The Sociopolitical Conflict In Hydroelectric Enterprises
Electrical energy is the basis of the lifestyle of contemporary society, whose main source in Brazil, is the dam, requiring the construction of major infrastructure projects. These projects drive contradictory social and political processes. In these processes, we glimpse the conflict between the Specific Purpose Entities (SPE), proponents of hydropower, and the Touched, representative parts of local populations forcibly displaced as a result of these works Movement of Affected by Dams. Having locus as the basin of Uruguay, southern Brazil, this article discusses the conflict through a "loop analysis" consists of hydropower and resettlement. We sought to understand the frequency and the motivations of those affected to participate politically in later demonstrations against their relocation hydropower. Therefore, we use a methodology that links qualitative and quantitative tools based on empirical research. The study enables us to understand that the primary motivator for participation of those affected in later for their resettlement mobilizations is human solidarity.192456

a plausible approximation of a viable theory. A numerical integration is
performed of the field equations for a free neutron gas. As in the standard
Oppenheimer-Volkoff calculation the star mass increases with increasing central
density until about 1 solar mass and then decreases. However a dramatic
difference exists in the behaviour of the baryon number, which increases
monotonically. The calculation suggests that the theory allows stars in

CMBR Weak Lensing and HI 21-cm Cross-correlation Angular Power Spectrum
Weak gravitational lensing of the CMBR manifests as a secondary anisotropy in
the temperature maps. The effect, quantified through the shear and convergence
fields imprint the underlying large scale structure (LSS), geometry and
evolution history of the Universe. It is hence perceived to be an important
observational probe of cosmology. De-lensing the CMBR temperature maps is also
crucial for detecting the gravitational wave generated B-modes. Future
observations of redshifted 21-cm radiation from the cosmological neutral
hydrogen (HI) distribution hold the potential of probing the LSS over a large
redshift range. We have investigated the correlation between post-reionization
HI signal and weak lensing convergence field. Assuming that the HI follows the
dark matter distribution, the cross-correlation angular power spectrum at a
multipole \ell is found to be proportional to the cold dark matter power
spectrum evaluated at \ell/r, where r denotes the comoving distance to the
redshift where the HI is located. The amplitude of the ross-correlation depends
on quantities specific to the HI distribution, growth of perturbations and also
the underlying cosmological model. In an ideal ituation, we found that a
statistically significant detection of the cross-correlation signal is
possible. If detected, the cross-correlation signal hold the possibility of a
joint estimation of cosmological parameters and also test various CMBR

Charge-density waves in one-dimensional Hubbard superlattices
We study the formation of charge density waves (CDW's) in one-dimensional
Hubbard superlattices, modeled by a repeated pattern of repulsive (U>0) and
free (U=0) sites. By means of Lanczos diagonalizations for the ground state, we
calculate the charge structure factor. Our results show that while the
superlattice structure affects the modulation of the charge density waves, the
periodicity can still be predicted through an effective density. We also show
that, for a fixed repulsive layer thickness, the periodicity of the CDW is an

Variation in Systemic Antibiotic Treatment for Diabetic Foot Osteomyelitis in England and Wales: A Multi-Centre Case Review â€
Background: Diabetic foot osteomyelitis (DFO) is a major complication and can lead to significant morbidity and mortality. Systemic antibiotic therapy is often initiated first line to achieve quiescence of infection. To perform a multi-centre case review of systemic antibiotic intervention to treat adults with DFO in England and Wales and compare with national guidelines ‘Diabetic foot problems: prevention and management’. Methods: Eight centres from England and Wales retrospectively collated data from a minimum of five adults (aged ≥ 18 years) from electronic case records. All patients were treated with systemic antibiotics following a new diagnosis of DFO (1 June 2021–31 December 2021). Results: 40 patients (35 males and 5 females) were included; the mean age was 62.3 years (standard deviation (SD) 13.0). Patients commenced systemic oral 14 (35%) or intravenous 26 (65%) antibiotic therapy following a new diagnosis of DFO. Twenty-seven (67.5%) patients were medically or surgically managed in the 12-week period with clinical quiescence of infection. Twenty-one patients (52.5%) had no recurrence of DFO infection within 12 weeks; seventeen (42.5%) of these patients had clinical quiescence of infection with systemic antibiotics alone without surgical intervention and nine (22.5%) of these cases had no recurrence of DFO. There were no cases of major amputation or death. All centres showed significant in-centre variability in systemic antibiotic management; variability was reported in the clinical and quantity indicators specifically to antibiotic selection, single versus dual therapy, mode of delivery and duration of treatment. Conclusions: This case review identifies there is existing variation when treating adults with systemic antibiotics for DFO. Further national guidance is required to standardise service delivery and care to improve patient outcomes
Charge-density waves in the Hubbard chain: evidence for 4k_F instability
Charge density waves in the Hubbard chain are studied by means of
finite-temperature Quantum Monte Carlo simulations and Lanczos diagonalizations
for the ground state. We present results both for the charge susceptibilities
and for the charge structure factor at densities \rho=1/6 and 1/3; for \rho=1/2
(quarter filled) we only present results for the charge structure factor. The
data are consistent with a 4k_F instability dominating over the 2k_F one, at
least for sufficiently large values of the Coulomb repulsion, U. This can only
be reconciled with the Luttinger liquid analyses if the amplitude of the 2k_F

Nature of singularity formed by the gravitational collapse in Husain space-time with electromagnetic field and scalar field
In this work, we have investigated the outcome of gravitational collapse in
Husain space-time in the presence of electro-magnetic and a scalar field with
potential. In order to study the nature of the singularity, global behavior of
radial null geodesics have been taken into account. The nature of singularities
formed has been thoroughly studied for all possible variations of the
parameters. These choices of parameters has been presented in tabular form in
various dimensions. It is seen that irrespective of whatever values of the
parameters chosen, the collapse always results in a naked singularity in all
dimensions. There is less possibility of formation of a black hole. Hence this
work is a significant counterexample of the cosmic censorship hypothesis.Comment: 9 pages, 19 figure
Induced four fold anisotropy and bias in compensated NiFe/FeMn double layers
A vector spin model is used to show how frustrations within a multisublattice
antiferromagnet such as FeMn can lead to four-fold magnetic anisotropies acting
on an exchange coupled ferromagnetic film. Possibilities for the existence of
exchange bias are examined and shown to exist for the case of weak chemical
disorder at the interface in an otherwise perfect structure. A sensitive
dependence on interlayer exchange is found for anisotropies acting on the
ferromagnet through the exchange coupling, and we show that a wide range of
anisotropies can appear even for a perfect crystalline structure with an

Interesting magnetic properties of FeCoSi alloys
Solid solution between nonmagnetic narrow gap semiconductor FeSi and
diamagnetic semi-metal CoSi gives rise to interesting metallic alloys with
long-range helical magnetic ordering, for a wide range of intermediate
concentration. We report various interesting magnetic properties of these
alloys, including low temperature re-entrant spin-glass like behaviour and a
novel inverted magnetic hysteresis loop. Role of Dzyaloshinski-Moriya
interaction in the magnetic response of these non-centrosymmetric alloys is

Bounds on the mass of the b' quark, revisited
Recent results from the DELPHI collaboration led us to review the present
bounds on the b' quark mass. We use all available experimental data for m_b' >
96 GeV to constrain the b' quark mass as a function of the
Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa elements in a sequential four generations model. We
