An immune system based genetic algorithm using permutation-based dualism for dynamic traveling salesman problems
Copyright @ Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2009.In recent years, optimization in dynamic environments has attracted a growing interest from the genetic algorithm community due to the importance and practicability in real world applications. This paper proposes a new genetic algorithm, based on the inspiration from biological immune systems, to address dynamic traveling salesman problems. Within the proposed algorithm, a permutation-based dualism is introduced in the course of clone process to promote the population diversity. In addition, a memory-based vaccination scheme is presented to further improve its tracking ability in dynamic environments. The experimental results show that the proposed diversification and memory enhancement methods can greatly improve the adaptability of genetic algorithms for dynamic traveling salesman problems. This work was supported by the Key Program of National Natural Science Foundation (NNSF) of China under Grant No. 70431003 and Grant No. 70671020, the Science Fund for Creative Research Group of NNSF of China under GrantNo. 60521003, the National Science and Technology Support Plan of China under Grant No. 2006BAH02A09 and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) of UK under Grant No. EP/E060722/1
Revisiting the B {\to} {\pi} {\rho}, {\pi} {\omega} Decays in the Perturbative QCD Approach Beyond the Leading Order
We calculate the branching ratios and CP asymmetries of the ,
decays in the perturbative QCD factorization approach up to the
next-to-leading-order contributions. We find that the next-to-leading-order
contributions can interfere with the leading-order part constructively or
destructively for different decay modes. Our numerical results have a much
better agreement with current available data than previous leading-order
calculations, e.g., the next-to-leading-order corrections enhance the
branching ratios by a factor 2.5, which is helpful
to narrow the gaps between theoretic predictions and experimental data. We also
update the direct CP-violation parameters, the mixing-induced CP-violation
parameters of these modes, which show a better agreement with experimental data
than many of the other approaches.Comment: 23 pages, 4 figures, 4 table
Scaling of Aharonov-Bohm couplings and the dynamical vacuum in gauge theories
Recent results on the vacuum polarization induced by a thin string of
magnetic flux lead us to suggest an analogue of the Copenhagen `flux spaghetti'
QCD vacuum as a possible mechanism for avoiding the divergence of perturbative
QED, thus permitting consistent completion of the full, nonperturbative theory.
The mechanism appears to operate for spinor, but not scalar, QED.Comment: 11 pages, ITP-SB-92-40, (major conceptual evolution from original
Static quantities of the W boson in the SU_L(3) X U_X(1) model with right-handed neutrinos
The static electromagnetic properties of the boson, and
, are calculated in the SU_L(3)} \times U_X(1) model with
right-handed neutrinos. The new contributions from this model arise from the
gauge and scalar sectors. In the gauge sector there is a new contribution from
a complex neutral gauge boson and a singly-charged gauge boson .
The mass of these gauge bosons, called bileptons, is expected to be in the
range of a few hundreds of GeV according to the current bounds from
experimental data. If the bilepton masses are of the order of 200 GeV, the size
of their contribution is similar to that obtained in other weakly coupled
theories. However the contributions to both and are
negligible for very heavy or degenerate bileptons. As for the scalar sector, an
scenario is examined in which the contribution to the form factors is
identical to that of a two-Higgs-doublet model. It is found that this sector
would not give large corrections to and .Comment: New material included. Final version to apppear in Physical Review
Study Pure Annihilation Decays in PQCD Approach
The rare decays and
can occur only via annihilation type diagrams in the standard model. In this
paper, we calculate branching ratios of these decays in perturbative QCD
approach ignoring soft final state interaction. From our calculation, we find
that their branching ratios are at with large CP
asymmetry, which may be measured in LHC-b experiment in future.Comment: 14 pages,4 figures, typos correcte
Analysis of Supersymmetric Effects on B -> phi K Decays in the PQCD Approach
We study the effects of the MSSM contribution on B -> phi K decays using the
perturbative QCD approach. In this approach, strong phases can be calculated,
so that we can predict the values of CP asymmetries with the MSSM contribution.
We predict a large relative strong phase between the penguin amplitude and the
chromomagnetic penguin amplitude. If there is a new CP violating phase in the
chromomagnetic penguin amplitude, then the CP asymmetries may change
significantly from the SM prediction. We parametrize the new physics
contributions that appear in the Wilson coefficients. We maximize the new
physics parameters up to the point where it is limited by experimental
constraints. In the case of the LR insertion, we find that the direct CP
asymmetries can reach about 85% and the indirect CP asymmetry can reach about
-30%.Comment: 18 pages, 9 figures, REVTeX, Minor changes, Version to appear in

Charmless Decays Based on the six-quark Effective Hamiltonian with Strong Phase Effects II
We provide a systematic study of charmless decays (
and denote pseudoscalar and vector mesons, respectively) based on an
approximate six-quark operator effective Hamiltonian from QCD. The calculation
of the relevant hard-scattering kernels is carried out, the resulting
transition form factors are consistent with the results of QCD sum rule
calculations. By taking into account important classes of power corrections
involving "chirally-enhanced" terms and the vertex corrections as well as weak
annihilation contributions with non-trivial strong phase, we present
predictions for the branching ratios and CP asymmetries of decays into
PP, PV and VV final states, and also for the corresponding polarization
observables in VV final states. It is found that the weak annihilation
contributions with non-trivial strong phase have remarkable effects on the
observables in the color-suppressed and penguin-dominated decay modes. In
addition, we discuss the SU(3) flavor symmetry and show that the symmetry
relations are generally respected
Study of f_0(980) and f_0(1500) from B_s \to f_0(980)\pi, f_0(1500)\pi Decays
In this paper, we analyze the scalar mesons and from
the decays within Perturbative
QCD approach. From the leading order calculations, we find that (a) in the
allowed mixing angle ranges, the branching ratio of is about , which is smaller than
that of (the difference is a few times even one
order); (b) the decay is better to distinguish
between the lowest lying state or the first excited state for ,
because the branching ratios for two scenarios have about one-order difference
in most of the mixing angle ranges; and (c) the direct CP asymmetries of for two scenarios also exists great difference. In
scenario II, the variation range of the value according to the mixing angle is very small, except for
the values corresponding to the mixing angles being near or
, while the variation range of in scenario I is very large. Compared with the future data for
the decay , it is ease to determine the nature
of the scalar meson .Comment: 16 pages, 3 figures, Revte
Study of and from and Decays
We use the decay modes and to
study the scalar mesons and within perturbative QCD
framework. For , we perform our calculation in two
scenarios of the scalar meson spectrum. The results indicate that scenario II
is more favored by experimental data than scenario I. The important
contribution from annihilation diagrams can enhance the branching ratios about
50% in scenario I, and about 30% in scenario II. The predicted branching ratio
of in scenario I is also less favored by the experiments.
The direct CP asymmetries in are small, which are
consistent with the present experiments.Comment: More references are added. Published Versio
Branching ratio and CP asymmetry of decays in the perturbative QCD approach
In this paper, we calculate the decay rate and CP asymmetry of the decay in perturbative QCD approach with Sudakov resummation. Since
none of the quarks in final states is the same as those of the initial
meson, this decay can occur only via annihilation diagrams in the standard
model. Besides the current-current operators, the contributions from the QCD
and electroweak penguin operators are also taken into account. We find that (a)
the branching ratio is about ; (b) the penguin diagrams
dominate the total contribution; and (c) the direct CP asymmetry is small in
size: no more than ; but the mixing-induced CP asymmetry can be as large
as ten percent testable in the near future LHC-b experiments.Comment: 12 pages, 4 figures included, RevTe
