents of administrative units, state agencies and enterprises in Vietnam is very high. This task requires timely and accurate resolution time with the efficient and effective support of information technology systems. Therefore, the application of management information systems has given organizations and enterprises a continuous and accurate control and management of internal information, thus helping managers make decisions. Accurate, accurate, optimistic and increase work efficiency. They contribute to the operation of the business goes into order.Application of management information systems in enterprises is always a concern because IT plays a very important role in economic activities, business production, sales, trade promotion, business management. .However, there are still many issues surrounding the application. The problem is: Actual state of and Trend in the application of information systems of Vietnamese agencies and enterprises now? Keywords: actual state of, trend in, information systems

A model of mother tongue-based bilingual education in Vietnam: Achievements and lessons learnt

    Get PDF
This articlesummarizes findings from the implementation of the mother tongue-based bilingual education model and the tracer study on the students who participated in the mother tongue-based bilingual education program at preschool and primary schools and transitioned to higher levels of education in the framework of the UNICEFfunded "Learning for children" project. The research team would like to thank UNICEF Viet Nam,the Vietnam National Institute of Educational Sciences, Departments of Education and Training of Lao Cai, Gia Lai and Tra Vinh provinces, and educational managers, teachers and students in the three provinces for their support and cooperation.Education practices in ethnic minority areas in Vietnam with regional and ethnic differences influence its educational development. In particular, the language difference is a factor because the language used in teaching and learning is Vietnamese, not the mother tongue. Therefore, the mother tonguebased bilingual education model was developed to provide quick and convenient access to Vietnamese (the nation’s official language) and knowledge for students in ethnic minority areas. Its approach is to use the ethnic students’ mother tongues as the initial foundation in their first schooling years. The outstanding results of the successfully tested model have contributed to the improvement of the quality of ethnic minority education in Vietnam

Attitudes toward Self-Disclosure on Facebook: A Review of Perception, Emotion and Behavior in University Students

A number of social networking platforms have emerged as a result of the development of information and communication technology which have become increasingly user-friendly and full with valuable features. The social networking site with most users is Facebook. Teenagers, particularly college students use Facebook most frequently to study, gain information, entertain themselves and connect with others through self-disclosing personal information on the Facebook profile page. This quantitative study aimed to analyze the attitude of pedagogical students regarding self-disclosure on Facebook as represented through cognition, emotion and behavior concerning academic achievement. The survey was completed by 535university student’s majority in pedagogy. There were 41 students who used it for less than three years between three to five years by 218 students and 276 students who use it more than five years. The questionnaire was self-reported by participants to assess university students' attitudes toward self-disclosure on Facebook. The results indicate that pedagogical students with excellent academic achievement and more than five years of Facebook experience had the highest-level attitude toward self-disclosure on Facebook. The results indicate a positive relationship between cognition, emotion and influence factors students' Facebook attitudes. Future research on methods that enhance student positive disclosure can benefit from this study. Future research should examine how self-disclosure on Facebook relates to other aspects, such as Facebook usage time, financial state and perception of advantages and its disadvantages of Facebook in order to evaluate students' attitudes objectively

Development of a nutritional model to define the energy and protein requirements of cobia, Rachycentron canadum

This study assessed the protein and energy requirements of Cobia (Rachycentron canadum) using a bio-energetic factorial approach. Using a series of inter-related studies, several parameters were defined to enable the construction of a bio-energetic factorial model for this species. The studies included two controlled laboratory experiments and also extensive field-data collection from commercial and research farms in Vietnam. The devised model includes parameters for both maintenance and protein demands; the effect of fish live-weight on maintenance protein (LW0.697), lipid (LW0.972), and energy demands (LW0.815); the efficiencies of protein, lipid and energy utilisation at various protein, lipid and energy intake levels; and the variability in whole body composition with varying live-weight. The protein utilisation efficiencies (0.456·[protein intake]−0.445), lipid utilisation efficiencies (1.292·[lipid intake]−1.120) and energy utilisation efficiencies (0.651·[energy intake]−48.41) were similar to other carnivorous fish species. However, the maintenance requirements for both energy (74.3kJ/kgBW0.8/d−at 28°C) and protein (0.99g/kgBW0.7/d at 27.9°C) were about double to other species. Using this modelling approach it was possible to iteratively derive optimal dietary protein and energy specifications for this species

"Cultural additivity" and how the values and norms of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism co-exist, interact, and influence Vietnamese society: A Bayesian analysis of long-standing folktales, using R and Stan

Every year, the Vietnamese people reportedly burned about 50,000 tons of joss papers, which took the form of not only bank notes, but iPhones, cars, clothes, even housekeepers, in hope of pleasing the dead. The practice was mistakenly attributed to traditional Buddhist teachings but originated in fact from China, which most Vietnamese were not aware of. In other aspects of life, there were many similar examples of Vietnamese so ready and comfortable with adding new norms, values, and beliefs, even contradictory ones, to their culture. This phenomenon, dubbed "cultural additivity", prompted us to study the co-existence, interaction, and influences among core values and norms of the Three Teachings--Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism--as shown through Vietnamese folktales. By applying Bayesian logistic regression, we evaluated the possibility of whether the key message of a story was dominated by a religion (dependent variables), as affected by the appearance of values and anti-values pertaining to the Three Teachings in the story (independent variables).Comment: 8 figures, 35 page

Economic Dynamics with Renewable Resources and Pollution

This article considers a two-sector economy with externalities. In particular, the analysis involves an industrial sector whose production activities have negative effects on the regeneration of a natural resource in the other sector. Without the usual convexity or the super-modularity structure, we prove that the economy evolves to increase the \textit{net gain of stock}, and establish the conditions ensuring the convergence of the economy in the long run

Indoor environment data time-series reconstruction using autoencoder neural networks

As the number of installed meters in buildings increases, there is a growing number of data time-series that could be used to develop data-driven models to support and optimize building operation. However, building data sets are often characterized by errors and missing values, which are considered, by the recent research, among the main limiting factors on the performance of the proposed models. Motivated by the need to address the problem of missing data in building operation, this work presents a data-driven approach to fill these gaps. In this study, three different autoencoder neural networks are trained to reconstruct missing short-term indoor environment data time-series in a data set collected in an office building in Aachen, Germany. This consisted of a four year-long monitoring campaign in and between the years 2014 and 2017, of 84 different rooms. The models are applicable for different time-series obtained from room automation, such as indoor air temperature, relative humidity and CO2CO_{2} data streams. The results prove that the proposed methods outperform classic numerical approaches and they result in reconstructing the corresponding variables with average RMSEs of 0.42 {\deg}C, 1.30 % and 78.41 ppm, respectively.Comment: Accepted in Building and Environmen
