Inelastic J/ΨJ/\Psi Photoproduction off Nuclei: Gluon Enhancement or Double Color Exchange?

The nuclear enhancement observed in inelastic photoproduction of J/ΨJ/\Psi should not be interpreted as evidence for an increased gluon density in nuclei. The nuclear suppression of the production rate due to initial and final state interactions is calculated and a novel two-step color exchange process is proposed, which is able to explain the data.Comment: Latex file, 23 pages including 5 Postscript figure

Analysis Of Management and Patient Intervention For Effort Of Health Promoting Hospital (HPH) Of H. Adam Malik Medan General Hospital Center in 2012. Nowadays, reorientation of hospital's services is not only oriented to curative and rehabilitative, while also prioritizing preventive and promotive aspects to be a health promoter hospital. The research was a qualitative study that analyzed the implementation of health promotion of H. Adam Malik Medan General Hospital based on WHO standard on the standard of hospital as health promoter that compliance the management policy aspects and intervention to the patient in health promoter aspects. The research was applied indepth interview, observation and document study as data collection tools. The research indicated that H. Adam Malik Medan General Hospital had fulfill the standard of WHO on health promotion hospital. The policy comitment aspect of H. Adam Malik Medan General Hospital had be realized in a strategic plan such as annual work plan. Quantitatively the human resources was sufficient, but qualitatively it needs to improve the quality through training of existing health promotion hospital. The budget had be included in the budget of H. Adam Malik Medan General Hospital. The facilities and infrastructure was good qualitatively, but quantitatively it must be increase. The documentationof intervention had implemented routinely. The evaluation was also conducted in monthly or annually meeting. The point of patient intervention, the assessment on health promotion requirement for the patient need was implemented since the patient obtain the first service through the medical record of health history of patient. The access of information about health promotion for the patient had be presented either verbally or in written form, also presented in audio and visual

The implementation of the planning to health centers in Medan is guided by the Standard Manual for Health Center. The main purpose of planning to helth center is to prevent any problems on public health, it shall be due to public health, the effort to health development or for supporting to public health. In addition, it aims to improve performance of health center in arranging the annual activities with plans for health center capable to do activities efficiently, effectively and shall be accountable. This research was a survey with qualitative approach witch was aimed to explain how the planning of the health centers in Medan for 2012. The primary data were collected by thorough interviews, and the secondary data were obtained from the health service Medan. The informants to this research comprised of 10 persons, one head of program and planning of the city health service in Medan, three head of health centers (Health centers of Glugur Darat, Kampung Baru, and Kedai Durian), and ten staff for health centers. The result of the research showed that all the informants had known the planning of the health centers in Medan city. The health centers in Medan was do or arrange it well with term POA (Plan Of Action) that has been done routinely annually. For 2012, there is not done yet any special training about the planning, it is shortage of fund reasonable, the health centers mostly aware the points of planning to execute and fortunately in generally according to four phases, such as pre-planning, analysis on situation, arrange the plan of activity and arrange the plan of implementation. For all the phases has been done properly. It is encouraged to all Health Centers available on Medan city more passionateto havea better official planning and do it optimally based on the problems dealth with as usual and also to improve the human resources available

One of the main demography issues in Indonesia is a higher growth rate of population. Nowadays, there are any efforts to control the growth rate of the population through the control of birth rate or fertility by using contraception involuntary by the fertile spouse. This research is a survey by Explanatory research approach to study the determinant influence the implementation of family planning (KB) program.. Population in this research is all of fertile spouse while the number of sample is 94 respondents. The data analysis applied in this research is logistic regression test on confidential level 95 %. The results of research indicates that there is influence of the society value (p=0,017), resource availibility (p=0,000), the trust to family planning (KB) service (p=0,031) to the utilization of KB program while variable that has not influence is educational level, occupation, earning, perception, and attitude of the official. It is suggested to anyone who serve the family planning (KB) provide the society with extension proactively especially to the fertile spouse to enable them understand the advantages of family planning (KB) program, the side effect of the contraception tools and to change the society paradigm to the value available in society to make them trust and use KB progra

The fundamental problem of command : plan and compliance in a partially centralised economy

When a principal gives an order to an agent and advances resources for its implementation, the temptations for the agent to shirk or steal from the principal rather than comply constitute the fundamental problem of command. Historically, partially centralised command economies enforced compliance in various ways, assisted by nesting the fundamental problem of exchange within that of command. The Soviet economy provides some relevant data. The Soviet command system combined several enforcement mechanisms in an equilibrium that shifted as agents learned and each mechanism's comparative costs and benefits changed. When the conditions for an equilibrium disappeared, the system collapsed.Comparative Economic Studies (2005) 47, 296–314. doi:10.1057/palgrave.ces.810011

Glauber theory of initial- and final-state interactions in (p,2p) scattering

We develop the Glauber theory description of initial- and final-state interactions (IFSI) in quasielastic A(p,2p) scattering. We study the IFSI-distortion effects both for the inclusive and exclusive conditions. In inclusive reaction the important new effect is an interaction between the two sets of the trajectories which enter the calculation of IFSI-distorted one-body density matrix for inclusive (p,2p) scattering and are connected with incoherent elastic rescatterings of the initial and final protons on spectator nucleons. We demonstrate that IFSI-distortions of the missing momentum distribution are large over the whole range of missing momentum both for inclusive and exclusive reactions and affect in a crucial way the interpretation of the BNL data on (p,2p) scattering. Our numerical results show that in the region of missing momentum p_{m}\lsim 100-150 MeV/c the incoherent IFSI increase nuclear transparency by 5-10\%. The incoherent IFSI become dominant at p_{m}\gsim 200 MeV/c.Comment: Accepted in Z. Phys.A, Latex, 26 pages, uuencoded 9 figure

We study the well-posedness and asymptotic behaviour of selected PDE-PDE and PDE-ODE systems on one-dimensional spatial domains, namely a boundary coupled wave-heat system and a wave equation with a dynamic boundary condition. We prove well-posedness of the models and derive rational decay rates for the energy using an approach where the coupled systems are formulated as feedback interconnections of impedance passive regular linear systems.Comment: 12 pages, 1 figure, accepted for publication in the Proceedings of "Semigroups of Operators: Theory and Applications", Kazimierz Dolny, Poland, October 201
